Champion Concepts: Mallik, Fury of the Earth

Hey guys! Haven't done one of these in awhile. I've mostly just been playing on my smurf account (Ezreal only) and I had the idea for a new ADC archetype that hasn't been explored. Statistically, all AD carries either rely on massive range or mobility to keep them safe and dealing consistent damage. I wanted to toy with the concept of a "Tank ADC". What I ended up with was Mallik. Unique to the role of AD carries, he is actually a mage (thematically, he still functions as an ADC or even a fighter. More specifically, a geomancer. He attacks by throwing shards of stone and defends himself with the armor of earth and sand. Rather than being quick on his feet or having oppressive range, Mallik prefers to deal with his problems head on, outright ignoring damage or CC at the expense of range. He's got a few tricks up his sleeves to slice up melee attackers with ease, but is notably poor when it comes to dealing with other mages.

EUNE Shenanigans. EUW > EUNE?

Hi friends.

Been smurfing on EUNE for sometime now on my last season diamond account. The account got placed in gold 1 somehow and I've basically begun playing from there and I'm platinum IV atm. Here are the games so far.

So far I've noticed really strange bans in EUNE. The bans often look like: Viktor,

Quitting League

Of late, I haven't really been around in the community, not even inhouses. Since the last set of major changes to how guide visibility works, I also had less incentive to write stuff.

Now, the most major part is that I'm quitting League. I'm not sure how much I can stay around for, since I won't be playing the game any more. The reason is because I'm simply no longer in Europe, lol. I came to Hong Kong yesterday and I have made plans to be in Asia for many years to come in a professional capacity. Though I do have the desire to continue playing, I have no desire to create smurf accounts and start again from the very beginning (plus, there are a plethora of other things I want to do whilst I'm here). So I made the decision to quit the game for as long as I am out of the country.

Though I suspect I will still be keeping up with the competitive scene to an extent, I will no longer be able to play with the community and that saddens me a little. MOBAFire Inhouses were always pleasant to …

How to not fall behind in levels as a jungler

Hello friends, another strategy blog.

Have you ever wondered how the enemy jungler gets ahead in levels even though you are basically doing the same thing as he is? (Ganking... farming... doing objectives...)

As a jungler it's not too unusual to fall behind the enemy laners in levels during the early game but you should be able to keep up around the same level in mid game and forward. You are doing something wrong if you fall 2-3 levels behind of average levels of mid/top laner or enemy jungler unless they are stomping the game.

The top 3 reasons why you may fall behind are: Bad jungle rotations/efficiency, time wasting and not understandidng your champion and your job with that certain champion. I'll just focus on jungle rotations this blog.

Let's start.

Jungle rotatios are the main reasons how level and exp lead is attained. Basically what this means is finding the most efficient jungling route while minimizing the time loss between camps. Being efficient in jungle rotations wi…

How to deal with top laner starting with a jungle camp

Soup.

This is pretty common these days and I see very few people dealing with this "properly". Shoving the lane is probably the worst option. Freezing the lane is not too bad but you can do it more efficiently.

The "proper" or ideal way to deal with this in my opinion is manipulating the wave so the enemy minions start to shove towards your lane. This way you deny xp and gold the most efficiently. Normally by freezing the lane, enemy top laner loses 2-3 creeps but by manipulating the wave, the enemy top laner can even lose the whole minion wave.

This is how it's done

You just simply go on the brush where the minions come from (depends on which side you are). When the minion wave is coming at you, you simply take aggro by stepping out of the brush so minions start to focus you, after they're grouped a little, you walk back to the brush and let the minion waves meet.

Pokemon FireRed adventures n' stuff

Hey friends.

I was bored one day and I saw someone talking about Pokemon. I thought to myself: "Hey, let's play some Pokemon." I did some searching and the Pokemon series I watched as a kid was the FireRed version so I decided to download it. Today I started my adventures and I thought I could keep a blog about it.

Day 1

I'm between a hard choice to pick a Charmander, Bulbasaur or Squirtle. I heard Bulbasaur never get any love as a starter pokemon so I decided to go with him. I go through the early shenanigans and I stumble upon a flock of Pidgeys.

I quickly learned that Pidgeys crit often... like really often... so I decide to catch a Pidgey and so I did. I decided that I needed to level up my Pidgey until it learns a fancy new move since tackle sucks.

I got lost at Viridian city. I noticed a path to the left but it was a dead end so I started to explore around the area, without any luck. I finally found the right path which was north of the Viridian city so I decided to continu…

The 10 Greatest Champions of All Time

I've been wanting to do this for a long time, but I feel like I can accurately make a list of the top 10 champions of all time. This list is inherently biased by nature, but I am going to try to give as accurate assessment on the top 10 greatest champions ever. There is a number of criteria to consider to determine the best champions. The first is consistency in competitive play, there's no way around it, pretty much every champion has had it's time in the sun, but very few champions can endure over time. The second criteria is domination; how strong was a champion? Was it first pick/ban worthy? There is also a number of criteria that automatically disqualifies a champion. If the champion hasn't been out that long it's pretty difficult to examine. *Spoiler alert*, sorry to all you Yasuo and Gnar fans, but these champions haven't been out long enough for me to accurately assess. In particular with Yasuo and Gnarr, they were both way overtuned for when they first came out and since the…

Need ideas for a guide

Soup.

Basically I just thought I could write up a guide or two when I have free time at my work. The internet is not any good to do anything else so I thought I could just spend some time writing guides.

It sounds weird but I have lot's of free time as I'm only required to do something if I get a customer and I'm not getting assigned a lot of customers as I'm only practicing so I'm just basically sitting around trying to find something to do.

Couldn't come up with a champion/general guide that could use one for a S5 guide and I remembered some of these threads at general discussion asking for others opinion so I thought I could try the same.

Any champions that could use for a guide? (I'm almost done updating my old ones) Besides bot lane champions, I also play these champions:
