Patch 7.13 | How is his current state?

Hey guys, this is a fresh new Warwick Guide, but as of now for Patch 7.13 he is in a VERY solid spot with a VERY strong win/loss ratio. His sustain alone in the jungle and early strength is one of his major pros, he is a fantastic solo queue champion at the moment and would absoloutley recommend picking him up.

Introduction

Hey everyone. I originally have over 2.4M views on my Katarina Guide and have decided to make a Jungle Guide for Warwick - my favourite jungler of all time.

Here is my current Win Rate with Warwick.

I'd also like to notify everyone that I have been COACHED By a Diamond Warwick player so a lot of what I learned was from him and I added that into my own knowledge of the game, resulting in a pretty deadly Warwick.

I occasionally also play Warwick on my Twitch Stream, so hop in and ask me anything you want & I'd be glad to help out.

Here is my stream | twitch.tv/alninio9

I hope you find my Warwick guide helpful, without further due, let's begin.

Why Play Warwick?

Warwick is one of the best sustain Junglers in League Of Legends, he also has simple mechanics, but take a bit of time to get used to and understand fully. A lot of beginners tend to question his Blood Hunt and how it fully works but eventually you'll begin to understand that his Blood Hunt is one of the primary reasons why Warwick is EXTREMELY fun to play.

He's really good at what he does and for those just starting out jungling or even experienced junglers, this champion truly does have a lot to offer.

He's also top tier jungler at the moment with a solid win rate. He is the true token to victory if played right.

PROS & CONS

PROS & CONS

Pros:

- Fantastic champion for beginners & Veterans alike.

- Excellent duelist in the early stages of the game.

- Excellent counter Jungler thanks to his fast and easy Jungle Clears.

- Jungle sustain is not a problem thanks to his passive/attack speed.

- his Jaws of the Beast hold down follows Flash and dashes such as Ezreal Arcane Shift

- Can easily solo dragon at Level 4 thanks to his passive/attack speed.

- His self-sustain vs counter junglers is phenominal.

Cons

- At 6 items, He tends to fall off depending on game flow and how strong the enemies are.

- His Infinite Duress can be cancelled, so you need to time his ultimate properly.

- can be kited if you can't gap close with your Jaws of the Beast or if your Infinite Duress is on cooldown, aswell as no Blood Hunt on the enemy champion.

Short Version Of My Warwick Guide | Video

This is a basic short Version of my full Warwick guide - if you prefer to have a QUICK and BRIEF overview of his runes/masteries/items explained, this is the video to go for. This is if you prefer not to read walls of text and want just a quick way to get the information.

This is even also for you guys who do read out the full guide as you get to hear my point of view.

Jungle Clearing Path

In this video, I explain the jungle clearing with Warwick - what steps to take and why. This is pretty fundamental for all junglers to know and not knowing this will put you at a significant disadvantage as you're essentially just auto attacking jungle monsters without really thinking more openly/predicting enemy jungler's movements.

As a jungler you have to be CONSTANTLY thinking and on the go, in the video I also explain when you should go for a raptors invade.

Runes

This will be your standard marks on Warwick - He LOVES attack speed, his Blood Hunt also synchronizes well with how much he loves attack speed. You could always go Greater Mark of Attack Damage but I find this to be better on Warwick.

You are probably wondering why I don't go for Greater Seal of Armor but that's only because Warwick does NOT struggle in the jungle in anyway. He does not need flat armour stats to aid his jungle clear because he clears the jungle in such a fluent manner. He is easily one of the best jungle clear champions in the game, focus on scaling health to make you relevant in the late game.

&

Here, we go for 2 Greater Glyph of Attack Speed and fill the rest with Greater Glyph of Magic Resist - the reason we go for the little 2 attack speed glyphs in there is because we want a total of 30% attack speed from your runes. This will give you precisely 30% attack speed, and Warwick loves it when you give him what he wants.

Toss in a few more Greater Glyph of Magic Resist to help out with your early game aswell.

Fill in the rest of your quints here with attack speed, as previously mentioned, Warwick loves attack speed and this not only helps out how much he basic attacks, but also helps with early game dueling with the enemy jungler as every hit gets him back life.

The lower health he is, the more lifesteal he gets back for every basic attack which is why you should fully prioritize attack speed with Warwick in his runes.

Masteries

I'll be explaining the decision behind my masteries and why I go for what I go for.

Self-explanatory. It gives attack speed, Warwick loves attack speed. Go for this on attack speed champions.

Warwick does not struggle with sustain and he is not laning to go for Feast - Simply go for what gives you more damage.

You might be wondering why not go for Vampirism for the lifesteal to help with his Blood Hunt but reality is Warwick already has SOOOOO much of it thanks to his passive. We also already buy Spirit Visage to help us with our lifesteal and we also go for a point in resolve Runic Armor which enhances our healing even further.

