You always want ignite beacuse it cuts off a lot of his main power (healing), zone him with your barrels, and buy boots fast beacuse movement speed is key in this matchup as you need to dodge his sweetspots and be able to leave W cage. His cds are very long early so abuse it, your passive works very similar to his, if u know he used it on minions you can walk up and trade with yours. If youre not ahead avoid going too far from your tower if you know he has ult beacuse he can easily chase you down, His autos are pretty slow so its hard for him to auto your barrel, but he can do it with dash and aa reset so be aware of that. Level 7 is your powerspike. You outscale him
Ahri
You counter her, just block her charm before she can land her combo beacuse its important for her to deal significant damage. She cant really oneshot and you can oneshot her. Try to dodge her Q returning to her as it deals true damage, Her ult might be annoying as she can easily dodge your barrels but she shouldnt be a threat, you outscale her hard.
Akali
This champion has very ****ty early due to her energy loss, abuse the **** out of her pre6 and constantly poke and trade with her. After level 6 you will get oneshotted if you dont have a massive lead but there is a counter to that, buy a hexdrinker as fast as you can, it blocks so much damage that she cant really oneshot you if not fed, after that return to ****ing her hard.
Akshan
He has perfect kit against gp, his double autos disable your barrels and his E allows him to all in you smoothly without coming to melee range. Let him push and avoid letting him stack press the attack, you can time your Q/aa to go between his double auto and lasthit the barrel but it requires some practice and is pretty hard to do during intense fights. Somehow i dont think i ever lost against that guy but i dont think its the champion, just the players who braindead pick him against gp beacuse of double auto.
Anivia
You outdamage her hard and can W her important Q stun. She is very squishy and inmobile so you can hit barrels easily. The only problem is that gp has no dash so if she blocks you with the wall and ults you might die so care about that
Annie
Her kit is orientated around 1 stun and you can W it, you also outdamage her hard if she doesnt use tibbers. With grasp you outpoke her and if u land ur barrel and slow her enough to walk up and use your passive she is dead in most scenarios. If she got ahead or you are playing against some other burst ap buy hexdrinker and she will be useless.
Aurelion Sol
Not a real champion, u can win with your Q alone and block his important Q stun
Azir
He is rare and hard so i dont reccomend banning him. If you play against him tho it will be pain in the ***, he outranges you, and his soldiers can destroy your barrels (2soldiers = barrel lose 2hp) so you cant really hit one in lane. If he is not good its easy lane as you outdamage him hard but if he is good just farm udner the tower, wait for gank and dont let him insec you under the enemy tower/his jungler beacuse due to your lack of mobility he will kill you without any problems. Lategame is easier as in the teamfight chaos you can oneshot him and he cant really setup the soldiers to 2hit your barrel past lvl13.
Camille
You can zone her with barrels, she cant really use E on you beacuse if you will destroy your barrel underneath you as she lands and W her stun she instalose trade. Her ult might be an issue but if youre ahead you can **** on her. Dont let her auto you too often early as she gets shield from that.
Cho'Gath
You can zone him hard, and she wont touch you. After you get hit by his Q just W stun after knockup and walk away. He has pretty good sustain from minions so try to zone him from them or at least make him pay for csing them. The ult is his main problem as its a massive damage execute. He shouldnt be able to make you low hp tho if you wont missplay.
Corki
I think this champion has no damage early on, his packages might be a problem but predictable and he cant use them often. You should stomp lane.
Darius
Skill matchup, poke him down with Q and barrels and play around his E range. Its much more easier if you played some matches with darius and know his range. His damage is disgusting if he gets the stack so try to take short trades. Always take boneplating, and if he pulls you, autohim with passive for bonus movement speed, W his slow from his W, try to avoid Q edge and run away. DONT GO TOO FAR FROM YOUR TOWER if he has ghost and you dont have a lead
Dr. Mundo
Easy matchup, just try to dodge his Q, your passive resets melts him and if it wont you can just farm and it will be okay, you will outscale.
