About Me
Currently, I'm working on youtube and mobafire guides so check out some of the other guides that I have made.
So Warwick is a very strong jungler in the right hands he's an all-around champion that's good for learning the Jungle and is still good in high elo, I have been playing him a lot and I think he is busted even with the 8.9 Patch which nerfed his Q damage.
Currently, I have a 67% Winrate around High Gold (i know I have a lot to learn but i can still teach how to easily climb to High gold)
Warwicks Strength lies in his ability to have high pressure around the map with his W(BloodHunt) as it allows him to sense champions below 50% HP giving him an MS & AS boost
Luckily for us, Warwick doesn't really have complicated Rune setups and usually different variations will be what you take on the secondary tree.
PRESS THE ATTACK
Press the attack is currently the best Rune you can take on Warwick as it has great synergy with his kit giving his Ult more damage PASSIVE: Basic attacks against enemy champions apply stacks for 4 seconds. Attacking a new target removes all stacks from the previous target. Applying 3 stacks to a target deals 40 - 180 (based on level) bonus Attack damageAbility power Adaptive damage and makes them Exposed for 6 seconds, causing them to take 8% - 12% (based on level) increased damage from all subsequent sources (except from true damage).
Basic attacks against an Exposed target do not apply stacks, nor can you apply stacks to another target while one is Exposed.
ADAPTIVE DAMAGE: Deals either physical or magic damage depending on your bonus statistics, defaulting to physical damage.
TRIUMPH
Triumph is the best rune out of the 3 you get to choose from since it gives you extra gold and restores 12% of missing HP which can save your life PASSIVE: Champion Damage rating takedowns, after a 0.5-second delay, restore 12% of your missing health and grant an additional Gold 20.
LEGEND: ALACRITY
Legend: alacrity is great paired with your Press the attack since they both can give you some nice attack speed and since you won't be building Attack speed it is greatly needed
PASSIVE: Gain 3% (+1.5% per Legend stack) bonus Attack speed icon attack speed, up to 18% with 10 stacks.
LEGEND: Gain Legend stacks for every 20 points earned, up to 10:
20 points for champion Damage rating takedowns
20 points for epic monster Damage rating takedowns
5 points for large monster kills
1 points for minion kills
COUP DE GRACE
Coup De Grace is the best choice since it goes well with your W which gives you MS and attack speed when targets are below 50% HP PASSIVE: Deal 7% increased damage to champions below 40% maximum health.
Additionally, you gain 9 bonus Attack Damage or 15 Ability Power (Adaptive) for 10 seconds whenever you score a champion Damage rating takedown. This bonus does not stack.
ADAPTIVE: Grants bonuses based on which stat you already have the most bonuses for. Defaults to the first listed.
CELERITY
Celerity is also a must-have on Warwick since it gives you even more movement speed PASSIVE: Gain 3% Movement speed icon bonus movement speed.
Additionally, you gain bonus Ability Power or Attack Damage (Adaptive) based on your bonus movement speed.
(8% bonus MS) Ability Power
(4.8% bonus MS) Attack Damage
ADAPTIVE: Grants bonuses based on which stat you already have the most bonuses for. Defaults to the first listed.
THE ULTIMATE HAT
The Ultimate hat is definitely debatable since a lot of Warwick players like taking waterwalking. The reason why I take ultimate hat is because I don't usually build much CDR so I like having some on my ultimate which helps Warwick apply more pressure.PASSIVE: Reduces the cooldown of your ultimate ability by 5%, increased by 2% each time you cast your ultimate, up to 15% after 5 casts.
This stacks multiplicatively with Cooldown reduction icon cooldown reduction.
WATERWALKING
Waterwalking is the Rune that majority of Warwick players take and I think its a good rune on him, it gives you movement speed and adaptive in the river so it's great getting to lanes and is great for fighting near Dragon and baron. PASSIVE: Reduces the cooldown of your ultimate ability by 5%, increased by 2% each time you cast your ultimate, up to 15% after 5 casts.
This stacks multiplicatively with Cooldown reduction icon cooldown reduction.
The great thing about Warwick is that the items you build are pretty standard and nothing gets too complicated.
STARTING ITEMS
Hunters machete and Rejuvenation Bead will usually be your starting items on Warwick and it's because Hunter's machete gives you the most damage for your first clear and Rejuvenation Bead helps you pick up your timat earlier
STANDARD BUILD
So this is the standard build that most Warwicks take and the reason why is because it gives you everything a Warwick needs its makes you Tanky and gives you movement speed, of course, there will be games where you will have to build differently.
SITUATIONAL ITEMS
KNIGHT'S VOW
so the Knights vow is picked when it hits the later stages of the game and you have a hyper carry like Kog'maw, Vayne and Kai'sa. Warwick doesn't have the best late game so protecting your carries will help you win team fights.
RANDUIN'S OMEN
Randuin's omen is great against crit heavy champions like Yasuo, Caitlyn, Tristana, Tryndamere, and other champions it also gives you an active where you can slow the enemy 55% for 2 seconds.
