Tips on Ryze vs Xerath

It got to the point where Xerath would full health me, and i wouldn't even see where he was. Any advice? Imporant things to note: I have MS quints, MPen reds, mana regen/lv seals and flat AP glyphs I had a jungle jax that never ganked Xerath had a Jungle maokai that never ganked.[/quote]