Draven
The legendary gp's fear, draven toplane. He outdamages you hard and with his W makes him so fast that he can just leave from your barrels. The only good things about him is that you can predict his movement with your barrels thank to his Q marks, but still his damage makes it hard to leave the tower. Ive watched what he can do but never experienced it myself
Kalista
Very rare and very hard, ultimate gp counter. Lacks dravens damage but her dashes let her get out of barrels range and stick to you if you get too far from your tower. Sit under the tower.
Rengar
very hard matchup if rengar is good as he is very tanky and has decent damage. He can auto your barrels from the bush and his jumps are so fast that you cant really react, you can predict it but you wont be able to do it constantly. The counter for that might be placing double barrels next to each other but due to yours E long cd its not possible too often. Dont get baited by his low hp bar, as even if you win the trade he can outplay you easily. buy tabis asap, if he wont get an early kill it shouldnt be that hard but its not hard for him either to get it.
Ekko
He can destroy your barrel easily but it wastes his E, so you can just passive auto Q him and win every trade. Buy hexdrinker if he is causing problems.
Fiora
I really like this matchup. Poke her down and try to play around your vitals, if its bad and you have some time go to nonwarded bush and reset it. She can W your barrel, or your passive, no matter what she blocks use the second thing on her. If he hits her W, eat orange asap as it slows you and reduces your aa speed by a lot. Try to block your vitals during ult with walls as she cant hit them if you are squeezing them to the wall
Fizz
His kit is good against you, he has burst and untargetability, he is just bad though and you should outdamage him easily
Garen
Place the barrel underneath you and wait for him to Q to you, then place another one on his face, you can zone him hard. Try to block his passive by Quing him. Watch out for outplays tho as he can flash on you every 5 minutes and ult you for 40%hp true damage so be prepared.
Gnar
Play around his ragebar, if he is close to 100 or is already megagnar and didnt use his jump yet sit on the barrel and try to dodge his high damage Q poke, remember his Q cd is partially reseting if he picks up the stone so try to zone him from it by placing barrel there. You should bully him if he is mini.
Illaoi
Dodge E and you win every fight, if you missplay and get hit by it while she has ult never fight with her beacuse she will outdamage you hard and heal your damage.
Irelia
Tricky matchup, you outdamage her hard if she has no stacks, but its very easy for her to get them while fighting in lane. Care about your lowhp minions that she can jump on and use as a way to get you. Try to not get hit by her E and if u do instantly W it. Place a barrel on your minions, if you take some practice you can destroy it as she dashes on them, passive auto her and you win most of the fights, but if irelia is skilled it could be very hard. Her ult is a huge threat.
Gwen
She counters your kit well, its hard to zone her from minions with barrels beacuse she can use her aura and it wont hit her. Her E is very good against your barrels as she can easily dodge them and lasthit, and also her ult and Q is very good for unmobile champions. The only thing that doesnt make her extreme counter is that her numbers are ****ty and you can still win hard if you play well.
Katarina
You outdamage her HARD and she cant really do anything to you if she didnt get 5 kills from botlane. The only issue is that you cant really run away or cancel her ult, but she should be so ****ed pre6 that it shouldnt be a problem.
Jax
You counter him, stand on your barrel and if he jumps on you with QE, just auto it and run away with ur bonus movement speed and him being slowed, then when his E ends turn back, auto passive him and you win every fight, try to not let him stack his passive on minions.
Kassadin
You **** on him pretty much in any scenario, even late game, just buy maw if he gets fed or get farmed to late game. He lacks damage and tankiness and is basically free lane
Kayle
You **** on her pre11, if you wont stomp her till that moment she will outscale you and kill you but she should be so behind that you can can **** her anyways, dont start to melee fight if she has 6stacks on passive
Shen
You stomp him, place barrel next to you but not directly underneath you beacuse if you do he can auto it before you W his taunt. Kite him when he gets his W on. The only problem with him is that you cant stop his ult and its very usefull, but then you can push him hard and take plates so its win for you anyways.
Nasus
He cant do anything to you as you counter his only way to catch you with your orange. Early on you can stand in front of your minions and **** on him, try to freeze and if you cant, slowpushim so you can **** him under his tower. After his lv6 and 100 stacks it gets a little harder, dont come close when he has ult on, he is easily kiteable and you outscale him beacuse his stacks wont matter if he cant get to you.
