Well, as I play League of Legends, I suddenly found myself becoming quite bored playing my typical and best role: Jungler. I also play Solo Top and Mid as secondary choices. But even playing those roles leaves me unfulfilled. I started Jungling with champions I don't usually use, like Lee Sin, Hecarim,

As it is I've started picking up on a lot of ways to improve looking over my replays
I managed to get back to 1600 elo again there but have dipped a bit again

So I've been looking through all these guides and most of their names contain stuff like "Competitive s3 guide" or "ranked s3 guide" or "competitive ranked guide" or something of the sort.

Then I started to wonder. What was the definition of a ranked guide or a competitive guide?

I always used to think a ranked guide was a guide written by an upper-level player and a competitive guide described the many competitive playstyles of a champion.

Should a so-called ranked guide be a guide written by some 1.3k elo player?

Should a competitive guide be written by someone who doesn't attempt to explain or even put in tournament playstyles / builds in their guide?

Kinda confused here :/

I personally feel that 1.5k elo is a benchmark where people actually don't have misconceptions towards the game and that players below it shouldn't be writing these so-called competitive guides or ranked guides because all I see are people claiming to be knowledgeable and able to play at high elos when they…

Got denied my first Penta Kill twice in 1 game. First time Shen escapes on purpose just so I won't get the Penta. Second one MF tried to give it to me by rushing me (cause I was fed and it was obvious I'd kill her) but she didn't make it in time and it was unofficial.

2 denies..no comment on this ****..this proves how cursed I am at never making a Penta.

After reading lots of guides here in the last weeks I decided to join MOBAfire, too. I don't know what my summoners way is going to be like. Will I ever write a guide of my own? Will I be able to find my most favourite champion ever... and will be able to play it godlike? ;)

I have always used Armor penetration while a lot of other people use flat attack damage runes.

I have actually no idea which one is better by statistics, so lets calculate!

Data lvl 1
Average amount of base AD for an AD carry at lvl 1 = 55
Amount of AD gain from masteries: 3 + 0,58/level = 3,58 AD at lvl 1
AD runes grant: 0,95 AD each mark and 2,25 each quint
Armor penetration runes grant: 1,28 ArP each mark and 2,56 ArP per quint

The minimum AD at the start will be 55 + 3,58 = 58,58 AD


Comparison lvl 1
Full flat AD
The one with full attack damage marks has the following amount of attack damage at the start:
58,58 + 0,95*9 + 2,25*3 = 73,88 = 74 attack damage.

Let's say the enemy has an average of 19 armor, 19 armor blocks 16% of the physical damage income.
Though, we have masteries, that also ignore 6 + 8% of the armor.
So 19 * (1-0,08) = 19 * 0,92 = 17,48
17,48 - 6 = 11,48
11,48 armor blocks 10% of the damage income

So each attack you will do 74 * 0,897 = 66,4 = 66 damage at lv…

So I have played a lot of games. Almost over a thousand to be exact. Lately i have been wondering what does it mean to be a free week champion player. Well let me explain what it means, it means you're trying out the champion and learning whether or not you want to buy and possibly play that champion in future games, but you have on bad game and you immediately don't like the champion. So what's the solution to this problem you say. How about we start by going back to the beginning of the game shall we?

O.k. so it's the beginning of the game and you're about to buy, but lets not do that instead ask your team mates what you should buy and how to play that champion. I've had so many successful games being taught how to play a champion because i ask. Not to mention I have had many games where i help a free week champion player out. Even if it end up being their 4th or 5th game as that free week champion or they happen to own it try as hard as you can to be positive to turn the game aroun…

So recently I was reading the recent posts and I came upon something on Vapora about him wanting to make a new guide. I wrote all the replies and saw someone tell him he couldn't do a guide better than his own, since he had tons of experience with that champ.

Curious, I visited the guide. It was ok, had some mistakes which seemed pretty obvious. I commented about those mistakes and something else.

So after the drama on that thread I get some message from said person claiming I downvoted a random guide, even after me saying I cba about that person's guides or guides for that champ for that matter since all I need is his build and I got that from Solomid already.

Then I finish my Syndra guide, and see that all my guides were downvoted. And 2 messages on my inbox (one was from Mowen saying I forgots some stuff :3 )

It is I, Willstar07! typing this up and watching live stream pownadge, (That IS how you spell it right?) Anyway, i'm level 28, only 1 or 2 games from level 29, and plan on grinding to level 30 this weekend so I can start playing ranked games, hopefully the network (which has improved!) will let me stream it all, and it's all starting tomorrow (Friday January 25th) at 3:00pm! (PST)

Now is it just me, or is Thresh awesome! Unforunatly don't have the IP to buy him yet, so expensive, and I have other support champions to buy! But I've seen some of his play, and I look forward to Thresh support!

Still working on the accidentally published Lulu guide, I look forward to the final release!
