Looks good. You mentioned a bit about needing sticking power, which is very true. I'd personally get just one more CDR item, so I'd suggest Iceborn Gauntlet, as it fits both criteria. With SV, IBG and blue pot you have 40% CDR and pillar has a 1 second downtime. You can really do annoying things in teamfights.
I don't think you can get away with building both blade and hydra. I'd just stick with blade and settle for slower waveclear. I would think trinity force would be better than hydra anyway if you wanted more damage.
Also not a huge fan of the long sword start but it's okay. I'd start doran's shield unless im planning on stomping some melee champion in early trades.

Thanks to The_Nameless_Bard for the sig!

I feel Trundle is a fairly under-rated champion in general. Whenever I play him top, people seem to under-estimate his power to dual AD champs with his ultimate and Q. That being said, he is by no means a strong champ, he is fairly low-mid tier for a reason, as he has many short-comings.
Anyway, I would like advice on my top-lane Trundle build that I usually run, as I am just about level 30, and haven't started ranked yet so I know I have a lot to learn and my build probably could use improvement:
STARTING ITEMS
Long Sword + Health Potion x3
This is my standard start when I feel safe or evenly matched in lane.
Doran's Shield + Health Potion
This is when I play against a champion that has a stronger early game than me.
GENERAL BUILD
Blade of the Ruined King
Usually rush this since it is such an effective item on Trundle in my opinion. With the AD boost from your W and from the Bork, you can take a tower in one attempt with a full creep wave. I feel life steal is a really worthy investment on Trundle since you have a lot of health regen in general from your passive and it is all boosted in your W.
Ravenous Hydra
Pretty much the best item for AD auto-attacking champs, and again it has life steal. The AoE damage gives you an actual presence in team fights, and if you are fighting an enemy in their minion wave it allows you to kill the minion wave which lets you heal with your passive giving you the edge in a pinch.
Spirit Visage
Gives magic resist, health and boosts your healing even more with your W. Lets you become a tank.
Randuin's Omen
Armour and health. Standard for a top-lane bruiser champ. Can be switched out for an early Sunfire Aegis if you are getting fed.
BOOTS
Can pick Mercury's Treads and Ninja Tabi according to situation. Sometimes I find the opportunity to get Boots of Swiftness.
LAST SLOT
If I find that the game hasn't ended yet and I have time to fill my last slot then I try to adjust to the situation; another MR item, another armour item, Frozen Mallet for more general health and reliable chase (something Trundle lacks), Guardian Angel if relevant, Bloodthirster or Trinity Force if I want more damage. I tend to go for Frozen Mallet since it makes me tanky and gives damage, whereas pure damage I leave for the carry and I focus on tanking unless I urgently need extra armour of MR.
BUILD ORDER
I don't really have a set build order, but I like to rush Blade of the Ruined King. In general if things are going well I like to build 2 damage items + boots, and then get some health.
SKILL ORDER
R>Q>W>E is the general pattern I follow, as maxing Q can get it on a ridiculously low cooldown which lets you dual really well. Maxing W second boosts the healing and attack speed you get from it. 1 point in E suffices until late game since it is mostly utility. Usually get Q level 1, although getting E level can screw with the enemy jungle.
That's my build in general. If there things people want me to clarify, or if there is any criticism or advice people want to give please comment! I would really like some feedback to improve my build!
Thanks ^^
