You can't kill this guy, just look for scaling, and be careful when ganking lanes, as he can follow easily, even if he is late at noticing. Try to just scale up, and don't fight him in lane.
Cassiopeia
What to say? It's in her name:
Cassi OP? Yah
Outdamages you with scaling items, don't try to fight her, look for your jungler and try to follow up their plays, or look for ganks. If she misses her poison, you can try to poke her, but if she lands it, you will be in for a bad time...
Kassadin
He is mobile, not very squishy, does a lot of damage, and counters more or less all casters. Don't let him get ahead, or he will stomp you and your team. Farm and avoid fighting him.
Malzahar
Malzahar is tricky to deal with...
Your auto attacks can pop his Passive spellshield, but this makes you unable to flash ult ambush him, and gives him plenty of time to react to the fact that you are there, so he will just cast his abilities and ult you. Avoid fighting him one on one, and if he gets Banshees Veil, there is not much you can do to him out of team fights...
Syndra
Outranges you, has burst, and a long range stun. Don't position with a ball between you and her, if you see the animation spawning between you two, use E and run to the side.
If she is bad, she is immobile and squishy, making her easy to kill, but she is rarely picked up by new players, making it likely she knows what she is doing.
If you get close to her, you MAY be able to burst her, but if she reacts to you in time, you are pushed out of range, and can't hit her...
Try to get close to her after she has missed her knockback stun, but beware, if she has a lot of balls nearby, she can just press R and you die...
Sylas
Hard matchup. He has CC, Heal, Dashes and can take your ult, or someone on your team. Try to harass him when he walks up for minions, but be aware of his dashes, as they make him able to reach pretty far...
Viktor
Has CC, Range and is not very squishy. His ult does a lot of damage, and moves faster the closer it is to him. If he hits you with his ult, try to stun him and run away. You can fight him if you are even, but it is not recommended to fight him 1 on 1...
Anivia
Immobile, Relatively Squishy.
Why is she dangerous? This sounds like your dream scenario!
Longer range, can wall you off, has slows, longer range stun, her E does A LOT OF DAMAGE if you step in her R or stun, so be careful. If she is behind, it will be fine.
Aurelion Sol
He prefers melee champs, and short ranged champs.
His orbs default to being in your Q range area, which means if you go in to poke him, he gets to poke you back for free. Try to farm up and get items to burst him quickly. Warn your team when he goes missing, as he is fast to gank!
Talon
You can kill him, he can kill you, but early in the game, you can harass him easier. Try not to get hit by his Q (Rake) both ways, or he can Dash on you and make you bleed with E, which is not a good time.
Skill matchup, but he can also easily roam, so keep wards, and ping your team when he goes missing! If you gank somewhere, he gets there faster, so even if you are first, he is not far behind!
Diana
After she got her R and E swapped around, she is WAY more dangerous. Try avoiding this matchup, as she will go in on you over and over if she lands a Q. If she does not, punish her with a stun and some burst. Her shield refreshes when all the orbs pop, so try to stun her away from your minions, so she gets less shield.
Morgana
Mostly played support, but her spell shield makes it hard for you to stun high priority targets if you don't catch them by suprise.
She outranges you, but she has a Root / Snare, which means you can still cast your abilities when she hits you. If she walks too close, you can hit her with Tibbers, Q or W, depending on how close she walks.
Zed
If he is good, you are in for a bad time...
If he isn't, it's a free lane. Try to harass him early, see if he is able to hit his Shadow Q, if he is, you rush Zhonyas Hourglass and play defensively. If he misses them over and over, or just backs off, keep pressuring him, poke him down, and then stun him with a Q and burst him with W and Ult.
Irelia
Can be a nightmare. She has a gap closer, high damage, and can reduce burst damage.
Harass her when your minions have a lot of HP, keep your distance when your minions are low health.
The more low health minions you have, the easier it is for her to get on you while she is strong.
Her passive makes her very strong when it is up, but she is not very strong when it is down. Don't get hit by her stun, and watch her stacks!
Lux
A good Lux can be scary, a bad Lux is free money. It's not a common matchup anymore.
She has longer range than you, but is very squishy. Don't get snared, use E to dodge them. If you get Protobelt and are ahead, you can dash into her and kill her over and over. If you are behind, just focus on dodging the Snare.