Malphite
It was a hard matchup if you didnt go trinity before, after gp hp scale its much more easier as he cant oneshot you past6. Use your corrupting potion to keep his passive off.
Riven
My personal permaban, but i dont think its very hard i just hate the champion, she outdamages you if she can reset her autos, sit on barrel and if she jumnps on you destroy it and passive auto. The laning is not that hard but care for past6 ambushes as if he plays right she can oneshot you.
Yone
Very easy early, he is very squishy, poke him with Q and if he jumps on you with stacked Q just destroy the barrels as he dashes, also if u sidestep it you have basically free trade. His ult oneshots after several items are the only problem but and thats why he is not in tiny tier but its managable
Yasuo
easy, poke him to get his passive off, place barrel underneath you and he cant do ****, remember to auto not q the barrel if he has windwall. You can W his ult (not damage but cc its very helpful)
Yorick
Hard but managable, he is similar to illaoi, but with cage. You need to dodge his E as it deals massive damage, if u dont W asap and try to kite ghouls. The cage is very big problem beacuse of your low as and no mobility so if u get trapped in one you propably die, burn flash or at least lose hard trade. Fortunately it has pretty small range so play around it and you should be fine. Try to kill his ultimate before going to all in as it deals much damage.
Zoe
Very easy, u pretty much **** on her. You counter her main combo setup (E) with your W, its important for her beacuse its not only her only cc but also it increases her Q damage by a lot. Also when she uses her ult you can place barrel on the hole where she will jump back from so you have free damage. She is also very squishy, the only problem is her laser E autos when she uses her ability but its not a big deal.
Zeri
AD: Her kit is very good against you and similar to gwen the only thing that is stopping her from being an extreme counters is that she has ****ty numbers. You should stomp her early, as she doesnt have health or damage but as soon as she gets her phantom dancer and she propably build it as second item you are pretty much done, she eats your barrels with Q auto with ease and you cant really touch her. The only way you can kill her if youre not super fed is by ambushing or if she is bad and let you prowlers claw on her when she is not next to any wall.
Wukong
He has very good damage early and after 6 can oneshot you. Its not that hard to win with him pre6, but if the enemy jungler comes and kill you once its pretty much over if he wont throw it. Place the barrel underneath you and destroy it when he uses E on you, the problem is that if he is good he can W away as you auto with your passive and avoid a big chunk of damage. You can play a mindgame with him by cancelling your auto and waiting for his invis to fall off but its risky and undpredictable as you can get easily baited.
Xerath
Movement is key in this matchup as his only damage lays on skillshoots. Early might be a bit hard but late you win. He outranges you hard and you need to play around your barrels as he is inmobile and easy to hit. The good thing is that you can oneshot him late and he cant do the same to you as you can W his stun. prowlers claw counter him hard.
Zed
After gps early nerfs its very hard to survive early on. His triple Q combo destroys you if he lands it and its hard to dodge as you have no dashes. Buy tabis or at least cloth armor as early as possible, you should stomp him if he wont get a good combo but if he does 3/4 of ur hp is gone. The problem is if you want to go deathdance you lose your crit damage that is important after gp changes but i think its worth it anyways.
Viktor
Very hard matchup if he knows what he is doing. His first E is pretty much undodgeable for you if he places it well and your Q is pretty much useless early on beacuse when you Q him he Qs you, dealing pretty big damage and denying yours with shield. Also after Q he gets laser auto so if u place barrel he can Q you and auto it and its very hard to outlasthit it. You can oneshot him late but its hard beacuse he can do the same to your whole team.
Tryndamere
I know you are propably suprised beacuse many people think trynda is one of the biggest gps counters, well i dont think so. You outdamage him hard on short trades if he doesnt have his fury. You can easily zone him from the wave with barrel, and when he E on you just blow it up, auto with passive and run. I know it seems strange but build wardens mail, i had a huge problem with trynda before i saw that some challenger players do it and its actually huge as it makes his damage much smaller and you can easily tank his damage when he is in ultimate. The only problem in this lane is the moment before your wardens mail and after his lv6.
