Kayle has way too much versatility to her (not that it's a bad thing). She can do in some mids because of her early damage, does well against many tops due to her skillset, and fairly decent botlane. I dislike doing full AD because if I get stunned for like a second I'm dead, no time to consider my ulti. I always build her as an hybrid dps because her on-hit ness is very hot.
Examples:
Berserker boots
Guinsoo's Rageblade (Try getting the Pickaxe first)
Frozen Mallet/
Trinity Force (first makes you an aggressive chaser and gives more survivability, second brings more damage)
Madred's Bloodrazor/
Wit's End (first if they have more than one tanky champion, second if they don't and have decent AP casters)
Hextech Gunblade/ Zeke's Herald (both for recovering HP, Zeke's interacts better with Kayle tho)
Black Cleaver/
Infinity Edge
Banshee's Veil/
Guardian Angel/
Quicksilver Sash (survivability items)
A Kayle focused on auto-attacks should also go for nice attack speed since it kicks your passive faster, meaning you deal more damage/second while shredding your opponent's defenses.

Something else you should try on her?
Tiamat Dead serious.
I was playing the infamous PokèLoL the other day. I ended up with
Mobility Boots,
Guinsoo's Rageblade,
Tiamat, and
Bilgewater Cutlass.
It was great.

One of the easiest builds to get fully built and to use is the "on-hit" build.
Berserker's Greaves
Malady
Wit's End
Madred's Bloodrazor
Black Cleaver
Infinity Edge
It's really easy to build as the base build can be built in small steps and you can gradually build it on every back. Plus you just right click to win. Level up your
Righteous Fury first and then kill everything. This also gives you a great advantage early game and in most low level games early game is everything lol.

I hate the idea of Malady on Kayle, I gotta try someday. I just feel like Guinsoo's does it better.
Let me clear this up. guinsoo's is a better item. Malady is an easier item to build. All of it's components cost around 500 gold so you can build it every time you go B. This means it gets built faster giving you a stronger early game than a half built guinsoo's would. Plus 50% AS at all times is a huge boost to her
Malady gives you a great early game and makes it easier to get to a wit's end because it costs so little. guinsoo's gives you a better mid game, but is useless until then since it is harder to build. Look at what each builds out of. I think you'll get what I mean by malady being easier to build.
Just allow me:
You level Q first, in any lane. E is more of her utility spell, which is nice to have but barely worth to level.
Madred's Bloodrazor,
Malady and
Guinsoo's Rageblade are god awful items that no one should ever buy.

I don't really know why you'd bother building hybrid on-hit when AD pretty much does the same thing except better.
You can say what you want. It doesn't change the fact that it works lol. I'd say it's even more effective at getting you ahead than a straight up AD build. In my experience at least it definitely is. I played this build against an AD kayle and wrecked her. I've also played both builds and I do better with the on hit. So go on pretending it's a bad build. It doesn't matter to me one bit.