Orianna
Be careful early. If you don't fall behind, she will not be a big threat, if she is ahead, you will be in trouble. Try to keep your distance from her Orb / Ball, as the more distance you have, the more time to react and dodge.
Akali
Not a threat early usually, but if she gets ahead, she is EXTREMELY dangerous, and you are even at level 6, be carefull. Stun her with Q, as if you use W or Tibbers, and she Shuriken Flips, or uses her R, you will miss! If she goes invisible when you cast Q, you can see where she is when your Q hits her, and you know she is stunned, so slap her with a W, and maybe Tibbers (R) if you know she is low
Ahri
It's a skill matchup. She has longer range, which can make it tricky, but she is squishy enough to be killed with a single rotation of spells if you are not behind. Consider getting Protobelt to follow her, or get Ludents Echo, and wait for her to come to you. Use minions as shield from charms.
A tip is to summon Tibbers in front of her, so that if she cast charm as you engage, Tibbers takes it, not you! Still try to have him in range for initial damage tho...
Brand
Skill matchup.
He has the same threats as you, but longer range. He is more immobile than you tho, after Annie got a speedbuff on her E, so dodging his Flame Pillar is easier.
Don't summon Tibbers near you when he has ult up, you WILL DIE! Keep your distance from Tibbers!
Vladimir
More annoying than dangerous.
Hard to kill, hard to gank, and has some waveclear, which makes it tricky to roam without losing too much cs. Grabbing Teleport and getting Morello early is probably a good idea, and don't try to hard engage in lane, as he will most likely pool.
If he is bad, you will notice, which can give you some kills, but be carefull...
Fizz
Tricky to categorize. He can't do much before he hits level 6 if you play correctly, and after level 6 he NEEDS to land his ult on you to stand a chance. If he gets ahead, he is a nightmare, if he falls behind, he is a joke.
Bait out his Playful / Trickster with Q and stun ready, if he hops, wait for him to come back down and tag him with W. If he eats the Q, hit him with W instantly.
If you see his ult coming, don't forget to use E to run out of the way, or Protobelt if you have it.
Vel'Koz
Immobile? Yes
Longer range than you? Yes
Has CC? Yes
Squishy? You bet
Catch him by suprise, he is dead, position poorly, you are dead. It's a skill matchup in his favour, but if you get ahead with a protobelt, you can run him down over and over.
Rumble
Rare to see, but if you meet one, he probably knows what he is doing. Avoid standing in his flamethrower, and try to get him to use his shield, then go for the burst after. His harpoons can be deadly, as they slow you down, keeping you in his flamethrower.
His flamethrower does NOT stop when he is stunned, which means you should go in when that is down, so he can't activate it as he is about to be stunned!
Swain
Relatively tanky, so he is hard to kill, but he can't kill you easily either, so just try to scale and look for roams.
In team fights, he can pull you into their team, if he does, try to have a stun ready, and punish him and his team for doing so.
Zoe
Stand behind minions, wait for her to use her R in some stupid way, and hit her with Q if she R's forward, or burst her when she comes back if she went backwards. If you are about to fall asleep, and are low health, use Tibbers just before you fall asleep, and use him to tank her Q so you don't die. Don't forget to use E to dodge her abilities, all of them are skillshots.
Can be dangerous if ahead.
Never EVER flash away from a Zoe, UNLESS you are flashing into your team, as you just give her a free follow, and you blew your only escape tool.
You can build Protobelt into Zoe without issue, as long as you use it for engage and not escapes. If she uses R, you can protobelt to where she comes back, and burst her.
Bait her with bubbles that drop from minions / you. Here Protobelt can also be a bait tool, most Zoe players greed pretty hard for them. Hit her with a stun Q if she jumps forwards for one.
Ziggs
Squishy, relatively immobile (Can jump away, but has a ~20 sec cooldown until later in the game)
But will push into your tower a lot, if you leave lane, he will take the tower really fast. Punish him if he uses his W and E on minions, as he then has no slow to keep you off, and no escape when you get to him
Lucian
Lucian mid is getting more popular again.
He has a bad matchup, BUT HE IS DANGEROUS EARLY! His double shot gives him WAY more damage than you would think in the first few levels, so try to farm up to level 6, get some damage, and kill him over and over after that.
