I am a 2k elo player, and I main the Jungle. I play a lot of Mordekaiser middle though, as I find it easy to get my Elo up with it. Over countless months of testing, this is my Mordekaiser build. I am a 16 year old girl that lives in New york, and I want to be a Pro player one day, and join Esports.

I recommend using smart cast for playing Mordekaiser. If you want to figure it out, google it. Too lazy to explain how to enable it.

Your passive, Iron Man, gives morde a shield that lowers it's health over time. It will absorb ALL damage you take until it reaches 0. This is what makes Mordekaiser. Pretty much if you build more ability power, the tankier you will get, and longer you will last in fights.

You want to max Siphon of Destruction first, as it gives you the ability to harass, and gain you're shield in big team fights. Your Siphon of Destruction will be you're main farming tool, as after you get enough ability power, you can one shot caster minions, and even melee minions after deathcap!

You're next ability you want to max is you're Q, Mace of Spades. It is pretty much you're late game AoE nuke or single target nuke, depending on the situation. For example, if you are only after 1 champion, you want to make sure no creeps are in the way. You would Siphon of Destruction them 1st, and you're Mace of Spades would do DOUBLE the damage. Always keep in mind that you're Mace of Spades goes to 3 other targets, so if you aren't in range of someone to deal the finishing blow, simply hitting a minion or champion next to you could just score a kill.

You're last ability you want to max is you're w, you're Creeping Death. It gives you amazing resistances, and the slow it gives when you have your Rylai's Crystal Scepter on you're tank when they go in is pretty crazy. It doesn't do much early game as you aren't leveling it, but with enough ability power you will be doing damage people don't expect over time.

Children of the Grave, you're R, you level at 6, 11, and 16. It is great to use Children of the Graveon the Ranged carry, however, chances are late game it'll be hard to get a ghost of the ranged carry due to the quick silver sash and how far away he will be and unsafe to get to. Using Children of the Grave on Tanky Dps, or even a AP caster, is always a fine idea, as each hit the ghost does adds on to Mordekaiser's shield, which means you never die!

ALWAYS REMEMBER TO USE YOU'RE Children of the Grave IF YOU'RE ABOUT TO DIE! THE ABOUT OF HEALTH YOU GAIN THROUGH ABILITY POWER AND SPELL VAMP IS CRAZY!

Boots 3 is a very strong start, as it makes you dodge skill shots, and evade ganks easier!

The next item is Hextech Revolver and sorcerer shoes. Both these items greatly increases the strength of Mordekaiser's early-mid game. This will make him very tough to deal with, and usually you can't deal with him unless you get a gank.

The next item is Rylai's Crystal Scepter. The slow mid game and the health will pervent you from being nuked and focused by enemy champions, as a combination of you're sheilds and health will make it a bit risky to focus you down. It makes for a great mid game item overall! Not too expensive.

Next item is Rabadon's Deathcap. This will make you hurt like a truck. You're spell vamp will greatly improve, and you're role as a AP middle will be boosted by a ton. Nothing else to say here.

You're next item is Abyssal Mask. This will make you durable against AP nukers, which role will turn into just killing you're straight away, and will make you're enemies even squishier!

You're Final item, is a Lich Bane. The movement speed, and the ability power auto attack with you're Mace of Spades, makes it a must buy on Mordekaiser! It makes him just become the best Raw damage AP carry there is.

Early on you don't want to be too aggressive. Try to Siphon of Destruction the enemy champion as many times as you can without pushing the lane, as the shield gain is 2x when you hit a champion. When you hit 6-7, you want to go in for a kill. Get them low, and usually they will back off, making you unable to Flash Siphon of Destruction into Ignite and finally Children of the Grave However, if you pretend you left the lane, and go in a brush, and Flash onto them, it really catches people off guard.

You want to sightward you're wraiths if you're jungler is getting counter jungled, or the enemy wraiths if you are having a edge in map control. It gives Mordekaiser the ability to just out farm and out level the lane, making him snowball even without scoring any kills!

Remember, you aren't the tank. Don't go in front and get stunned. You will just blow up.

Whenever you do get ganked, remember to use spells during when you're running. The extra shield might just save you!

Why no tank items or cool down items like randuins? You will blow up without them!

Actually, you're better off just building pure AP, as you're role is AP carry, not bruiser in this guide. The more AP Mordekaiser has, the stronger his shield has. So the more AP items you build, the tankier Mordekaiser gets. I buy Elixir of Brilliance if I have extra gold, or snow balling. The AP you get from it is great, and the cooldowns even better! You also should get blue buff regardless if you have no mana. CDR are great on AP nukers such as Mordekaiser.

Why no Hextech Gunblade? The slow is so good on him!


Hextech Gunblade is simply too expensive, the AD and life steal you get from it doesn't really benefit Mordekaiser that well. Although sometimes I build it if my team is stomping, I wouldn't get it. The slow is good and all, but you lack damage due to it's expensive costs.

Should I start with anything besides Boots 3 Health Potion?

Really, I don't think so. Boots is a core item for anyone, and it's great for just about anything! The 3 Health Potions also helps Mordekaiser farm up to that 1200 gold mark to get his Hextech Revolver before backing.

Should I use different runes ever?

The only thing I would recommend you can switch is the AP blues, if you're a bit afraid of hard to deal with champions for Mordekaiser like Anivia, Brand, and Cassiopeia. The armor seals and everything else I wouldn't change though, the armor is just so good for those early jungle auto attack ganks and for tanking towers!

Why should I use smart cast on Mordekaiser?

It makes it so you can nuke someone faster. Mordekaiser is similar to Annie, as in she can cast all her spells at once if you do it fast enough. Pretty much put you're mouse over a target and smash the keyboard in and you win! Hue Hue