Vladimir
Its harder if its on midlane, but on toplane you can punish him very hard early. Your Qs outdamages his heal and you can **** on him with barrels. He can W them tho, but it costs him 1/5 of his max hp so if he does the trade is already won. It gets harder late but if you manage to make him be behing its managable
Warwick
Kite him. I would say its very similar to darius, but with more healing and no stacks. If you come to melee range never make go in long trades, just auto with passive and run. Always fight when you have barrel nearby so you can run away and deal bonus damage. He is very squishy but his healing is sick, past6 save your W for his ult, try to reset your passive as many times as possible beacuse the true damage hurts him. Save some burst for when he has low hp as he heals much more and you should be fine.
Vex
This champion should be propably minor counter but i just hate playing against her. She needs to poke you before all inning so if you sidestep her Qs you should be fine. W her stun if you get hit by it and answer with your abilities. She can play very safely and avoid your poke so its pretty boring lane.
Galio
I didnt play for a very long time against galio but i dont see how he can win. You W his taunt that is important to make you stay in his Q and you melt him with your barrels and passive. He is also weak against ad poke. Free lane.
Udyr
i think gp is one of his biggest counters but the amount of shield and tankiness he gets is ****ing sick. You really need to focus and reset a lot of passives and hit many barrels to kills this mf. His damage isnt big but he lives for so long that he can deal small damage over and over making it big. I dont have many tips as he was recently reworked but i think poking him and kiting will do the work
Renekton
Not a threat before lv6, past that he wins hard if you wont pay attention. Its not that bad though beacuse before that happens he will propably be ****ed by your barrels and constant Qs. He can easily kill your barrels with his W but its very painful for him as he loses his important spell. The real problem starts when he gets prowlers and botrk as he can jump on you and oneshot before you can do the same to him. If he goes bruiser its free lane.
Cassiopeia
Never take long trades against her as she stomps you. Dont trade if she hits her Q. You can poke her hard with Q and barrels, and due to her slow autos its unlikely that she will lasthit them. You can W her ult stun and that hurst her.
Lillia
You are one of the best counters to her as its hard to kite you. Your Q spam with grasp hurst her, you shouldnt get ever hit with her W center as you can W her ultimate. The only problem with her is that its hard to land passive without barrels but you win even without using it too often. Prowlers destroy her.
Sion
Easy lane, he is easily kiteable and your passive reset true damage hurt him a lot. Avoid facechecing bushes and if you do bait his Q by sidestepping just after coming into its range, you pretty much want to do this to every unwarded bush with sions occurence propability. Dont ever get hit by his ult beacuse if you do youre dead and thats the only scenario where you die to him if you play it well and kite his abilities. Prowlers counter him hard beacuse you can go behind him when he charges his Q.
Jayce
This mf has very good damage early, he can jump on you and knock you back so you wont be able to apply your passive. Stay behind minions if he is in ranged form and avoid getting hit with his ranged Q, especially if it comes trough his E
Kennen
similar to akali matchup he has big lv6 powerspike, buy hexdrinker and he wont do anything, He is pretty squishy so if you hit some barrels and poke him you should be able to easily kill him. W his stun when he ults and insta auto him with passive
Urgot
I dont like the matchup beacuse its not very pleasant but you counter him a little bit. Dont fight if he has his passive on by your side, wait for him to use it on minions as it has 40sec cd early on. You counter his ult as you can just W out of his chains, and if he uses his W if you practice you can place a barrel between you and him, wait for him to shoot it 2 times and then lasthit it. Its not easy but if u manage to do that you have free barel + passive and his 2 hits from W goes to nothing per every barrel. Watch out for his E as you propably lose the trade if you get hit by it as an engage.
Pantheon
If u manage to survive to lv7 you pretty much won the lane. Be carefull tho as his damage early is massive and if ure not careful he can easily kill you. His ult is not combat one so in fights you have some advantage past6. try to place barrel underneath you and if he jumps on you, W the stun, destroy the barrel, passive and run away if you wont kill him.
Singed
Free, bros doesnt make any sense against your champion, poke him down with Q and barrels for free, the only thing that he can do is proxying but if ur junglers is on your side of the map you easily kill him. Slowpush into hist tower if he isnt proxying and harass him under his tower. He cant really farm.
