One of the hardest mid laners to play against if you are not well adapt at playing Katarina. Try to stay safe and get good trades in early game with cheese or else she will outscale you late game almost every time.

Akali

Even

Has incredibly high burst post 6 but early game you should be able to win with a gank or two.

Anivia

Extreme

Absolute horrible lane to play against. Anivia has high burst if she hits a stun so just focus on csing with q and using your e to get out of sticky situations.

Annie

Extreme

Hands down the hardest lane for Kat pre and post level 6. Annie has high burst throughout the whole game and if you get put behind, don't expect to be able to kill her even if she doesn't have stun up.

Aurelion Sol

Tiny

After level 2 or 3, the lane gets extremely easy as when you e on top of him, his balls can't hit you.

Azir

Major

He outranges you with his soldiers and generally takes exhaust so even if you come close to him he can just turn around and kill you. Try to get a jungle gank or you probably won't win lane.

Cassiopeia

Major

Hard lane with the constant pressure and usually takes exhaust. Get a gank from your jungler once or twice early and you should be fine up until late game.

Cho'Gath

Even

Not the hardest in lane if you time your e to dodge his q and silence but late game he get's so tanky you can't really go in on him.

Diana

Minor

Easy early game with the e resets but gets somewhat tanky late game and can burst you down real quick.

Ekko

Major

Hard early game due to pure out damaging you but it's possible to beat him. Late game is impossible to beat in a 1v1 because you'll get him low and he'll just ult away.

Ezreal

Tiny

Not seen often but really squishy mid laner and shouldn't be an issue to kill at any point in the game.

Fizz

Extreme

High burst damage and invulnerability from his e ****s Kat really hard. Can't really one shot him unless you dodge his damage and manage to bait out his e.

Gangplank

Tiny

By far one of the easiest lanes you'll have. Just e to his barrels and kill them then kill him right after. He's squishy and is immobile af.

Heimerdinger

Even

Not seen often but can be a pain to deal with because of his turrents doing constant damage to you if you go in.

Jayce

Major

Hard lane early with his ability to push you away if you try and go in and he'll poke you down late game without getting close for you to jump on him.

Karma

Even

Eh lane. She is capable of doing burst but as long as you dodge her q's you'll be fine.

Karthus

Minor

Not played much but is not that big of an issue as long as you can dodge most of his q's.

Kassadin

Major

Real pain in the *** early and late game. Not very fun to lane against even with ganks from your jungler and will stomp you late game with a lead.

Kayle

Major

Very difficult to lane against due to her strong damage output and she will most likely always win trades unless you can one shot her.

Kennen

Even

Is a generally easy laner if you dodge his q's but can outscale you late game with his high burst damage.

LeBlanc

Extreme

Hard af lane. She hits you with one combo and you're down by half hp even early game.

Lissandra

Minor

Very uncommon pick but is really easy early game, you'll just straight up out damage her with your combo.

Lulu

Major

Her polymorph is a HUGE pain and can pretty much lead to death every time if you go in and she casts it on you.

Lux

Even

Easy to beat in lane as long as you dodge her q which shouldn't be an issue with your e.

Malzahar

Extreme

Not seen much in mid but is one of the hardest matchups as you will generally face a 1 trick if he's being played.

Morgana

Tiny

Easy lane, dodge her q's and out damage her with your combo.

Orianna

Extreme

Hard lane with her being ranged and having the upper hand on you in almost every situation especially if she takes exhaust. Even with a jungle gank she might be hard to take out.

Pantheon

Extreme

Ties with annie in difficulty for laning. There is a 0% chance of beating him in a 1v1 unless he literally has brain damage and the only thing you can hope for is to hold out to late game when he falls off.

Ryze

Tiny

Extremely easy to beat as you will simply outdamage him with your combo past level 3.

Swain

Even

Tough late game because he doesn't really die unless you have someone helping you however, his early game is not that bad.

Syndra

Minor

Tough **** early with her balls keeping you away from minions but you can dodge over her stun with your e and kill her fast.

Taliyah

Tiny

Not that bad as you can simply dash away to dodge her whole combo pretty much at any point in the game.

Talon

Extreme

Tough lane with his burst damage and he will almost always one shot you before you can one **** him late game. Don't try to 1v1 him unless you're confident you can combo him fast enough.

Twisted Fate

Major

Stun can be super annoying and he'll kill you late game with his stun engage for his team to follow up.

Veigar

Minor

Not at all an issue as you can easily jump out of his stun so you'll just burst him before he can to you.

Vel'Koz

Tiny

Easy with your jump to dodge his knockback and you can easily maneuver around his q and w with some practice.

Viktor

Major

Hard lane with his burst-y kit and will destroy you late game with his ultimate and e that will pretty much one shot you alone.

Vladimir

Major

If you don't manage to kill him before he gets his pool you can basically kiss your chances of winning lane goodbye unless your jungler hits you up.

Xerath

Even

Watch out for big scripter!! Real talk though he's a tough one with the amount of abilities he can shoot out at you in a short time but you can kill him if you get the jump off.

Yasuo

Even

Kinda a skill matchup as mostly it'll be a one trick Yas. Whoever is better at their champion will win most of the time.

Zed

Minor

Once you get Zhonya's you basically win vs him. Just defend your carry from getting one shot.

Ziggs

Major

Painful with his q's and w's. They constantly put pressure on you and you can only really hope to tower farm.

Zilean

Extreme

Hard to deal with due to his damage from his bombs early and late game. If you get stunned then you will most likely be killed. Try to dodge around his q's and you won't really get much out of a gank either because he'll just run.
