Threats & Synergies
Any champ with a hook is a massive threat to Yuumi as it makes proccing your P and also escape very hard. Leona is able to hook you through minions unlike champions like thresh, Pyke etc. Always wait for them to use there hook before attempting to procc shield. Take E first against any champ with a hook they most often than not will get your ADC low before lvl 2, this gives you the sustain needed.
Due to most of Taliyah's abilities being a form of CC this makes it very hard for Yuumi to W from ally to ally as it will stop her mid air.
Due to morganas snare she is a massive threat along with her shield she can apply to allies it can make hitting your Q and R very difficult. If you can avoid her snare you are okay but the safest play is to only detach when you know it is on cooldown
Mordekaiser past level 6 is a major threat due to his ult. If he catches you detached and ults you its a easy kill for him. Though he can also ult who you are attached to during a team fighting meaning you are dropped in the middle of it and most likely going to die.
Nautilus is a massive threat due to being able to hook over walls and his first auto rooting. Always wait for them to use there hook before attempting to procc shield. Lux root can be a pretty bad threat due to it hitting the first two targets meaning you have to stand behind two minions not just one.
Due to his high damage and CC Aatrox can be a big threat.
The only threat Ahri mainly has is her charm. If you avoid that there is not much of a threat
Akali has to much move speed and can become fed to easy. This can cause her to kill your attached ally to easy and make it impossible for you to flee
Due to his move speed, aimed ult and ability to dive tower Akshan is a extrema threat.
The only threat Alistar has to Yuumi is charging at you which is a form of CC. If you wait for him to do this before detaching for any reason then he is no longer a threat.
Due to the amount of Stuns Amumu has he is a major threat. Nevr detach around a Amumu for any reason
The only threat Anivia has is her slow, if you wait for that to be used you are safe. You can also heal your ally while they are in there egg form meaning they will be full health when she resurrects.
Annie is a minor threat as she has no CC, the only threat is having tibbers spawned on top of you. If you are aware of her ult cooldown and make sure to not be caught out by that she is no threat.
Aphelios biggest threat to yuumi is the Purple gun it applies slow. Once slowed her Q will root you. if you dont hop off while that is in use you are safe other wise.
Ashe is little to no threat as her only cc is a slow. If you do not get hit by the slow you are safe.
Due to his speed and amounts of CC Aurelion sol is a massive threat. Try not to detach around him ever.
Azir only has one slow other than that his shield can make hitting your auto and Q hard. His only other threat is his R which is a knock up, do not attach during his ult, this a very visually easy ult to see so should not be hard to miss and be unaware of happening.
The only threat Bard has is proccing the root from his Q. If you make sure to not stand near any other targets (minons, terrain, allys) his Q will not procc a root.
Blitz is a massive threat due to his E causing knock up when he attacks you in anyway and also due to being able to hook over walls. Always wait for them to use there hook before attempting to procc shield. Brand is a big danger to your ADC early laning phase as he hjas to much poke and damage, focus on healing them. The only threat he has to yuumi is burn damage so make sure to not detach while low health as you will still die from burn damage once you reattach
Braum has a slow and knock up but apart form that he is very little of a threat. Due to his slow move speed it is very easy to escape him if you are detached as long as you avoid his Q
The only threat Caitlyn has is her traps, if you make sure to not be caught in one she is not a threat. You can also block her R on allys by attaching to them and detaching just as it reaches them
The only threat Camille has is her movement speed and mobility.
Due to her slow and stun she is a major threat. She is also a major threat due to het poison damage which will continue to damage you once you W.
Cho'Gath has a silence, knock up and execute making him a major threat to yuumi
Due to his slow and burn damage Corki can be a major threat. Making it hard for you to escape and also still burning once you attach to a ally.
Darius is a extreme threat due to his pull and other CC. Also due to his bleed which will still effect you when you attach to a allyi.
The only threat Diana has is her R which pulls in all near by enemies.
Dr mundo can become immune to Yuumi's R, has a slow and is extremely tankie
Draven has very minimal CC though if played correct by someone that knows him well can be a danger to anyone.
Ekko has a slow & stun while also having a lot of escape and move speed. This makes it hard to escape him if you are caught detached while also meaning if your ally dies he can easily stun you to place W on cooldown stopping your escape.
