WillTheYordle Journal to LCS 1/31/2014

Welcome to Season 4 Summoners!

Man season 3 was crazy, ***asisns everywhere, supports only with wards, weeks of grinding, it was so much fun!

No time to think about it too much though, I'm still aiming for the top, and season 3 was my first season playing ranked, and I gotta say, ending in gold 3 isn't that bad! It's such a shame that the ranked resets were a lot harsher than everybody anticipated. I personally ended up in Silver 1, from Gold 1 by end of the preseason. In the last week I got back into Gold V without any troubles, and I don't think I'll have any problems getting to Gold 1, and then platinum!

Right now I'm playing with a team looking to head into an amateur LCS as the AD Carry. It's going decently and it isn't without it's challenges but I don't think we should have too many problems getting in.

I'm also streaming for the Low Elo podcast, and have been for the last two months. Every Wednesday at 6 PST, but sadly my internet has been giving me a few issues. My upload …

New Summoner Spell Idea

Hello everybody!

Few days ago I got an idea about a new summoner spell, that I would like to present to you.

BLINK

Icon: either open or closed eye

Summoner level: 12

Suported Game Modes: Classic, League of Legends Dominion

Description: Render your champion invisible for a short duration of time.

Technicalities:
  • Duration of invisibility: 0.5 +(0,1 per champion level) seconds, total of 2,3 sec at lvl 18
  • Using the spell: after using this spell it should either have some animation (like Shaco's puff when he use his Q) or sound, so you know that person just used his/her summoner
  • Casting: instant
  • Cooldown: 220
  • Range: 0 (you just become invisible)
  • While invisible: you can still get hit by AoE or skillshots, but those do not cancel your invisibility, you just take dmg.
  • Disabling the invisibility: by coming to a range of a Vision Ward,

Turning up.....or Turning down for what ?

BEFORE OPENING THE LINK MAKE SURE YOU CAN HANDLE WHAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE
NO ONE UNDER 10 YEARS OF AGE CAN SEE THIS.........

"VICTORY" 9-3-10 (Warwick top lane tank/blade of runied king)

Let me rewind for you so you understand why I shared that photo for you. I did 5v5 summoners rift and got paired with the most exuberant team I have ever played with. Let me tell you something it was the most fun game I have ever had. The whole round we were talking about how the Female Champions are all really sexual. Then the idea spawned (no pun intended) upon me why this is true. Guys are physically just stronger then girls, it's facts,so the same must apply for champions..... right? So the only counter is to look super ****ty and sexy so the Male champions get distracted and the Female champions can kill them.

> What girl would wear that to kill someone???!!!

To top it off here is a final picture...... enjoy? (they are just cartoons .....)

I stream now.

Hello. First of all, my girlfriend is hosting a league tournament with low battery gaming club at Stanford university. It should be pretty exciting and she'll be shoutcast so I'd appreciate if you popped in and showed her some love.

The event starts at 10PM on the west coast, so 1 AM east coast, etc.

As for me, I will be streaming mostly hearthstone on and off. I'm still working on streaming league, but at the moment, it makes league unplayable with FPS drops and latency. Come on in and drop me a follow and check in on me whenever you want. I average about 6 wins in arena so it should be a good show ;)

Thanks in advance!

People

It came to be a while ago that my efriends and I agreed that IRL friends are pretty much always bad a video games (highest exception rate is in fighting games).
We are right.
It's fun, but it's like a guaranteed loss, so I guess it's a good thing I don't care much my e-pen on my wins (though it's weird that I'll have more wins but I'm way less level then someone. That must suck losing so often!)

Anyhow, continuing with the tag, even though I have better chances with random people there's always that guy every other match or so that doesn't say what they're doing, insta-locks, and then ends up going bot (usually with a character like Yi) so there's 3 down there. (I was told to go top with Lux. Thankfully, I could rearrange the team. We won that game.)
In short, People are the worst. (I'm not misanthropic, honest.) [Except, I guess, those who read this and respond neutral-positive or not at all, which is a totally neutral response.]

In order to become the nerdiest there ever was I canc…

PC Problems

So, some of you know that my computer is kinda ****py. It wouldn't turn on yesterday and it turns out there's a problem with the Hard Drive. I wanted to finish Chapter 1 of my Light Novel by the end of the month but I have all of my stuff on my computer so I won't make it in time. When I get the Hard Drive fixed I'll finish Chapter 1 as soon as I can and I'll post it :P

Thanks for reading.

EDIT: It's fixed but the guy who did the repairs said the Hard Drive could die at anytime. Lucky for me I get to upload all of my stuff. Yay!!!

In a Slump

I have been in a slump the past few PvP games. I played as Jax, Kassadin, Warwick, and Dr. Mundo and go evem with all of them. We would also proceed to lose the match because of just stupid plays by me; IE: Turret kills me, minion kills me -_______- (the last one hurt...)

So I stood up stretched did some pushups and yelled at my roommate (because he was eating loudly) and sat back down. I logged on, I clicked play, waited 3 minutes to get into a game, (right now I should of just quit), got on and I was teamed up with noobs and tolls, (I love torlling as much as the next guy but I was not in the mood) as for the noobs..... I always hate them. Started the game (with the classic "WELCOME TO SUMMONERS RIFT!)and a kid left. Next I started off 0-7 with Nunu -_______-

The game ends and the trolls I played with banned me.....

and thats why I am writing this blog.....
this is how I am getting out of my slump ......
being banned

Tips for Playing As Vayne

EDIT: I made this into a Complete Guide for Vayne: http://www.lolking.net/guides/241152

The champion Vayne has been hotly contested in the past. At a certain point, we saw a change from riot to make it so that Vayne's auto attack primed before casting her E, would no longer go off as the target is being moved away. This did two things. It nerfed Vayne's trading in lane significantly and it slowed down her best combo of Ult + q, attack, wall stun, attack. It took some time to get used to this change, but most Vayne players were still playing her a lot after this and abusing the game as it was prior to s4. More emphasis needed to be put on outplaying your opponent as Vayne now, not just winning trades in lane with her free true damage proc. Vayne needed this counterplay to be introduced as her mid to late game more than makes up for a presumably weak laning phase. I welcome nerfs to champions, as it levels the playing field when playing against them, and makes it more likely I wi…

One Month of Streaming

It’s been roughly a month since I started the process of setting up a scheduled stream for the several games I play. Using Open Broadcaster Software, I've streamed League of Legends, Dawngate and Hearthstone all with roughly 3 viewers at a time and I've accumulated a following of 5 people (two of which are people I know personally and one of which is my moderator), and I’ve obtained roughly 250 views on my channel.

Streaming has been a fun, interesting and relatively easy learning experience. Before I created my Twitch channel I would never watch a League of Legends stream. Now, I find myself watching other’s streams whenever I’m not streaming myself. Watching to learn though, not for entertainment. Watching for what makes their stream entertaining – what overlays they have, if they have a webcam or not, if they have events, what kind of events those are and etc. I've even changed the way I play during League of Legends and Dawngate matches. Because I subconsciously know tha…

Here I am :P

So I made it to silver today :P. I decided to only play rankeds back at the start of december 2013 and from bronze 3 I went to bronze 1 (using Mostly AP Sion) playing 0-2 games a day. Now with season 4, my placement score was W:6 L:3 (dammit lag server -.-) and was placed right where I was, in Bronze 1. Now using my fav champ Jax and Nasus, I got to silver today :P. Yeah I know not that great but still its something. Should I be happy or are dangers lurking as in bronze? Also Jax and Nasus are banned/picked all the time. Is there any good top lane tier list?