Malzahar
You counter his main ability (R) with your W. he cant do much against you, if he has his shield just Q him but if possible track his passive cd so if its like 3sec before his shield popping up, Q him with pot, so the pot will take off his shield and his passive goes to nothing. He has no damage to kill you, his poke is pretty annoying, quarantine from infected minions and you should be okay.
Ryze
Idk where to place this one. It has been always a gp counter, as his movement speed and poke allows him to win trades and avoid your barrels easily, but he is so ****ty in the early game that i would place it in minor anyways. Poke him and let champ diff do the work
Quinn
Can be hard on lane, as you cant W her blind and access your Q or barrels if they are (and they propably are) out of its range. If you missplay she can kill you early on with ignite, but if u poke her safely she wont harm you. Her dash+knock up is very annoying but it gets A LOT easier after prowlers. Warn your midlaner as soon as she reaches lv6 and ping as soon as you lose vision on her, if he is an ape who doesnt listen to ss and he propably is if youre low elo then she will be super fed, but you will still be able to easily oneshot her late. Use her roams as "free farm and plates time", hardshove and make her regret roaming. Prepare your ult to help your teammates.
Vayne
I love this matchup, take grasp and absolutely destroy her, she is turbo squishy, has no sustain, no damage early and she is basically a caster minion for you. She can dodge your barrels with her Q but it shouldnt be a problem as you can kill her with Q only and flash+passive ignite when she has low hp. I dont think i ever played against vayne that left the lane not afk or had better stats than 0/5 even with her junglers help
Volibear
Dont let him double W you and you should be okay, the only moment where you can die is enemy jglers gank or his ult if you missplay. You can kite him like dog****, and come near him only to passive auto if he is not low enough to all in.
Gragas
I dont think this boi has much sense against you. Your barrels are better than his thats for sure and your poke is undodgeable unlike his. If he goes in with E just W his stun, burn his belly with passive and place a barrel as he has no constant damage so he needs to run and u will be ready to place another one and chase. The only problem with gragas is his ult that is very helpfull if you get ganked as its very easy ranged insec.
Heimerdinger
Dont trade with him early as his turrets are pretty sick, stay under the tower and take cs, if he ints and gets behind its free lane, if he doesnt wait for some items and lv7 and then you can **** him. Dont underestimate him as he is pretty tricky and can turn tables around during the trade if you dont pay attention.
Lux
She has annoying poke but she cant really burst you if you play around your W beacuse, you can get out of her stun and avoid getting ulted. Dont let her proc her passive too often, after prowlers you **** on her.
Sejuani
She isnt the easiest matchup but manageable, she also combines being tanky and having a decent damage but she cant compare to your barrels passive reset. She is very good at setting up ganks as she has 3 ccs and thats the main problem but if u play safe early on or at least watch enemy junglers route you should be fine. You **** on her late as you melt her with E and dominic armor pen and your true damage. Pretty skill matchup i would say, and that also means its snowbally.
Sylas
Idk why many gp players hate him so much. I ten to kill him lv3 as even if his kits is broken he is still a midlaner so he gets ****ed by most toplaners early. I never lost to him so idk what can i advise you when behind but keep in mind that he uses your ult better than you as it has ability scalling. Stay behind minions early as he can E you and its important for him to hit it to win the trade. If you place your barrels properly you will **** on him
Ornn
Dont stay next to his pillar or wall as he can easily win the short trade if he knocks you up. His W+auto damage is very impressive but he doesnt have any constant damage so play around his abilities cds. If we talk about pure combat you outscale him hard as you can melt his tankiness, but the problem is that he gives his carries free gold value with items upgrades.
Swain
You can easily kite him, he has no mobility so he is a piece of meat that you can poke with both barrels and Q. If you wont dodge his E, W asap and run away from his W, it has long cast time so you should be okay. His ult is very powerfull, but you can just passive auto him if he uses it, and kite him with barrels and bonus movement speed so it turns off after a while.
Kled
I didnt play a lot against kled but i stomped him every time, the main thing you need to do is play around his scarl bar, try to poke him to 55/60%hp and leave him on scarll, and then when you see an oportunity all him in with ignite. His whole kit is easily regenerating half of his hp with scarl but if you wont let him get down of his scarl and summon him again its taken from him making him useless.
