Champion Build Guide

[11.20] Menace To LoL Janna

By King Turtle
Build Introduction
I got bored one day and decided I wanted to make a meme build. What proceeded was playing random champions with dumb builds until I found one that I liked, ultimately leading to this build that I think is fun in Top and Mid. It's not meant to be the best janna build or to be a ranked climbing build. Just a build to have fun with and mess around with when you're bored or have nothing else to do. I think it's fun and hope you do to. Now we'll check out the rest of the build.
Pros
-High Movement Speed: Janna is an incredibly fast champion, which is perfect with her passive and her W then add her items and you have a mega fast wind lady with enough AD to level most squishies and a few bruisers.

-Great Kiting: Along with her high movement speed, her Q and W have CC that will be able to stop incoming attackers and cancel dashes like Irelia and Talon Q.

-Good into Melee Matchups: Her poke and kiting potential make melee matchups easier and even against champions like Irelia, Talon, and Akali you can cancel their dashes with Q and R so there's always a chance to make a play.

-Cost Efficient Build: This build is extremely cost efficient in the mid game, as the only items above 3000 gold are Immortal Shieldbow and Navori Quickblades.
Cons
-Extremely Squishy:Seeing as you're Janna you have very little health and even less resistences, and this build doesn't change that. The only thing you have to make up for that is Shieldbow and Doran's Blade.

-No AP(with one exception): Considering we're going an AD on-hit build, you make little to no use of the scalings in your kit. Meaning, your shields and healing on R won't be as effective as normal Janna.
Abilities

  • Tailwind increases Janna's movement speed by 8%. Her basic attacks and W also deal bonus magic damage scaling with 25-35% of your current movement speed. The scaling is increased by level from 1-10

  • Janna builds up a tornado at her location, which can be activated any time before 3 seconds, otherwise after 3 seconds it will automatically activate. The longer it charges, the longer the range gets. It can also interrupt dashes such as Irelia Q, Akali R, and Talon Q.

  • Whenever Zephyr is off cooldown you become ghosted and gain bonus movement speed. Janna targets an enemy, dealing damage and slowing them for 2 seconds. The damage on this ability not only scales with AP, but also with the same movement speed scaling on your passive.

  • Janna shields an ally or herself, absorbing damage and increasing their AD for 5 seconds or until the shield is broken. Each CC hit from a slow or knockup lowers its cooldown by 20%.

  • Janna knocks back enemies within 875 units, and channels a heal which restores HP to all allies inside the circle for up to 3 seconds. This Ability can be cancelled at any time.
Runes

  • Lethal Tempo is good with this build because a lot of your poke is going to be auto attacks and weaving autos between CC. Lethal Tempo pushes you past the attack speed limit and makes it easier to run people down.

  • Presence Of Mind helps you retain mana early game, and makes hitting your abilities more rewarding. It'll be your main mana source until you get your Essence Reaver.

  • Legend: Alacrity gives some nice bonus attack speed so you can hit as fast as possible.

  • Cut down will be an incredible option since Janna has some of the lowest max hp in the game, and will be squishier than a vast majority of champions, ESPECIALLY solo laners. You'll have Cut Down active throughout most of the game.

  • Celerity is perfect for Janna as its entire purpose is to increase your movement speed, and whatever movement speed effects you have, which is a lot for Janna.

  • Waterwalking will be a more situational rune, but paired with Janna's kit it works perfectly as you're already gaining adaptive power, but then that added movement speed is pouring into her passive, giving even more power on your auto attacks.
Immortal Shieldbow

Immortal Shieldbow is the best crit mythic to go because you being naturally weak means you need a lot of survivability to keep up in lane with normals champions like Fiora or Talon. Most of your power early is going to be farming and staying on par with the enemies gold to eventually get enough items to sneak a kill or two before laning phas ends, and Shieldbow is the best start you can get. Noonquiver is going to keep CSing easy and the lifesteal from vamp scepter will allow to play more loosely and abuse the enemy laner more.
Swiftness Boots

Boots of Swiftness are the perfect boots to get for her because her Passive Bonus Magic Damage on auto attacks scales with move speed, and mobility boots are only going to be at full potential outside of combat. With swifties you're also hard to hit and it's easier to dodge skillshots that take longer to hit like Swain W for example.
Essence Reaver

Essence Reaver is going to be your main mana retention after Presence Of Mind and is a sheen item that you can easily abuse in trades. You get more crit and ability haste which will stack up later in the build. This item gives you everything you want for damage purposes and is great for early poke.
Phantom Dancer

Phantom Dancer gives you crit, AD, and Attack speed which is what we want, BUT the most important part is the movement speed and the movement speed boost when you attack an enemy. Having the Ghosted effect makes it easier to chase someone down if you're in the mid game, and this item along with the rest of the build is mostly gold efficient.
Runaan's Hurricane

Runaan's Hurricane is going to work well for teamfights if you can get people grouped up. It's a very good item for attack speed, adds crit, and gives you even more move speed along with swifties and phantom dancer. All these add up to give you more bonus damage per auto attacks. The bolts on Runaan's also apply on-hit affects and will crit so it fits into the build better.
Navori Quickblades

Navori Quickblades is a bit expensive but the low cost items beforehand make up for it. It's yet another crit item, gives lots of AD, and 30 ability haste helps keep you equipped with enough CC to stop a bullet train. The passive is the best part because you'll have 100% crit chance and with the attack speed and lethal tempo you'll be hitting insanely fast allowing for you to keep people away with Q and W more often.
Situational Items

Wit's End is going to be really good for AP heavy teams and it's just an all around good item right now. Bloodthirster will be for if you feel that you need more healing and lifesteal than you already have. The bonus shield at max hp will also help for initial fights. Nashor's Tooth will be good if you have a heavy AD comp and feel like you need the little added AP to keep the enemies on their toes.
Early Game
Early game is going to be the main focus of this build because if you can stay alive early, farming is incredibly safe with Shieldbow, and you can abuse people with your range and high amounts of CC. The biggest thing will be knowing when to use W. Since your passive bonus magic damage on autos and W scales with move speed, your Ws passive move speed will also factor into that scaling. The only downside is that W passive move speed is only available when the ability isnt on cooldown. So knowing when to use W is going to be a big factor.
Mid/Late Game
Once you get into mid game it's practically normal janna, but you do a lot more damage and you can kite extremely well against most champions. The only people that'll really hard stop you is someone like a mega fed kha zix, or Senna. Just focus on positioning and keeping people down when you can. Around Late Game with all of your gained move speed, you'll be doing an additional 60 damage per auto, with 257 AD, 487 Move Speed, and 1.9 attack speed without Lethal Tempo. With Letal Tempo you'd be hitting 2.61 Attack Speed.
Build Conclusion
This build is purely a meme build that I thought of out of boredom and 3 am antics. I tested this build against an Aatrox and had so much fun that I decided to expand on it more. Now I bring it here for others to fool around and have fun with. Make sure you pay attention to your W and use it properly to avoid losing out on move speed value. This build itself is also rather cheap so getting to full build shouldn't be too much of a struggle. I hope your experience is just as fun as mine and that it brings good times. GLHF! Enjoy!