I feel like putting points into this is an overkill, we go for the extra damage in there since we don't go for Greater Mark of Attack Damage or Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage.

deals additional damage, self-explanatory. Warwick has a powerful early game, and you should put a point into this to enhance dueling.

Magic penetration, I know what you're thinking. This is the better option over Battering Blows because as Warwick you are mostly dealing MAGIC damage, even your auto attacks have magic damage in there that scales per level. this will help with your Jaws of the Beast aswell.

Your keystone will be this as Warwick auto attacks a lot and this will aid him in dueling, it also gives you stacks when you use your ultimate. Every CLAW you hit with your ultimate stacks up Fervor of Battle .

Early health regen, helps with your early Rejuvenation Bead and allows you to be healthy early game. It also helps you when dueling in a 1vs1 situation and helps with early jungle clearing.

receiving less damage from jungle monsters and champions. Self-explanatory and is the best option out of the other 3.

This will help you stay sustained when dueling and it also compliments Warwick's playstyle in every way. He gets back more lifesteal which is something that is literally built within Warwick's kit. absolutely go for this.

reduces your cooldown on Smite and Flash. As a jungler you should go for this because you need to Smite a lot for when securing dragon, baron, jungle monsters, smiting enemies. This is definitely the way to go.

Build Path/Items EXPLAINED

Here I will be explaining the build path order from beginning to end, which will hopefully showcase my reasoning behind purchasing these items.

&

These will be your jungle starting items, you want to get those in every game when you start off in the fountain. The reason we don't go Refillable Potion or Health Potion is because Warwick does NOT struggle during his early jungle clearing, he is flawless and is always staying healthy.

the other reason is that Rejuvenation Bead is a recipe for Tiamat which is a VERY important item on Warwick - easily one of the most essential early game items to get on Warwick so by going Rejuvenation Bead we get Tiamat a lot quicker. It should be your first buy when you back if possible.

Buy this item on your first back if possible. If you can't, simply buy Long Sword and continue to finish the Tiamat at a later time.

The reason we buy Tiamat on our first back is because it will give us better jungle clearing, Warwick does not have Area of effect damage and he completely relies on auto attack. This item will help out his jungle clear speed and be on the go for ganks. It is also a fantastic item damage-wise in the early stages of the game and should be completed into a Titanic Hydra at a later time in the game.

& - OR

You don't want to go Stalker's Blade on Warwick in my opinion because Skirmisher's Sabre compliments Warwick and his nature with aggression, a lot of the times you are 1v1ing the enemy jungler depending on how you play and he's an ultimate duelist/survivor. Going Skirmisher's Sabre just makes more sense.

Sheen is great for when you are AHEAD and you are confident in yourself. This will be transformed into a Trinity Force which Warwick loves when he's ahead. Sheen can also be sold later on if you choose to direct yourself away from snowballing and focus on building more tanky. DON'T GET Trinity Force WHEN YOU ARE BEHIND.

Ninja Tabi or Mercury's Treads for your boots choice. Buy Ninja Tabi if they have a lot of auto attack reliant champions such as Yasuo - Zed - Jinx - Tryndamere - Jax. Buy a Mercury's Treads against champions with crowd control or if they have no auto attack reliant champions. Buy this item against Lissandra - Syndra - Cho'Gath

Don't forget to complete your Skirmisher's Sabre and upgrade it into a cinderhulk after buying the items above. You can choose to get it after Sheen.

Here is where you will begin to buy according to the situation.

You will be buying this item when you are snowballing, it's also a recipe to finish off your early Sheen. This item is fantastic on Warwick when you are ahead, Don't buy this item when you see yourself falling behind. If it takes you really long to buy this item, it's almost NEVER worth it.

You will always be having this item sitting in your inventory, it's far too good on Warwick as it both gives MR AND compliments Warwick's playstyle and nature with lifesteal as it enhances how much healing you receive for every auto attack, every Jaws of the Beast. It is a perfect item and this is mainly an item you get after finishing your Trinity Force.

This is pretty much a core item on Warwick.

Grab this item for the fantastic movement speed it gives, allowing you to sprint across the map even more so than other champions thanks to Blood Hunt which gives him extra movement speed to champions who drop low health. You don't want to a Warwick running to you with this item as you're low health. trust me.

Grab Randuin's Omen when they have Crit reliant/attack speed champions. A good example is when you are up against Yasuo - Jinx - Jax - This item really does wonders against those type of champions.

At this point you should finish up your Tiamat and complete it into a Titanic Hydra as you progress into the late game. I don't think this is an item you should rush early on, even when you are snowballing. It is better to buy Trinity Force when you are snowballing and then proceed to buy tank items afterwards.

Warwick strength comes within his early game and even though his late game isn't so bad, he still needs to be tanky later on. Don't be over confident and play it right.
