Not dinner, lunch...but same difference.
I made Chicken Ramen with fresh ginger/garlic and an egg in it.
wish there were some fresh veggies to add to it
Q.Q
I'd take a pic, but it's just Ramen...

More ramen xD I have a habit of eating this a lot. Don't judge me.
directions so you too can make junk food that tastes delicious.
ingredients:
1 package of Maruchan Instant Noodles (I usually use Chicken flavored, but any flavor will do)
1.5-2.5 cups of water (if I add soy sauce I tend to use slightly more than the package says)
1 egg, beaten with a fork
1 large garlic clove, crushed (just remove the skin, no need to mince it or anything)
a piece of fresh ginger (a disk around 1 inch across or so), cut into 2-3 pieces (if you don't happen to have fresh ginger lying around omit it, it will still taste yummy)
OPTIONAL:
Soy sauce, 1 teaspoon or so
toasted sesame oil
fresh vegetables of some sort, broccoli and snap peas work quite well
Directions:
1. Put 1.5-2.5 cups of water and just enough soy sauce (if using) to slightly color the water in a pan with the garlic and ginger.
2. Heat on high until just boiling, turn the heat down to low, and let it simmer for a bit.
3. Remove garlic and ginger if desired, turn the heat up to medium or so, and add the noodles (be sure to remove the seasoning packet first 8D). Add a small drizzle of sesame oil (if using) and cook for three minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Add the egg during the last 40 seconds of cooking (stir carefully to break the egg up, if desired). If you prefer you can slightly poach the egg and add it during the last 20-30 seconds (depending on your preference) instead.
5. Add the seasoning packet and any fresh, fast-cooking vegetables you like (this will steam them slightly).
6. Enjoy ^^

Pasta and pesto.
1. Boil water and cook any selected pasta (I used regular twisted ones or macaroni, pretty much the same).
2. Fry some finely chopped garlics and for a twist of flavour, add a splash of vinegar (either balsamic or white whine vinegar will do nicely).
3. Remove water and mix in pre-made pesto sauce (or your own made one if you took the effort to do it) and the garlic.
4. Can garnish with grated Parmesan cheese. Mix thoroughly and serve.