If he is ahead, he can be dangerous, so try not to die to a gank early, or be over-confident and die solo to him. He is actually that dangerous!
Yasuo
A good Yasuo can actually be very dangerous if you stand too close to minions, as he will dash through them, auto attack a few tunes and Q you, then dash out, which does a lot of damage. If you don't get too close to minions, he is basically useless. A Tiny threat if he is average and you play correctly, can be even or major if you are positioning poorly.
Yasuo's windwall actually only blocks your Q, and if he blocks your Q, it does NOT consume your stun, so if he dashes forward after a Q blocked, W him and hit him hard!
Yone
He might seem scary the first time you meet him. His Q has a suprisingly long range and large hitbox, but his other abilities are pretty bad against you. The shield is too small to negate a Q W Auto combo, even if it gives some negation, and his return ability is on hold while stunned, which means if he uses that, you can still finish a combo before he can return with a stun up, which is not good for him.
Qiyana
Has Burst, has Mobility, you would think she is dangerous, but her range is so short that you are able to deal with her still. Just keep harassing her, use Q for stuns so that you don't miss when she jumps, and finish your combo while she is stunned and back off. Rinse and repeat for some easy early kills.
Ezreal
He might outrange you, but he is squishy and has no cc. Cast a Q on him, even if he blinks away, the Q will stun him, and you can walk up to him, and finish with a W, auto, and likely another Q. After level 6, keep stunning him with Q and kill him with your combo!
Corki
He is the same as Ezreal, but can still damage you even when stunned, and has an easier time roaming due to his Package passive. You can kill him over and over if you get ahead, which you will as long as you don't eat his Q early game.
Ekko
Usually a non-threat. You mostly see him jungle now adays, so I haven't laned against him in a long time.
Avoid getting hit by the Q both ways, or he will E (Dash) into you and burst you down, and then retreat or chase depending on how much health he has and you have.
As long as you do that, it's an easy matchup.
Veigar
Should be a small threat after Annie's E speedbuff change. When you are caged in, focus on not getting hit by his meteor. If you can avoid that, he will most likely not be able to kill you, as long as he is not ahead.
Behind or even, he is not really scary at all, but ahead, he can kill you by landing 2 abilities.
Most of the time, you should be able to burst him down, so keep your stun ready, and watch closely if he steps too close to you!
Amumu
His ult and passive is very good with your kit. He can Q into enemy team and ult them all, making you able to just walk up and ult them too, and his pasive makes you deal bonus true damage!
Thresh
Can pull you into their team, and you can stun them with your ult. Also amazing lane to gank!
Jarvan IV
With a good ult, he can keep a team clustered up, making you able to land a pretty sweet ult! Also forces them to blow flash to get away from Tibbers, or he will just smack them in the cage!
Galio
Can stop enemies from killing you, and can pull them together, pretty decent
Bard
Bard can stun for you, or extend your stun, help you get over walls and such, and give you a nice speed boost, and he can ult enemies so you can get in, but beware so you don't ult as his ult is about to land, as you will miss everyone (And maybe get some "Enemy is missing" pings)
Brand
Support that can delete full teams with you
Cho'Gath
A good Cho'Gath can hit a lot of people with his knockup, then silence them, making them unable to flash-react to you showing up
Volibear
Great at ganking your lane, not the best synergy in team fights, but if he ganks mid, you can get some early gold leads!
Darius
What does Darius to? Pull enemies together!
What does Darius hate? Getting kited!
What does Annie prefer? Enemies in a cluster!
What does Annie do? Stun people!
In team fights, you and Darius can mess a full team up!
Gnar
Can stun people from a long jump, and can stun multiple at a time, making him pretty good for engage, and easy to follow up! Also makes him able to follow your stuns if he has his Mega Gnar up or ready!
Malphite
Long ranged knockup, so a good engage. It's a bit short in duration tho, so you need to be quick!
