[b]CHEAT SHEET[/b] ----------------------- + I won't claim to know Jayce, but just looking at your runes, I'm wondering if he's going to be too squishy top lane. + I don't think the notes for your item POs are very good. + I'm not sure why you'd ever get IE on Jayce. The rest of your build does not give you crit chance, so IE's passive is only useful for every 4th hit. If you're after crits, go SotD - this with Jayce's W would be lulsy. + So per above comment, so why then the 1x crit chance mark? + No Trinkets? + Why display Hexdrinker instead of Maw? + I don't feel your 2nd example build is beefier - wouldn't you say BT would give you better defensive stats than Cleaver? Without any life steal in the second build, you're relying on... what exactly to keep you sustained? An ally? + Initially I would have thought the 10 extra magic resist and armour from a point in your ult would be worth it, but I guess only if you're being super harassed. I think I've been finding your guide hard to read due to the wikicoding not being yellow. When something's yellow, I know it's a link and I don't have to read it. With your guide I'm working overtime, having to read everything. [b]READABILITY (1.5/3)[/b] ---------------------- + As above, I found your guide hard. That and Nick's template; am I supposed to read the left column first? or the right? or at the same time? isn't it a little repetitive in some respects? what if I didn't read the left column - I'd be missing out on stuff, and yet some of the stuff in the left column is in the right column? I believe you're wasting a lot of space on the left for the sake of a template that doesn't really ADD anything to your guide. As a result of the template all your graphics are tiny, begging the question, what's the point? Due to the compressed nature of your guide, I actually think there is LESS content than other guides - I could be wrong, but it's really hard to tell. Thinking past those things, I didn't mind reading through your guide as you had a "professor" sort of writing style and I liked your wide vocabulary. I felt at times you may have used a thesaurus a bit too much though. There were minimal typos/spelling mistakes, which is great. I guess in the end this particular score reflects my opinion on how [b]I[/b] felt about the readability, and not how I think others would feel upon reading - hence the score. Also, "click to enlarge" annoys me. What's the point of having an image that the reader has to click to see? [b]CONTENT (2.5/3)[/b] ----------------------- + Content-wise I feel you've covered a wide range of top-lane/fighter-bruiser related aspects of the game. Obviously I don't play Jayce, but I was surprised with the lack of commentary regarding freezing the lane - is this not something you do with Jayce? You don't really talk about alternative runes or masteries, which would be good. I don't really have much to complain about here; everything you want in a guide is here. Just some sections are really dry. [b]VIABILITY 3/4[/b] ------------------------ + Personally I don't know if I can call this viable or not, as I'm not a Jayce player. I don't really feel comfortable giving this a viability score, but I'll trust my "theory crafting" instincts. You've chosen to depict a sort of squishy assasin/marksman Jayce, and I assume you've had success with it, otherwise you wouldn't be writing a guide about it. All of your explanations make sense, but I'm still not convinced about the IE; perhaps your item section needs more work. [b]TOTAL = 7/10[/b] ------------------------ + This score can definitely be higher. In the end, my personal opinion regarding readability really dragged down your score. Others may have rated you higher with your visuals and formatting, but it's not to MY taste. Your content and viability were fine (though let's not really talk about viability, seeing as I'm a terrible Jayce). If a reader manages to get through the entire guide, I do think they'd learn things. But to be honest, as soon as the coding died down (Skilling), I found it REALLY hard to pay attention to the guide. But you know me, I'm against walls of text (even if they are skinny walls of text) ^^ I think you may need more subheadings, especially in the Laning section.