Twisted Fate
If you dont play flex/clash with voicechat this champion is useless, he cant do anything alone and i do think that ad version is better, you will propably face ap tho so just W his yellow card and abuse the champ diff out of his ***, your Q hurst him a lot, and if u hit a barrel he isnt in a good spot. If he ults away prepare your ult to help the ulted ally and shove him.
Talon
Easy, talon players has 2lv syndrome, "me lv2 me go in", but if u manage to dodge second W and they cant apply their passive you **** on them, squishy melee, very easily abusable with your poke, barrels and passive. If he isnt behind he can oneshot you lv6 but you did something wrong or got hardcamped and
Syndra
She is squishy and inmobile so you can poke her easily, not much to say there, if she is level 6 and ure <40%hp recall as she can finish you off with ultimate.
Orianna
You will propably get ****ed early, she can poke you easily and shield your poke. Avoid getting oneshotted with her ult lv6. You stomp her after some time, not much to say there.
Teemo
His Q doesnt turn off your Q, his poke is pretty strong as he can aa+Q you when u only Q, but if u have sheen grasp and second wind you can match it. He has no sustain and he is also inmobile so you can easily destroy him with barrels. Never push the tower if there is any possibility that he is invis next to it as if u get caught in his trap youre dead.
Veigar
you **** him early, the more you dodge the easier it is. You can go through his cage with W. Even late its pretty hard to solo oneshot you as your barrels have more range than his ult, so you can oneshot him faster.
Lucian
Lucian mid/top in its prime was just a more lanebulling akshan, it countered gp very hard as he had very fast double autos and dashes that let him escape your barrels range. His kit didnt change by a lot and its still very good against gp, but the numbers are the problem beacuse after changes riot made him more scalling, less lane bully and more support dependent champ. It means that pretty much his kit is very good against you but the numbers are dog**** and he needs to play very well to abuse the kit advantage. Poke him with your Q and try to predict when will he dash on you so its easier to hit the barrel. Similar to akshan you can also time your auto between his 2 autos so you will lasthit it but its harder due to less time gap between shots.
Olaf
You can dominate him pre6 if u manage to zone him from minions and constantly poke him. Without minions he cant use his lifesteal and he is pretty squishy early. After 6 the problem starts, as you need to be very carefull and never go too far from your tower. Dont take long fights, go to melee range only if he is low or you want to passive him and run away. If he has ult orange his first axe and dont come close before you Wcd ends. He is very snowbally, if you give him one kill and he knows what is he doing your laning phase is done.
Vladimir
Bro is much easier on toplane as on mid u cant really punish him. I would say minor on top and major on mid. His damage is tiny early on and if you manage to kite him from getting hit by empowered Q you should stomp him. He can use his W to avoid your damage, but it costs him 1/5 of max hp + he is very easy to hit with your E after he leaves his pool state. The problem starts lategame as he can fight long trades with bonus cdr + the barrel W dodge gets massive value as your barrels deal much more. You should get a lead big enough to kill him anyways if u play it good tho
Shaco
In my opinion its a troll pick on top, all he can do is annoy you, you pretty much win every trade. If this mf is in the jungler and decide to camp you if ure not going to sweat over tracking his camp route on the map youre gonna get rough ****ed but we talk about toplane.
Lissandra
Pre6 poke her down and **** her as you wish, after 6 save your W for her ult not her W as its much more dangerous cc similar to malz ult. The biggest problem is that she can setupganks easily but she shouldnt be able to kill you on lane ever.
Karthus
He has very good dps but he wont be able to hit most of the Qs if your movement is good and you use W on his slow. He is squishy as ****, unmobile and his autos are propably the worst aa in the game so its very hard for him to win "lasthit the barrel" minigame with you. U may struggle early if he plays safe but mid/lategame you can just barrel him, then prowler+passive+Q and he should be dead by that time. Your barrels will make him use his passive a lot.
