Low tier tournament thoughts

I'm thinking about hosting a for fun low-tier champ tournament. There are some low tier marvel tourneys I've participated in, and I thought it would translate well to league. Could you imagine playing support, but not being able to play; Thresh, Blitzcrank, Janna, Sona, Lulu, Leona, or Zyra? Champs like Jayce banned for top mid and adc and zac banned top and jungle?

I can see this being fun and exciting, and it may give you a chance to show off your ziggs or urgot or poppy!~

If you would be interested in this idea, let me know in the comments below and I'll post a full banlist. It will be very extensive going role by role, with probably 40% of champs that can do a role would be banned.

My gift to you; a ryze guide and a shen guide



Probably the last 2 guides I'll write will be for my BEST champions. I use a standard Ryze build, which seems too complicated for the likes of Athene. I may employ a ryze top player to write a section for ryze top.

I invented a shen build and as you can see I've had a lot of success with it. Some of these wins and losses were early in the season (prob went like 5-4 or 4-3) before I developed my build, and I'm very sure I've won 80+% of my shen games since I figured out what works.

Shen is in an awesome place right now because at gold+, he's not even remotely bannable, so you'll get to play him often if you choose to. Peace~

UNIQUE Passive: Icy: Your basic attacks have a 25% chance to slow your target's Movement Speed by 30% for 2 seconds (20% for ranged attacks).
UNIQUE Passive: Spellblade: After using an ability, your next basic attack deals bonus physical damage equal to 150% of your base Attack Damage. 2 second cooldown. Does not stack with Sheen or Lich Bane.


So, plenty of stats. Basically what this item needs is an autoattacker, who also has some affinity with mana and AP. I'm thinking

Give me some ideas

So, I now have unfettered access to a couple of low silver accounts. One I have cart blanche control over, and the other I have mostly unlimited access, but it has EVERY CHAMP and practically every rune. I'm looking to mix things up and have some fun, so I was considering doing an elo climb on one of these accounts with some very specific constrictions. Would you like to see...

Only playing 1 champion? I can play champs like poppy as top, mid, jungle or support, as well as fiddle top, mid, jungle, support, etc. If you want this option, pick a low tier character that can fulfill multiple roles. (udyr support/mid? olaf mid/support? could work)

Only playing 1 role? If I were to do this, it would almost certainly be support. I'd be guaranteed to get my role and it could be entertaining.

Carrying on from the previous post, I compare the numerical value of building Last Whisper or an alternative item 3rd. In this case, that item is Infinity Edge. Prior items are:

Annie:
Small buff, pretty negligible. Tibbers has been working out.

Ashe:
Long awaited passive rework. Will ashe be more viable? slightly. Her fundamental problems still remain, but now she has a passable passive.

Hecarim:
Finally, taking the burst out of his ultimate. I believe I called this one in my previous blog post. I'm all for this. Hecarim is weaker now by quite a bit IMO.

Karma:
big buff. lowered mana/bigger aoe on her main spell and burst heal on her W. Not bad, not bad. I think karma is underrated right now, so any buff just makes well-balanced -> close to broke

Kha'zix:
Now slows targets hit by 20% for 2 seconds
Mana cost reduced to 55/60/65/70/75 from 60/70/80/90/100
Bonus Attack Damage ratio increased to 1.0 from 0.9
Evolution no longer consumes passive to apply effects--instead triples shot
Can no longer be cast …

How to balance some champions 6/10/13

Ahri - fine
Akali - buff gunblade
Alistar - fine
Amumu - fine
Anivia - fine
Annie - increase range of spell across the board by 10%
Ashe - New 'e' spell, please. Give passive flat increase to crit chance
Blitzcrank - fine
Brand - reduce mana costs by 10%, increase range of e back to launch levels, make R prioritize champions always
Caitlyn - fine
Cassiopeia - make 'w' come out bigger and in a cone, not a circle, maybe not expand as well
Cho'Gath - fine, would like to see his early sustain lowered a touch and his late sustain increased
Corki - reduce mana costs by 25%, make rockets reload much faster, reduce maximum capacity to 4
Darius - fine
Diana - reduce tankiness/resists to account for resistance stack meta (abyssal zhonyas)
Dr. Mundo - increase base armor, reduce health costs, rework passive to give more sustain early and less sustain late
Draven - reduce his level 1 axe damage significantly, have it scale to the same dmg at 5
