5.13 = Birth of the Sated Devourer
Hello Mobafire! I'm Leapfrow (EUW), an expert gamer who has been playing since Braum was released (May-July 2014). As such, I have been playing League of Legends for more than 1 season. When I was around level 15, I came across Master Yi, a really easy champion who isn't that much of a high risk - high reward champion who, with the right items, can dive into a teamfight destroying the enemy carries, shredding the tanks, and leaving out taking little to no damage. I've been playing loads games with Master Yi, and have experimented different builds which are very sucsessful. Master Yi hasn't been picked alot, and most powerful/mobile junglers arent that viable with Sated Devourer ( Lee Sin, Jarvan IV, Vi) and that means champions like Master Yi can have their spotlight.
I like Master Yi's kit because it doesnt show 4 moves with different purposes, but it shows 4 moves enchanting one thing = Auto Attacks. His Q allows him to dive in a fight without getting damaged and still does a lot of damage, his W allows him to heal up in the middle or after a fight, his E makes him do true damage on his auto attacks, and finally, his R, gives him speed and attack speed to make his attacks much faster. Well, lets go into the guide!
Pros
|
+Great Damage Output +Crits can half health the enemy +Invulnerability with Q +Very easy to play |
Master Yi is an AMAZING pick when you need a good AD snowballing champion. He has great damage output, and his cooldowns are very short due to his resetting abilities. He can easily burst people with his huge attack speed and critical strike, and, coupled with lifesteal, is literally uncatchable, unkillable, and just simply the fact that you cannot outrun him WHATSOEVER! his dueling ability is amazing, and he has great sustain. Although he has a pretty bad early game, it definitely makes up for a somewhat HUGE spike he gets at level 7. He also can dodge a lot of executes with his Q, and can even gapclose the enemy just as they dash away, so he really is a devil. |
Cons
|
+ Vunerable to CC + Very squishy + Can die very easily if you engage first + Very bad early game |
Yi is VERY VULNERABLE, AND I MEAN VERY VULNERABLE, TO CC! If he gets stunned once, he will get focused very easily and die. He also has an bad early game, so junglers like Xin Zhao, Pantheon, Lee Sin, and Elise can kill his buffs and duel Yi very easily. Also, if he is blinded by Teemo's Blinding Dart or Quinn's Blinding Assault, his auto attacks (his main source of damage) will do absolutely no damage to the enemy and he will most likely lose the trade. Jax's Counter Strike also has the same effect, and it even has a stun. |