Elise only has one stun, the only other threat she has is high move speed during her spider form
Evelynn has many forms of cc and move speed. Stuns, slows, blinks etc. Try not to detach for any reason if you can not see her on map.
Ezeral is a minor threat as his abilities are easy for Yuumi to dodge using he W and he has no form of CC. Though he can burst damage very easily.
Fiddlesticks can slow and fear making him a extreme threat to Yuumi. He can also blink making escaping him harder
Fiora only has one ability that can apply CC (Her W) to make fighting her easier wait for this ability to be used before detaching for any reason.
Fizz can only slow and stun using his E or R. Other than this he may catch up to you easy by using his E.
Galio has a taunt and two knock ups. His only ability that will not CC you is his Q.
Gangplank only has a slow applied by his R. Other than this he is not a threat if you avoid his barrels. Though he can escape Yuumis R using his W
Garen has one slow, making him a minor threat.
Gnar has stunss, slows and a knock away making him very hard to procc your passive around and also escape if your attached ally dies.
Gragus has many forms of CC making him very hard to procc your passive around and also escape if your attached ally dies.
Graves has one slow and a dash making him a minor threat
Gwen only has one slow making her a very minor threat,
Hecarim has high move speed and high amounts of CC
Heimerdinger only has 1 stun though due to his turrets he can easily catch Yuumi of guard and kill you very quickly. As long as you are aware and do not let him get you surrounded by turrets he is not much of a threat
Illaoi only has one slow making her a very small threat unless she gets you with her E as this can still damage you once you re attach. Try to only detach when you know this is on cooldown.
Irelia has very little CC though can output high amount of damage in a short period of time.
Ivern only has one Slow which comes from the explosion of his shield. His shield can be placed on himself, Daisy & his allies. The only other threat is Daisy as she can tank damage for him & Allies and also so damage to you.
Janna has many forms of CC and is a major threat to Yuumi. Do not detach or roam on your own if Janna is not on map or is close to you.
Jax has a stun and can dash to you making him a threat but only when he has them, Try to keep track of these cooldowns.
Jayce has s slow and pull but apart from that he is a minor threat as they are easy to avoid
The only form of CC Jhin has is his W which he can only procc if you have been hit with any other form of damage from his allies recently. The only other threat he has is his R though if you can hop onto a ally you are safe.
Jinx only has one form of CC (her traps) though she can easily burst you due to her attack speed

This is Yuumi's Passive, when off cooldown hitting an enemy champion with an ability or a basic attack will heal her or an ally if she attaches to them within 4 seconds of proccing her passive. While her passive is off cooldownm Yuumi'snext basic attack gains 50 bonus range and has an uncancelable windup making it easier to procc using a basic attack.
While attached to an ally Yuumi grants them 2 permanent Friendship Stacks whenever they kill a enemy champion or minions. The ally with the most Friendship Stacks becomes Yuumi's bestfriend, this empowers her abilites with additonal effects while she is attached to them.
Prowling Projectile Q:
This is Yuumi's main damage & the second way to procc the heal from her passive. Yuumi shoots a missile in the target direction that deals magic damage to the first enemy hit. If the target is a champion, they are also revealed and slowed by 20% for 1 second. If Yuumi uses this ability while attached to a champion she can steer the missile for a short period of time after that the missile accelerates in its current direction to deal increased damage and apply a stronger slow against champions that decays to 20% over 2 seconds.
Best Friend Bonus Q:
Prowling Projectile always applies its enhanced slow against champions and hitting a champion grants her Best Friend bonus magic damage on-hit for 5 seconds, increased by 0% − 75% based on your attached allies critical strike chance.
You and Me! W: This is Yuumi's way to attach to allies, Yuumi can hop between allies as often as she wants with out any cool down, if you hop to the ground You and Me! will be on cooldown. Any immobilizing effects cause W to go on a 5 second cooldown. While in team fights try to focus on your Best Friend as to procc the additonal effects. While attached Yuumi is untargetable, though can still die if any form of tic damage has been applied like poision or ignite. While hopping onto an ally Yuumi can be knocked out the air if any form of crowd control hits her.
Best Friend Bonus W:
Yuumi gains heal and shield power if attached to her Best Friend scailing with their level while her Best Friend gains healing on hit.
Zoomies E: This is Yuumi's shield, Yuumi grants herself a shield and gains bonus attack speed for 3 seconds, she also grants herself movement speed while the sheild is active. If Yuumi attaches to a ally these buffs will be applied to the ally instead of Yuumi. Additionally, she will restore mana to the ally based on the allies missing mana.