Janna
We talk about janna top, i dont think anybody plays it anymore, but if somebody will pick it into you its free lane. Gp countered her even when she had 56%wr and now its propably like 45%, if she goes for a roam you hardshove and gangplank really appreciate that. Before first back you win, after first back you completely **** on her and treat her as a roaming caster minion with cc.
Brand
His kit is weak against you but he has very good damage. Dodging is key, if possible dont stay near your minions as he can poke you freely with E. Dont underdestimate his past lv6 damage. If u know u will get hit by his EQ and its too late to dodge it you need to time W properly, i mean you need to use it before it actually lands so you can insta set yourself free and get off his W area. You should oneshot him after some time but he can do the same to you if u dont pay attention as even if he misses abilities his Eult alone can deal like 50% of your healthbar if the ult bounces to you several times and triggers passive. If u struggle and their team has a lot of ap dont hesitate to build hexdrinker.
Maokai
He was absolute dog**** against you befoer his buff/mini rework, and i think he still is but not as much as he got much stronger. The only problem with him is his sustain, his passive lets him heal with aa every now and then, and every spell you hit him with refreshes part of its cd, it counters gp as you would want to spam Qs so in this matchup focus on faming and dont braindead poke without rune stacked and opportunity to kill him soon. It gets better and better for you as his sustain doesnt matter when you hit some passive resets and barrels later on. Past7 is what you aim for to stomp this guy, dominic really helps.
Vel'Koz
His range if sick and if he spaces properly u wont be able to poke him a lot. Just dodge his Q and farm as much as you can, if he missplays and get caught lategame you **** on him as he is turbo squishy and wont be even able to stack his passive before his death. His ult is hard countered by prowlers if he uses it near you as you can dash through him and avoid getting damage. I think it might be minor counter but i do also think he can be very annoying.
Neeko
I think this champ is very underrated, she has very good amount of damage, W that works similar to lb passive but better, huge gamechanging ult and very good damaging ranged skill on Q. Fortunately her kit is orientated around her E stun and you can W it so she cant deal full Q damage. She is squishy and you like it, get sheen and you should be okay. Her empowered auto might be hard to outlasthit your barrel but if u take some practice it shouldnt be a big problem.
Akali
There is a huge difference between laning against akali, and playing against akali on other lane. If you lane against akali its very easy, she lacks constant damage as her spells use a big amount of energy, and her E is countered by your E as you can just place a barrel underneath you and wait for her to dash on it. The problem is when akali gets lv6, but to this moment you should be ahead already so she cant oneshot you, if u arent rush hexdrinker asap and you will be good. The situation is much harder if you are for example top, and fed akali comes to you from mid, nonprepared and not being able to abuse her poor laning you will propably die or at leasth have hard time outplaying her. We talk about laning counters tho so i placed her in minor tier.
Mordekaiser
Very easy matchup as your kit counters him hard. The only way for him to do something to you is with his E, if you get hit by it u wont have a great time but its easy to dodge and it has a long cd so play around it. Early on focus on farming and dont stay in Q range, He cant do anything to your poke if you do it wisely, he is very good at 1v1 at close range but after 7lvl you can kite him hard. Save W for his ult as it just lets you out, past6 if you want to heal use your W only when he cant go in so u wont get ulted with cd on it.
Tahm Kench
Your kit counters him, the problem is that his numbers are sick and you have no way of killing him early. Play safe, dont get licked or knocked up and you should be fine, if he uses the "jump from the floor" ability place barrel on the place where he will jump out. You can kill him past lv7 if you play smart and after dominics and lv13 he is just free kill if not turbo fed. The key to dueling him is reseting your passive as the true damage hurts him a lot, the fact that you can W out of his ult is also very helpful but you will still take some damage and he will displace you.
K'Sante
I dont know the champion yet but i played couple times vs him and i dont think its a hard matchup, his cc is very strong, and if you get by his charged Q you will propably lose trade, but its very easy to dodge though. Be carefull if you are harassing him next to his tower as his insec potential is insane with or without ult, he cant really kill you in his tank form, as his damage sucks there, his ult form is you threat but if you manage to harass him enough he wont be able to all in you due to hp diff and you will win anyways. Remember to avoid staying next to river side walls as he can teleport you to his jungler or just outside the lane where you are not as strong
Yuumi
