Update! New Champion Pages! New QA Section! More!

We're really happy with this one :) This update comes with one major facelift, one entirely new section, a little icing and some sprinkles. [h1]New Champion Pages![/h1] If you head on over to the database section and click through to [url=/league-of-legends/champion/zed-107]any[/url] [url=/league-of-legends/champion/elise-106]champion[/url] [url=/league-of-legends/champion/khazix-105]page[/url], you will see things are looking very, very different! The basic champion info is still there in a header at the top, with shortcuts to the champion's abilities and a stats overview. Below that you will find a nice new set of tabs leading to all kinds of delicious content, and in the sidebar on the right, an interesting new box. Let's start with the box! This will be showing some live information provided directly from Elobuff's database, injected directly into our own champion database. We will be adding some more features to this, but for starters it is showing an up to date selection of the best and worst opponents for each champion, culled from live stats! We hope you guys find this handy :) As for the new tabs! The default tab is of course guides. This isn't the old guide listing though. We took all the features from the browse page and crammed them into the champion page. All the details you are familiar with are displayed here, the same sorting options, and if you click the "+ Show Filters" button you will get the full set of browse filters! That's a lot of power for one little tab :) The champion lore and spotlight videos have been shifted to the "More Info" tab, where we will be adding other wiki/database style information about the champions in the future. The discussion also has its own separate tab now, much less scrolling involved. You will also see two brand new tabs. The first is a Videos tab! With our new MOBAFire TV section, we have been (and will be!) seeing a LOT more action in the video section, and we decided it was time to pull all these great videos into the champion pages, making them that much easier to find. Got a champion video you'd like to share? Now is a great time to [url=/edit/video]go and post it[/url], and get some exposure for your work! And finally is the new Questions tab! Which leads me to the brand new feature we've added with this update... [h1]Questions and Answers![/h1] [url=/league-of-legends/questions]Questions and Answers[/url] is a brand new feature for MOBAFire, which provides an organized, browsable way to ask questions, and to contribute answers to help out your fellow Summoners! Hit one of the "[url=/edit/question]Ask a Question[/url]" buttons scattered around the site and fill out the form. Your question will be posted in this new section where others can read, comment, post answers, and vote up the most useful and interesting questions. You can also vote up other people's answers, and the best answers will float up to the top. Not only is it a great way to contribute to the community but, it will also earn you some major rep if you provide the best answers :) Also don't be afraid to post a question that you already know the answer to! Chances are someone else will come along with the same question, and there may already be an answer awaiting them :) You can also tag your questions with items and champions. If you tag your question with a champion, it will show up on the new "Questions" tab on the champion database pages! It's a great way to build up an "FAQ" for players that may be new to the game, or to that champion. [h1]Picks and Bans, Scorecard BBCode[/h1] Some of you may have noticed the two new icons at the right of the BBCode editor. These pop up forms that you can fill out, that will insert some very nice match picks and bans, and scorecard layouts. While this will especially be useful to our esports writers, we encourage everyone to make use of them! Give it a try, they are rather pretty ;) [h1]I was promised sprinkles.[/h1] You shall receive. The last time I gave you guys a "patch notes" was about a month ago so, seems like a good time for another one! *shake shake* [list] [*] Launched the new [url=/league-of-legends/videos]MOBAFire TV[/url] section and the [url=/submit-replay/step-1]replay submission[/url] feature, including some awesome prizes if we use your replay in a video! [*] Launched a brand new [url=/league-of-legends/browse]browse guides[/url] page with new filters, improved sorting with tabs, core item display and additional style points. [*] Reworked various parts of the menu in an attempt to crowbar in all the new features. [*] Souped up the homepage discussion box with smooth inline page scrolling. [*] Some pretty massive and time-consuming back-end changes that I won't get into, but just imagine them, all awesome. [*] We launched, and completed, a giveaway contest for an [url=/contests/origin-pc-giveaway]Origin PC[/url] - grats to the winner, enjoy your kickass new rig! [*] Added all the necessary functionality to allow on-site creation of new champions, items and other database information, as well as on-site graphics updates. [*] Added a new Referee rank and forum to help manage our in-house matches. [*] Added "this item builds into" information on item database pages. [*] Updated many sections with the new theme. [*] Override for esports articles to embed streams and videos in the article header. [*] Fix "cheat sheets" not working when viewing guide revision. [*] Added "Favorite Threads" to profile pages. [*] Add Elo verified emblem in guide comments. [*] Add recipe display on item database pages, and added it back in tooltip (got lost somehow). [*] Added a "My Threads" tab to profile pages. [*] Fixed an issue with own3d thumbs not working. [*] Various wiki fixes, broken report link, unable to delete articles, issue with long article names breaking.