Final Chapter R: This is Yuumi's ultimate, it channels for 3.5 seconds shooting 5 waves in the target direction. Yuumi can steer the direction of the waves if initially cast while attached. Detaching causes her to lose this bonus for the duration of the ability. Allied champions hit by waves are healed, with each heal beyond their max health being converted into a shield. Enimes hit by waves take magic damage and are slowed by 10% for 1.25 seconds. This stacks and refreshes on subsequent hits, up to an effectiveness of 50%. Subsequent waves on enemies hit deal 25% damage.
Best Friend Bonus R:
Final Chapter's heal to the Best Friend is increased by 130%.
This build will scale the best in the current patch allowing for high amount of healing & shielding. It will also buff your allies the most allowing for both you & your team to snowball. It is also very cheap build compared to the other ones listed.
Heal & Shiled
Yuumi is made to scale with Heal & Shield items making this the "normal" build for her. This is also the cheapest build as it is made up support items which are cheaper as supports have less gold due to not killing minions. This build is the safest option as 99% of the time going to be able to afford it and it will always work well.
Full Ability Power
Though Yuumi is a enchanter meaning she scales with Heal & Shield power and her abilities scale with Ability Power. This means that when building AP you will scale your healing, shielding, and damage. The downside of this build is that it is more expensive so during difficult games you can fall behind fast if you are not earning enough gold.
Building boots is not a traditional thing to do on Yuumi Though Since Yuumi's rework Pro's & High Elo players have been building boots on her!
Ionian Boots of Lucidity: Build these to lower the cooldown of her passive as to be able to use the heal from it more often, it also helps with giving a little more movement speed as Zoomies does not give as much movement speed as it used to pre rework.
Sorcerer's Shoes: These are best for the magic penetration when building her full ability power as you are scaling into damage with this build.
Berserker's Greaves: These are best when building full attack speed.
Shurelya's Battlesong:This is the best mythic to build in my opinion right now. It gives bonus move speed that has been lost since the Yuumi Rework.
Moonstone Renewer: This is a good replacment mythic if you feel you need more healing for multiple allyies than engage.
Echoes of Helia: This is the best option to build if you are a more agressive enchanter and want to be able to mass heal one ally.
Everfrost This is best to build of a full AP build, it also is very good if you need some extra crowd control as it is easy to hit while attached to a ally.
Navori Quickblades: This is best when builing attack speed, it works by reducing the cooldown on your sheild which is needed for this build to work.
Void Staff: This items is the best option for a ability power scaling shampion to take as Anti Tank.
Chemtech Putrifier: As a enchater support this is the best anti heal item you can take.
Knight's Vow: Is useful for giving extra sustain to your hard carry but is only worth it if someone is hyper carrying the game.
Mikael's Blessing: Good for playing against crowd control heavy teams.
Mejai's Soulstealer: If you are expecting a really good game and want to heal for more and do more damage this is a good item to take early game. Taking dark seal on your first back, building mythic then Mejai's.
Redemption: This item is great for extended team fights & also helping out allies that are to far away from you. If you are finding there is a ally that keeps dying before the team can get to them or you need just a little more AOE healing this is a great pick.
Mortal Reminder: This is anti heal for the attack speed build only.
If your ADC is loosing lane the best thing to do is play safe and make it out of laning phase. Once you are out of laning phase, go to whoever is carrying your game or the jungler to help with ganks. Though this can mean you are no longer proccing your Best Friend Bonus as you will need to give it time to move onto the ally you are now with. This means sometimes it is better to stay with your ADC and ask for help from your allies.
Building Mikael's Blessing allows you to remove CC from your self and allies and can be a life saver in needed situations.
At the start of the game take your Control Ward and take it to the buff your jungler is not taking, this allows them to know if they are being invaded. Once you have done that head to your jungler and place a Stealth Ward in pixel bush or tri bush to allow vision as they take their first camp.
If you are red side of the map & your jungler is starting at blue buff, you can also place your Stealth Ward over the dragon pit wall into the bush.
You can also use You and Me! to jump on your jungler to bot side buff and place a Stealth Ward in tri bush or pixel bush depending on where they dont place one. Keeping your Control Ward for jungle bush when you go to lane or to deny vision if the enemy team ward or attempt to invade.
