Introduction
Pros
Cons
-
His ultimate is great for teamfights
Very mobile with his E
Q has short cd and does on-hit
Windowall blocks projectiles including ranged Autos
Has doubled crit chance so having 50 percent from items would result in 100%
Q cooldown scales off attack speed which is convenient
Cons
-
Is rather squishy
Relies on outer source for knock-up most of the time
People will get mad if you don't Windwall certain skills
Generally you would want to max Q first as it is your primary damage skill. Following Q you would max your E and and W last. Of course you want to level your ult whenever possible. The only thing to note is that sometimes you can hold off on leveling your Windwall(W) if it's unnecessary such as if you're playing against a champ like fizz. Instead of leveling it at 3 you might want to level it at 5(in preparation for his shark when he hits 6). Level Windwall according to match-up or enemy jungler as you might want it to block a ranged core skill.
Generally you want to start off with Doran's Blade , a pot, and a trinket. There might be cases where you may start Doran's Shield if necessary. Next you want to rush a statikk shiv for the crit and attack speed and also the passive. Buying two wards on your back is for putting a ward on each side of the river so you can see ganks coming from both sides. Next you want to get your boots which usually Berserker Greaves are fine, but Merc Treads are good if enemy has a ton of CC. Next it's recommended to get a lifesteal item such as Botrk or Hydra. My personal preference is Hydra since it compliments statikk shiv's waveclear and grants decent AD/LF. The active is also nice damage and to me having more raw damage is better than getting a botrk. After that get your next core item, Infinity Edge, which will almost guarantee a crit with each Q/auto. Last Whisper is always a nice item to have since it grants armor pen and some AD and since yasuo's ult already grants Yasuo 50 percent armor pen, adding last whisper just leads to more devastation. Finally you want to top it off with a defensive item of some sort unless you intend to have even more dmg. At that point it's really up to your own personal preference and playstyle.
As Yasuo, farming shouldn't be too difficult since you have a Q and E with short cooldowns that deal decent damage. Stack your Qs up and try to intimidate the enemy with your tornado up. The enemy usually won't try to get too close when your tornado's up so it'll give you a little breathing room. Q the enemy in the face whenever possible while still farming. When you have your third stack of Q up, it's sometimes better to use your E Q rather than just Qing since it's easier to land the knock-up with your E Q.
