Due to the fact that health helps you stay alive from her, building [[Rylai's Crystal Scepter]] or [[Rod of Ages]] is extremely beneficial to you. Obviously magic resist counters her. If you can live through her burst, she is in dead water. If she is raping you like a professional child molester, then build [[Force of Nature]] to get that magic resist and for that health regeneration to keep you in lane. Grabbing an early [[Hextech Revolver]] will be helpful to keep you in lane more, but eventually you will have to recall. If you are in ranked and are going against an [[Annie]], take [[Teleport]] and [[Flash]]. [[Teleport]] so you can stay in lane more and recall to get items and then pop back up in lane to rape her and/or farm. [[Flash]] for the utility it brings. Due to the fact that you can blink over walls, it will help you escape [[Summon: Tibbers]] and [[Disintegrate]]'s burst. How to play her: I recommend you max [[Disintegrate]] first because it lowers the cooldown and will keep you in lane. I also recommend that you max that first because it teaches you to last hit and to learn how to farm. Like [[Kennen]], [[Annie]] is one of those champs that you can farm with a breeze. If you are sucking really bad, stack some [[Doran's Ring]]s so you can keep in lane, and benefit from the health it gives. After you max [[Disintegrate]], max [[Incinerate]] next so you can farm with that. Make sure to take an early point in [[Molten Shield]] so you can survive some of the ganks that they throw at you. When playing as [[Annie]], try to last hit minions with [[Disintegrate]] so you can keep at full mana and still charge up [[Pyromania]]. After [[Pyromania]] is charged, hit your enemy with a [[Disintegrate]] and an [[Incinerate]] then back off to avoid any damage. You will be dishing out a lot of damage with that harass combo, so keep it up to force them to recall. If they are building magic resist, which I am sure they will, make sure to take a mid-late game [[Void Staff]] so you can rip through them like they had no magic resist. About support [[Annie]]: Since you bring in multiple stuns, it is fairly viable for your team, but I do not recommend it for ranked games. Build up gold per 10 items and then build up reverie so you can help your team. Make sure to grab aura items to help your team. Building [[Abyssal Scepter]] will benefit your AP carry a lot, especially if your enemies are building up magic resist. [[Will of the Ancients]] will benefit them as well, especially if you and your teammates are having trouble surviving team fights. Since it gives you bonus AP, it will help you as well. Since you bring in multiple stuns, it is really helpful to support someone in bottom lane. For example, if you are laning with [[Caitlyn]] lets say that. You charge up [[Pyromania]] so you can stun your enemy. If your enemy is stupid enough to facecheck, then punish them for that by stunning them with [[Summon: Tibbers]], but make sure to have your AD carry get the kill because it is more viable for them to get the kill then for you to get it. When you are supporting her, make sure to buy those aura items. If your team is still struggling to survive in team fights, take a [[Aegis of the Legion]] so you guys can survive and win the game.