On your first back exchange your Stealth Ward for Oracle Lens and buy 1-2 Control Wards this will allow you to set up for first drake.
While attached to a ally you can still use Oracle Lens and place wards this is useful to know.
It is best to be on your Best Friend as to procc your Best Friend Bonus. Your ADC is most likely going to be your Best Friend, though sometimes situations call for you to leave them.
During laning phase if your ADC has left for any reason and you are not needed in lane, you can leave to either make a solo lane 2v1 or go to your jungler and help them with a gank until you are needed back in lane. While doing this, you need to be aware of your own lane, how the wave is doing and what the enemy ADC & Support are doing as you do not want them getting uncontested minions or taking tower. Along with this, an empty bot lane also allows them to roam so learning wave control to stop them from doiong this is important.
After laning phase the best person to go to is either the ally whoever is carrying or a lane that needs help (though if helping them will end up in you dying it is not worth it and you should go back to the carry). You can also go on the jungler if they are doing well to help with ganks, objectives and vision control.
During team fights you want to be on the carry for the most part though you do want to hop from person to person healing, keeping your team alive. Never go on a ally who has a ability that makes them invunruable as your time could be better spent healing other allies.
Mordekaiser is also a good ban due to playing with or against one can be a danger due to how his ultimate Realm Of Death works. If he catches you detached and uses his ultimate Realm Of Death on you it is an easy kill for him. Though he can also use his ultimate Realm Of Death on who you are attached to during a team fight meaning you are dropped in the middle of it and most likely going to die. On the other hand, if he is on your team being attached to him once he is past lvl 6 is very risky for Yuumi. While you can give sustain and use your Final Chapter to allow him to get kills very easily, as soon as Mordekaiser uses his ultimate Realm Of Death Yuumi will detach leaving you in a possible vulnerable position with no ally to jump to.
Taliyah is also a good ban due to most of her abilites being a form of crowd control. This can make it very hard for Yuumi to You and Me! to allies as it will stop her mid-air and put You and Me! on cooldown.
. Yuumi can use Everfrost while attached to an ally. This can be a great follow up to Final Chapter or can be used while Final Chapter is in effect to root enemies who have managed to avoid it or have just arrived.
. If you are using Summon Aery pay attention to where it is at all times and its cooldown so you can heal for more and buff you ally more often.
. Summon Aery proccs items like Ardent Censer & Staff of Flowing Water.
. Yuumi turns invisible when attached to allies who are invisible. For example, Twitch , Evelynn , Shaco & Akshan.
. Yuumi can use Everfrost while Kayn is using his ultimate on someone rooting them in place.
. Yuumi use Zoomies while Kayn is using his ultimate on someone just before he comes out of it to shield him.
. Kassadin does not gain stacks on Force Pulse from Yuumi casting abilities while she is attached to a ally.
. You and Me! does not count as an ability activation for the purposes of on-cast effects such as Sheen Spellblade.
. Yuumi can channel Eye of the Herald while attched.
. Jungle monsters agression transfers to the ally Yuumi attaches to.
. Yuumi will detach if you use Guardian Angel or Teleport but not if you use Zhonya's Hourglass, in this case she can still use her abilities.
. The summoner spell Heal scales with Heal & Shield Power
. The summoner spell Heal halfs all other heals applied for a 35s after use
CS - Creep Score, this is how many minions you have killed.
Procc - To cause a special event to occur aka items, runes etc.
Tic Damage - This is damage over time like burn & poision.
CC - Crowd Control, This is abilites that stop you from doing something like Roots & Stuns.
Roam - Leaving lane to go somewhere else for a period of time
Jungle Bush - This is the bush at the edge of river at bot & Top lane
Pixel Bush - This is the small bush as your enter river from mid lane
Mid bush - This is the long bushes at the start of river on both sides of mid lane
Tri bush - This is any bush on map that has 3 paths conected to it
. Crowd control is a massive counter, Keep track of enemies cooldowns and uses.
. Mana is a massive issue early game.
. Dont stray too far on your own, you always want to be able to You and Me! back to a ally in an emergency.
. Focus on proccing Feline Friendship's heals.
. Play laning phase safe and focus on getting your ADC ahead.
. Play on who is carrying as to make them stronger.
. Keep who your Best Friend is into account.
. Mordekaiser is a bad ally and big counter.
