+ Long ranged poke + AoE snare + AoE slow + Unbelieviable damage + Unpredictable damage + AP damage. Varus is all about dealing damage. |
Varus is a perfect pick for the teams which looking for siege and poke. With lethality buffs in the patch 7.3, he's really unstoppable. If you can get Youmuu's Ghostblade about min 10, you'll dominate the game.

As Varus, you'll want to deal damage from the longest distance you can or you'll be dead. Active your Edge of Night as much as you can.

Runes
Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist instead of Glyph of Magic Resist if enemy doesn't have a poke support. Don't take Glyph of Mana Regeneration if you'll play safe. Don't take Glyph of Magic Resist if you have an easy match-up. Take Glyph of Mana Regeneration for all glyphs. (Don't do this if enemy team has an APC with really big damage like Syndra, Orianna, Katarina, Ziggs etc.)
