Improvement

Seen some significant improvement in my game lately in my main roles (Support and Jungle). The majority of the improvement originates from education/instruction and game observations/spectating (credit going to: C4 Lasty, H4xDefender, Rule18, Trick2g) as usual. This is of course due to my limited time to work on mechanics (I work full time, have a wife, and a dog).

Feel like I am playing at a silver level. Most of the time I play I queue up with silver elo friends...a few bronze. The bronze I play with feel like bronze players aka bad decision making...poor mechanics...etc. I can keep up with the silver players greater than 50% of the time and when I play with silver peeps only I have a good win rate.

Things I feel I have improved on in the last month:

1) Map awareness.

As a jungle/support it seems almost essential/your job to be the one paying attention to the map as last hitting isn't a concern for you. The improvement in me actually looking at the minimap regularly when I can wh…

Others have been doing this and I got this topic suggested, so why not.
This is me raging / outbursting 5 the most annoying things I can think of.
(Not in any specific order)


1. Nidalee supports



JUST NO. Everytime I see this no matter if it's normals or ranked..
It makes me want to dodge. Nidalee is not a ******** support.
Go mid lane and be useless, because you can't hit spears or go AD
bruiser Nidalee top and do no damage and just jump around in
team fights and wonder why you're always the last one alive, but
don't go support.

League Challenge #1: A charming marksman

This is the introduction of my 'league challenges'. Pretty simple stuff. If you complete all of my conditions and terms, you will earn a point. The first 3 people to win the challenge will win a point, and I'll keep track and possibly give out rewards every couple months.

Challenge #1; A charming marksman -

This first challenge is very basic. Play a ranked game as ADC Ahri and win!
1. Play Ahri on your MAIN ACCOUNT in solo queue ranked (duo queue ok)
2. Build physical damage items and no AP items or hybrid items (build like you're ashe or something)
3. Win!
4. Screenshot the victory lobby and upload it in the comments section

Tips:
-Ahri doesn't have the best AA range. If you're against high physical harass, consider armor glyphs.
-Charm is completely broken on a functional adcarry. I strongly suggest you max charm 1st for the enhanced CC duration.
-Ahri can kill at all levels with an aggressive support that either brings cc or damage. Chaining cc with your…

Just got Diamond 1! + AMA

Damn. Just damn.

Very overdue on my end, I've actually been hovering around the MMR for a while now and until recently had zero motivation to actually queue up for ranked. So glad I finally did.

AMAs are pretty lame, but the high ELO ones seem to be received pretty well - so AMA League of Legends related and I'll do my best to answer your question in detail!

How to last hit

As simple as it sounds, but is one of the most important and hardest things in the game.
Understanding over it, how to and what it gives it gives benefit especially once again in lower tiers, where cs differences are really great. I shall be using she in stead of he in this guide, because I don't wanna be sexist :P

Last hitting means doing the killing blow with basic attack/ability to kill a minion.
Let's look at the gold value of minions first and let's put it in-game after.

Melee minion
Gold Given: 22.5g (+.5g per cycle)

Ranged minion
Gold Given: 16.5g (+.5g per cycle)

Siege minion
Gold Given: 27g (+1g per cycle)


Champion assist is ~150 gold
Champion kill is ~300 gold


We can draw a conclusion, that 2 minion waves (3 melee, 3 caster)
are really close to a kill in gold value. So ~16 minions = 1 kill.
So if your lane opponent and you are both 0/0/0, but she is outfarming you
by 16 minions, it's the same as she is leading you with 1 kill.

Abilities

How to fix some champions, 9/26, quality of life...

Akali - return base damage values to pre-nerf, increased damage at lower levels on Q, easier farming / better poke early

Ashe - put a different passive on E besides +gold

Brand - More MS, lower mana costs 10-20%, ult will always prioritize champions on each bounce

Cho'gath - no longer very good at top, mid or jungle, tweak him to be playable in any of those roles

Dr. Mundo - ultimate costs no HP, or lower health costs across the board 15-25%

Draven - New passive pls.

Fiora - give her a better activate on her block where she does an aoe swipe, making her much more playable in the jungle.

Galio - New passive, move his new passive onto his abilities like ryze/mana ratios

Gangplank - New ultimate, please. Giving him kunkka ultimate would make him shoot from bottom tier to top tier.

Garen - Can't be knocked back while Q is active, cannot be knocked up while E is active. Would make him stronger while making him more skillful to use

Heimerdinger - Tinker ultimate from WC3?

Karma - …

S4 Possible support changes (Not confirmed, based on...

So towards Season 4, Riot is making changes especially to these things:
  • Visual Upgrades
  • Baron changes
  • Melee ADC vs Ranged ADC
  • Support & Jungle gold income
  • Stomped champions back to live
  • Balancing

I don't care to read much about things that don't matter my role, because I will know them later on when Riot makes the changes and starts confirming / explaining the reasonings more.

I am however very interested to see how the support changes are going along. I've done some researches and collected red posts and this is what I've come up with (a little sneak peek for S4 support changes)


Support gold income, Warding and role



This is the current situation and issue;
  • Supports are expected to not last hit, thus gaining no income
  • Supports are expected to shoulder most of the gold burden for purchasing wards
  • Supports are expected to roam the map and ward
  • Supports are expected to buy expensive activated items
  • Supports are expected to be effective without gold revenue
  • Supports are often tie

What we've learned from Worlds so far

So with group stage done, tomorrow (Monday) night will mark the beginning of the quarter finals in which Cloud 9, Fnatic, Royal Club, OMG, Gamina, Najin Sword, Gambit, and SK Telecom 1. 4 of those teams will move on to the semi-finals and then two of those teams will move on to the Grand Finals.

But let's take a look back in review:



Mineski and GamingGear.eu - These teams were both underdogs but not much was known about Mineski. Both teams were just massively overmatched and got stomped in pretty much every game, barring the TSM loss to GamingGear.eu. With that said, both teams gained a lot of experience and even quite a bit of fans. Mineski might have been the most popular team in the entire tournament.


LemonDogs falls - It was a rough couple days for LemonDogs. Group A was really hard, but they never really found their stride. The lost to every team in the group except GamingGear.eu and TSM once. They even got beat by a cheese comp from OMG. They were relative nobodies that cam…