Blitzcrank
He can pull targets to you, and stall enemies, but only does so with single targets, so no team-fighting deciding synergy here
Fiddlesticks
Team deleting potential together, but you two on the same team probably means they will have all flanks warded at most times
Irelia
She is a duelist and split pusher most of the time, but her ult is actually pretty good with yours. Does not hard keep them there, but if they walk through, they will be slow, making a lot of people staying in it
Maokai
Can root people relatively close to each other, but will most likely only root one. Sometimes the fact that his ult only roots the first person per branch makes people stand in a line, so it's possible that you can get a good ult from his, but most likely not
Janna
She splits teams up, eeew
Illaoi
In team fights, literally makes the enemy team do what you don't want them to do, split up hard...

So, you are here, which most likely means you want to learn how to play Annie, or get better at it. In this guide, we will look at some basic things, builds, and what you should do!
So Annie, what kind of champ is this?
Annie is a short ranged Burst Mage. With good positioning, good engages, or good followup, you can turn team fights.
Annie's kit is build up of Crowd Control (CC) and Attack over Area (AoE) Damage. She is one of the few champions with pretty reliable multi-target stuns.
Why would I start playing Annie?
Annie is an inexpensive champion to get, and is reliable, even in higher elo if played correctly. She is also easy to learn, and does not rely on flashy mechanics, only vision and positioning.
It's a great champion to learn the game with!
About Me
Heyo, KoBro12 here. I like to play videogames (Obviously) and have played League of Legends for quite some time, but never really bothered to play ranked past Gold before Season 10.
I like to code and develop small game projects from time to time, and sometimes Stream League or other games on Twitch (Hehe, epic plug, I know)
I started on EuNE, but have played on EuW since around the beginning of Season 3, since that was where all my friends played (Back then, the EuNE server was new, so most EU players were on EuW)
Why did I start to main Annie?
I'm an Annie one-trick, and have been so for quite some time...
I started playing back in season 2, and the reason I really started to play Annie was because she was a 450 IP champion, and she got fed in my first bot game, stomping me and my team...
The reason I probably stuck to Annie is likely to do with the fact that back then, you had to save up IP for runes, so I saved IP from level 5 - 21 to buy all the runes I needed as quickly as possible, basically locking me into a single champion pool, so I only had the 450 champs, and the runes that Annie players were meant to use.
Since then I've played all the champions in the game, and have had periods I've mained other champions, but I've always returned to playing Annie, as I find her relaxing to play, since I only need to think about vision, positioning and ganks.
I have earned 1.3 million mastery points on Annie after the Champion Mastery system was introduced, but have probably played more Annie games before it was added.
Pros / Cons
Pros:
Great passive Good damage output Great in teamfights AoE Stun High damage burst Scales well of most AP items, making her very versatile
Cons:
Imobile No escape (Without Flash) Takes long to build up stun in sticky situations Heavily relies on bursting, not the best DPS (Unless in a teamfight)
Spells
Pyromania (Passive)
Pyromania will make every 5th ability you throw a stun, excluding the E (Molten Shield), which will not trigger it, only stack it up. Always keep an eye open for the counter.
Disintegrate (Q)
When Disintegrate lands the killing blow on anything, it's mana cost will return, and you have half cooldown! This is useful to help with farming early, and helps you build up Pyromania quickly!
Incinerate (W)
Incinerate is cone shaped, and will shoot fire and damage all enemies in the cone. This is one of Annie's 2 Area stun abilities (If Pyromania is up). This ability has some growth time, so even if someone is on the edge, they can move out before it hits them (R.I.P old instant hitbox)
Molten Shiend (E)
Molten Shield used to only be for poke reduction or staking your Pyromania, but this is no longer the case! It is a shield that gives % damage reduction and movementspeed (based on level, not spell tier).
Like Thornmail, it returns damage to attackers that Auto Attack you!
This is your ultimate, and is the 2nd area stun you have.
When summoned, he will damage (And stun if Pyromania is up) any enemy within a radius of where he is summoned!
If you hold CTRL and right click, you can order him to go somewhere or attack!
Tibbers also does damage to nearby enemies every second!
NOTE: IF HE DAMAGES AN ENEMY CHAMPION INSIDE TURRET RANGE, AND YOU ARE IN THE TURRET RANGE ASWELL, THE TURRET WILL ATTACK YOU, SO BE CAREFULL!
Tibbers can tank turrets for your team if you do not have minions, or keep minions alive under tower, he takes priority (Most pets do)
