I have ran 
Cho'Gath pretty succesfully in jungle mostly (12-4). Works top also, but some match-ups are just too frigthening. Build front line and soak all the damage or build to kill someone with 1 combo.
Wouldn't build Wit's End, Twin Shadows or Trinity Force.
Something like this would work the best: Mercury's Treads Frozen Heart Spirit Visage Randuin's Omen Thornmail Sunfire Aegis.
Not any any specific order, but FH + SV rush makes Cho'Gath pretty unkillable already.

I'm just imagining the build from the normal game screenshot he has up on Udyr with a spirit Visage instead of Twin Shadows and I'm imagining everything going far, FAR better.
Just... build AP Cho. You don't have a whole lot of damage to proc trinity, since you're not at 40% CDR, and even if you were, I think your cooldowns are too long to really make use of it.
Wits end is fine, sure, but that's the only real attack speed item you need on him. And that's only if you're going for a tanky build instead of straight AP.

BTW:0 deaths is not the only thing of this game. None of the top lane turrets did brake, I was the first one to destroy the enemy top inhibitor and I killed the enemy ADC first in nearly every teamfight. The powerspike I had while having

I'm just gonna single this part out since this seems to be a point on both yours and Nick's argument.
Udyr doesn't get free health!
That just means %Max HP doesn't hurt him as much, oh well. And Udyr has a spammable shield to make up for it.
The damage though!
Phoenix Stance Udyr will probably outclass the damage while it being AoE... unless Cho is building AP, which this build isn't.
The only thing that Udyr doesn't have is AoE CC like
Rupture or Feral Scream, but he gets close to that with a round of Blazing Stampedes to the mouth.Just food for thought.
