Moon Moans: **** that needs to change

I think it's pretty good to make one of these threads every once in a while on the way I see the game. Things I think should be changed to make the game better. I will say I'm generally pretty happy with the state of the game and I think this has been a pretty balanced pre-season so far. I like a lot of the new changes and with all things considered this is one of the first times I think riot has done a really good job with nothing that was glaringly overpowered/gamebreaking (even Warwick was overhyped).

With that said it's always good to improve on a game so I'm going to list some things I think need to change to make the game better, feel free to let me know what you think in the comment section below.

You can basically create a character using the site and then share thefinal result with others. It is hard to create a male character but it's possible. Thought it would be cool to try to create yourself or a character from maybe anime or something.

Here are my creations;

1. Tried to create something spooky

2. Character from anime. Guess who? (Lacked resources btw.)

Common support mistakes (aka stop doing these and...

Introduction

Hello.

I thought about making a wall of text for the guide at first but I'm also seeking for opinions and more mistakes that supports are making. It feels better to have a wall of text here than in the guide too :)

So basically I had bronze V account and I'm taking it towards diamond V. (Currently being around platinum). I've seen supports of all kinds and picks. I've lost lanes only because of the support and I've almost lost my mind in some games. I'm trying to list mistakes that are really bothering me. Also trying to provide a example how to fix it or what should be done instead. I have no specific order in which I'm going to list the mistakes. Let's get to it then:

Starting with Ancient coin

Ancient Coin is a really bad starting item. It doesn't provide anything for the lane. It doens't give a single good stat for the early laning phase so you're already behind in lane if you start with it. Spellthief's Edge is much superior item for ranged supports. Superior …

Protection against Multi-queues: Why toxicity is...

There needs to be some sort of mechanism against multiple teammates queued together and using that to their advantage; especially when it comes to the tribunal and picking. I've played quite a bit of League of Legends in the 4-5 years I've been playing, and literally the worst experience is when you get 3-4 people queued together and they start harassing you. There's absolutely no recourse for their actions, because you're 1 person, reporting against 3 or 4 of them. If you don't do anything they like, boom instantly reported by all 3 or 4 of them and there's really nothing you can do. I just played a game with teammates who were triple queued together and I didn't counter-gank top instantly flamed by 2 of them, with the 3rd eventually jumping in. All throughout the game I got harassed by this trio and really they don't have to worry about flaming, because very likely I'm going to be the only one reporting them; at most they'd have 2 people reporting them, especially if it takes place i…

a Discussion of Elo Hell

So I've always been of the opinion that being in Elo hell is a mindset rather than an actual thing. Regardless of rating, when you are stuck and choose to blame allies instead of owning up to mistakes yourself, you are in Elo hell. I don't really consider myself to be in Elo hell, by that definition, as I definitely admit when I make mistakes (and, often, blame myself for things that aren't my fault) and attempt to remedy them rather than just pointing fingers.

Today (in a very long discussion on twitter), I was told I am an idiot for believing this. I was also informed that, instead, "Elo hell" is something I'm "stuck in" due to my dependency on others. Meaning if I was good enough to carry my team, I wouldn't be "there".

So I have a question for everyone. What do you think? Is being in Elo hell caused by a mindset that carries over into any rating/role/ect? Or is it actually caused by a dependency on others and can, therefore, be entirely prevented just by carrying?

Regarding the recent Syndra news post

Hey guys,

I'm writing this in response to the *****torm feedback we received in response to a recent news post about Syndra support. The general consensus seems to be that posts like this shouldn't be on the front page (which I'm perfectly willing to accept if most people feel that way), however I feel there are a few things that I should clarify/ask first. I decided to do it in a blog because I wouldn't want to unlock the thread just to leave a post of my own without anyone being able to respond to it.

Lordzios is/was part of MOBAFire's eSports Central crew and has in the past also written articles about (for example) Cassiopeia support and Mafa's support Malphite. Note that the idea behind these articles is not to present his opinion as facts, but to facilitate a place for discussion about whether or not these champion picks would work at different levels of play. One could disagree in the same way with Jebus' Korean Power Rankings or anoriginalloser's analysis on why Fnatic were i…

Top Lane First Look: Gnar

NOTE these are only my initial thoughts on Gnar after a few games with him on PBE some of these can very quickly change once I get off PBE and play against players of a better skill level on live servers.

Champion:

Gnar is a an interesting adapting champion that morphs between ranged and melle forms throughout the game. Unlike the other "morphing" champions who can morph at will as their ultimate Gnar's morph is related to his passive and his resource bar. Gnar starts the game as a "Mini" Gnar form. In this form Gnar plays as a mobile kite champion who uses poke slows speed boosts and percent health damage to deal with his opponents. This form is safe most of the time in lane and unless you get all in'd by an assassin or get ganked and waste your escape move and will allow you to play safe farm and poke the enemy laner. The area Gnar mainly lacks is a direct form of sustain, meaning lifesteal will be very important in any lane where the enemy has a reliable form of poke they can u…

4.12 Lucian thoughts

Yo.

Wanted to talk a little bit about the "new" Lucian as it seems to be the biggest change in the patch or at least the change that is getting the most attention. My first opinion was RIP Lucian 7/2014 but I've changed that opinion. The changes were the following:

-Base attack range lowered from 550 to 500

-Piercing Light (Q) range lowered from 550 to 500

-Piercing Light (Q) mana cost now 50/55/60/65/70 from 60/65/70/75/80

-Relentless Pursuit (E) now reads Whenever Lightslinger (his passive) hits an enemy, relentless Pursuit’s cooldown is reduced by 1 second (doubles to 2 seconds Vs enemy champions)

-Relentless Pursuit (E) mana cost has been reduced to 0 from 60/45/30/15/0
