I laugh at enemy Alistar supports with Thresh. He can't do anything about ranged supports, despite what people may believe.
"Lol Alistar counters Thresh/ Blitzcrank because if he grabs him-" stop that. It's a lie, and no self-righteous Thresh or Blitzcrank player would ever attempt to hook an Alistar. They simply have better kits and more utility at their disposal.

But that's just how I look at it. XD

While skills / brains can counter Blitz's kit, you can't do anything about an Alistar combo. :P Either you get hit by it or you're zoned. It's that simple.

Provided he can get in range to do it. It's one of those "You need to be really ****ing good" to do type things. Alistar's kit is too unforgiving to the average player.

True, true. I very rarely manage to get his combo right, haha. S'why I don't play him. :P

Edit: Jay, I think the mana cost on his E got nerfed so he couldn't sustain himself in the jungle so well anymore, and that's why people stopped playing jungle Alistar.

That's why i don't play him. I could have a similar or higher level of CC for 25% of the effort with Thresh or Zyra. :p

they nerfed alistar's passive among other things so his sustain and clear time started BOTH sucking, but the passive nerf hurt the most. (that and the fact that aoe isnt as good in new jungle)

alistar is still a strong support pick, a lot of people were just turned away by all the nerfs he received.

Game 18, February 21st

Bans: Kha'Zix, Amumu, Vi, Blitzcrank, Malphite, Lulu
The champ select borked so, those are just all the bans. I couldn't get specific teams' bans.

Another good champ select where everyone gets the role they wanted. Our first pick was ADC and we quickly snatched Cait/Nunu for the strong lane presence. Unfortunately, Draven/Janna did it better because Draven started with boots to get out of Cait's range before she could react. Cait started D.Blade so, no potions to heal off the bleed damage either. I went for a fast Emblem of valor to at least mitigate it. Noct camped bot5 every time his ult was up and after the second kill, we managed to take their tower down and go for a dragon. It was all uphill from there. Draven tried a couple steals on Dragon, but never got them and, Noct just jumped on the most important target every time. I picked Swain for our second pick, who traded Nunu with me, and he absolutely stomped all over Morde mid. Kennen did fine top as well so Noct could focus on bot. Overall, we had a good team who communicated well. Gold seems so close, I can almost taste it. Even if I'm 2 divisions away.

You are close! keep going.

And yea Draven's mean to Caitlyn despite the range advantage. He simply outdamages her, and he's scary. At a certain point though, Cait/Nunu becomes stupid and just shoves into all your turrets uncontrollably. :p

Game 19, February 25th

Bans: Blitzcrank, Caitlyn, Elise / Amumu, Malphite, Shen

Champion select where there was very little talking. I asked if anyone wanted support, and almost locked in Taric when nobody spoke up. Switched to Graves last second on a whim and our last pick hunkered down for Thresh support. They first picked Kass and their Ashe was DC-ed for about 5 minutes, so I got some good freefarm early on. Their Nunu was terrible and ulted me under tower. I just smokescreened so he couldn't see me leave and he died to the tower shots. Their entire team was mad about whatever they could grasp at. It ended with a 3/0 surrender because Ashe left and, I assume Nunu was AFK too. Can't wait to get up into gold at this rate. <_<

:/ Hope you don't get slotted into a team like the one you just stomped. Easy win when you're against one, easy loss when you are part of one. 50LP to go, you can do it! ^^
