Welcome to a guide to play Xin Zhao, he is so OP that i played 24/3/4 (or something like that) in my second game. The total kills where 30/15 (or something like that). So Xin Zhao is extreme OP and easy to play.

Runes aren't realy important to xin, he can even play with AP runes because the passive of battle cry. But I like the tanky runes with Greater Mark of Attack Damage and Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage for extra damage.

Masteries are just like runes not realy important, just pick carry masteries with some nice jungle masteries like Swiftness and Runic Affinity . You can also choose for full tanky masteries, this is also realy nice.

Now you think I'm gona say items aren't realy important, but items are just so important. So this subject will be realy big. I'll talk about the full builded items


Start with Vampiric Scepter and rush you wriggle's to jungle much faster.


Xin has a low AS without battle cry, so I think you need these boots, but do you want to be tanky? Then just pick Mercury's Treads or Ninja Tabi


Rush your B.F. Sword for that great damage, and then finish your black cleaver, it's nice against much armor, and gives you some more AS what you just need.


I know I'm irritating you with "you need AS" but it is just true I'm realy srry. You need a Zeal for some extra movement speed, the crit chance is nice, but the most important "you need the AS" (truely srry)


You get some later in the game, you are melee, so you are easy to focus, you need some tankyness. Pick this item to get more tanky. But the frozen mallet also gives you that nice CC, great with your Three Talon Strike because they get slowed and will be knocked.


With this item you get a great chance of gettting crits, these crits will make huge damage, and thats what you want.

I have to say this before Bloodthirster. Sell your Boots and get zeal, you have enough movement speed, and finish your build later with the phantom dancer.


Sell your wriggle's, you won't jungle anymore, so you dont need it and with bloodthirster you still have lifesteal.

other nice ones

1. need gold? get Avarice Blade or philosopher's stone
2. do your enemy get to much armor? get some armor pentatration

Oh gosh, this is just so hard, all your skills are just to strong. I like the combo of Battle Cry and Three Talon Strike, so I should max these two first. But if you want something else, just do that, it's all okay. The only thing you have to do is max Crescent Sweep at lvl 6, 11 and 18.

Smite just pick this spell, you need to jungle with it.
Ignite I just like ignite, the extra damage is just nice.

Flash it's just a nice spell, a little tp that you realy need.
Ghost on long range xin is useluss, you need to get close, use this spell to get close.
Exhaust some nice extra CC when ganking.

Never, never, never start at red. You need to start blue, so you can do your Battle Cry in every camp. Go for wolfs, and ghouls after your blue. Then go for the two golems, and after that get the red by smite. After that gank, use ignite and make the first blood.

Use your ult at the start of a teamfight, you get 25 armor and magic resist per champ you hit, so that is 125, this is enough to tank the teamfight. It also deals huge damage, becaus its 15% of the people's current health, and at the start thats just their full health.
