Spells:
Smite
Flash
Ability Order
Umbra Blades (PASSIVE)
Nocturne Passive Ability
Introduction
This is my first guide on Mobafire and its going to be about . Im not a superhigh elo player or something but i play a lot 5v5 premade and thats what this guide is all about. A team fight based oriented off-tank build with decent initiate, damage and sustain. In addition item builds that disrupt carrys and the ability to chase them down.
Also a bit situational. Since blue buff got nerfed i prefer the
Runic Affinity
because Noc is mana hungry and it helps early game for fast cleaning and gaining some levels. Also
Summoner's Resolve
is completely disposeable - but i like the early gold and " Smite es always up"
Early Game:
A lot of Nocturne start with a Vampiric Scepter. However i prefer Cloth Armor +5 Health Potion. I think it gives you more oppertunitys - you can react and help if a lane is getting ganked early or if u simply want to gank an overextended lane. Just pop some potions and get back to full health.
First trip back you get the Boots in case you have to gank. But my main goal is getting level 6 ASAP!
Complete your Wriggle's Lantern
Mid Game:
After that i grab a Phage and a Heart of Gold for the extra sustain, damage and gold income. Complete the Frozen Mallet for harder ganks, this makes sure that once you jump on someone they wont escape you.
Follow up with Mercury's Treads, because they will CC you in the upcoming teamfights.
Now it gets situational, if laning phase still goes on i grab The Brutalizer for harder ganks, if teamfights are already all over the place i'll get the Warden's Mail or even Randuin's Omen.
End Game:
If all goes well you have your full gear arround the 35 min mark, that means finshing your Randuin's Omen and Youmuu's Ghostblade now you are up for the task - hunting down carries in a teamfight!
Last slot is completely situational but i recommend a defensive item such as Banshee's Veil - extra Spellshild, Atma's Impaler - Extra Armor + DMG (if you dont get focused that much) but most of the time i prefer a Frozen Heart - since it gives TONS of armor, CDR and very important - attack speed reduction of enemys arround you. Since you will end up right in the middle of everything this maight tip the scales. The new item Maw of Malmortius is also worth to consider if the enemy has double AP's.
Complete Item Build:
- ( )
Lategame you might want to sell your Wriggle's Lantern and buy a Bloodthirster or one of the following items instead:
You might consider:
more armor + DMG
extra spellshield
2nd life
sort of spellshield + DMG
if enemy has real fed AP carry, but i would rather prefer Maw of Malmortius now over this item
Ganking:
Before Level 6:
open up with Duskbringer and follow the trail since you get a nice speed buff and avoid unit collision - then ofc use Unspeakable Horror, if you fear a spell from the guy u want to gank just pop up your Shroud of Darkness before you get in range. If you are lucky the fear turns the enemy towards you.
After Level 6:
You can open up with you Paranoia to charge over walls or catch low health people of guard, or just to finish them off - once your near them its the same skill sequence as pre 6. If you have your Frozen Mallet or even your Phage alraedy you will have either a permaslow or a 25% slow chance.
The best thing is you dont care about wards, you can just jump into a lane from far away, making warding less usefull.
Enemys will fear the DAAAAAARKNESS!! just like Chaox
Teamfights:
with a complete build you will be able to really, really REALLY able to help your team. You either can wait for someone in your team to open up a teamfight or go for yourself if you see the enemy team is out of position.
Open up with Paranoia and jump on the Carry that u fear the most - you'll mostly end up right in the middle of the mess. Now you have to be fast - immediatly try to get Unspeakable Horror on the enemy Carry - be sure to activate Shroud of Darkness since it blocks the first spell on you for free.
Simultaniously you pop ALL of your stuff - that means Randuin's Omen & Youmuu's Ghostblade - Randuin's Omen will slow the movement AND the attack speed of everyone of EVERYONE nearby and most importantly the enemy AD carrys attack speed. Youmuu's Ghostblade on the other hand will set yourself under steroids since you will attack and move faster.
In addition to Frozen Mallet no one should be able to escape you. At least you really can keep the enemy AD-Carry very bussy for good amount of time. If the Enemy AD carry is really fed a Frozen Heart will greatly enhance your survivability because beside giving you 99 more armor it will also lower the attack speed from everybody arround you.
even you cant tank forever, so Flash is the best and fastest way to say goodbye to a teamfight.
When you are battleing against an even team it all comes down to teamfights, therefore your carrys are the most important caracters to focus or to protect. This guide should follow the patch of catching AND sticking to the enemy carry and trying to hunt him down or if you cant do that just keep him long enough busy that your carrys get the damage rolling.
You wont be a killer out there, since it is the carries job but you'll be a force to be reconed with and a significant threat to the enemy carries.