ADAPTIVE HELM
Adaptive helm gives you unique passive: Taking magic damage from a spell or effect reduces all subsequent magic damage from that same spell or effect by 20% for 4 seconds its a very strong item against champions like Cassiopeia, Taliyah, Singed, Karthus, Kayle, and Syndra
MERCURY'S TREADS
Grab Mercury's Treads when the enemy team has a fed AP champion or has heavy AP team comp the item is also great against CC since it reduces CC by 30%
RIGHTEOUS GLORY
Righteous Glory is good to start off engages and chase down enemies it also gives you some insane MS with your W and Deadman's Plate
AGGRESSIVE ITEMS
BOOTS OF MOBILITY
Boots of mobility gives you a lot of MS, if I have an early game team comp like Pantheon, Leblanc, Caitlyn and thresh i will rush this item after tiamat and gank as much as i can.
SKIRMISHER'S SABRE - WARRIOR
This item is for those games that you're Super ahead and you can't get punished by being squishy, since the nerf of his Q this item is the best but can still work in some scenarios.
in this section, I run through warwicks abilities and teach you how to use them correctly.
Warwicks Passive Eternal hunger makes him very flexible as it gives him magic damage on-hit while also giving him healing below 50% HP, it also allows him to play in mostly AD comps without having to switch to a full AP jungler, his passive is a big reason why he usually takes precision as he main rune tree.
ETERNAL HUNGER: INNATE: Warwick's basic attacks deal 10 - 44 (based on level) bonus magic damage on-hit,
While below 50% maximum health, Warwick's basic attacks also heal him for the same amount, with the healing tripled to 30 - 132 (based on level) while below 25% maximum health.
Warwick's Q is very important to his kit as it allows him to get behind his enemies and fear them, it is also used as a gap closer and can be used to follow escape abilities like flash if timed correctly. ACTIVE: Warwick dashes Unstoppable icon unstoppably to the target enemy and bites them, dealing them magic damage, applying on-hit effects and healing himself for a portion of the damage dealt.
MAGIC DAMAGE:
120% AD (+ 90% AP) (+ 6 / 6.5 / 7 / 7.5 / 8% of target's maximum health)
HEALING PERCENTAGE:
30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70%
If Jaws of the Beast is held, Warwick will lock his teeth into his target and use them to swing himself around to their far side. Warwick is Silence iconDisarm icon unable to act while swinging around his target, and will move wherever they move until he jumps off. Warwick cannot be Airborne icon displaced while attached to an enemy.
Warwicks W is what makes him very strong it gives you Movement speed when enemies are below 50% HP while even showing them in the fog of war as a blood stain, this ability is great for showing up to duels that your laners might be having it also allows you to pick off enemies and if you have your ult il usually dive people depending on how low they are and what summoners they have left.PASSIVE: Warwick gains bonus attack speed against all enemies below 50% of their maximum health.
BONUS ATTACK SPEED:»
50 / 65 / 80 / 95 / 110%
Enemy champions below that amount are also Blood Hunted, granting him out-of-combat bonus movement speed while moving toward them as well as highlighting their position to his team.
BONUS MOVEMENT SPEED:»
35 / 40 / 45 / 50 / 55%
The bonus movement and attack speed are tripled against enemy champions below 20% maximum health.
ACTIVE: Warwick briefly senses all enemies and then Blood Hunts the nearest enemy champion within a large radius for 8 seconds, regardless of their current health.
Blood Hunt cannot be activated while in combat with a champion, and cools down twice as fast if Warwick is not Blood Hunting
Warwick E is very useful as it makes you pretty tanky when activated and it helps in ganks to slow the enemy or fear them towards your team if you can manage to use your Q to get behind them, when your E is charging up you will take reduced damage. FIRST CAST: Warwick reduces all incoming damage for 2.5 seconds. After 1 second, Primal Howl can be re-activated, and automatically does so after 2.5 seconds.
DAMAGE REDUCTION:
35 / 40 / 45 / 50 / 55%
Primal Howl 2
SECOND CAST: Warwick unleashes a howl, ending the damage reduction in the process, and causes all nearby enemies to Flee icon flee for 1 second as well as Slow icon slowing them by 90%.
Landing Infinite Duress Infinite Duress will automatically reactivate Primal Howl, but the Suppression icon suppressed target will not Flee icon flee.
Warwick's ult is really useful, it can help you have some very successful ganks, it can give you an escape, you can use it as a Gap Closer, and its a supress which means that you can steal things like baron and dragon with it since the enemy won't be able to smite for 1.5 seconds. ACTIVE: Warwick leaps Unstoppable icon unstoppably in the target direction, stopping upon hitting an enemy champion, Suppression icon suppressing them for 1.5 seconds.
Warwick channels while the target is Suppression icon suppressed, dealing them magic damage and applying on-hit effects once every 0.5 seconds. Infinite Duress heals Warwick for all the damage dealt by it.
