[8.1] Finally updated runes for this build, items should still work as they are abusing the early damage of Blitzcrank and since he dominates pre-25 minute games by catching people out, he is less of an issue playing now since games end fast and he can snowball and help end quick and not have his weak late game exposed!

P.S. You can take Celerity instead of Transcendence because Celerity works really well with his W Overdrive. If you do not think you can be aggressive in lane, take the 3rd set of runes I give for surviving lane and making it to mid-game where you can get picks for your team! Also, you can take Grasp of the Undying if you still want to go defensive in lane but trade and go for kills, Aftershock is just the better defensive rune choice as well as going Celerity since you will be focusing on roaming to help give other people advantages since your lane is too hard.

Hi everyone, I'm Jeff_Curry in Plat/Diamond Elo in NA and have really enjoyed doing theorycrafting builds for awhile and finding out what actually works. This is my first guide here so be gentle (Kappa). I main Top/Jg so whenever I find something new to try and see that it works I want to let others know. This Blitzcrank build is inspired by a EUW Diamond player, Prim0, who mains Blitz in the top lane and abuses his high early game damage and aims to win lane and roam mid a lot! Playing around Blitz's passive lets you win fights they do not expect you to win and gives you some deceptive survivability to ganks!

P.S. Please practice this build before trying it out in a serious game, always hard playing a new champ/build in a try hard ranked game!

I prefer taking Fervor of Battle over Prim0's favorite of Grasp of the Undying because has higher dps for the cheesy kill in lane from Blitz's high base damage and Overdrive giving him an attack speed steroid. Prim0 prefers Grasp of the Undying because it gives him better survivability because he spends most of his games farming under tower and being dove so it helps him with surviving that 2 vs 1 situation and usually getting a kill without dying. So this is up to preference!

I've listed the normal AD top lane rune page, but if you have extra rune pages you can consider taking more armor instead of MR blues in one page and then a page with health yellows instead of armor.

This helps you prepare for the different top laners you could face and help win lane since this build is all about winning early/mid game.

P.S. You can try replacing attack speed quints with more AD to abuse Power Fist as it does double the damage of your AA if you wanted to focus on shorter trades in lane.

Prim0 rushes mana items because he likes to abuse Mana Barrier since a lot of people forget about it and it leads to him getting easy kills. We rush Tear of the Goddess to start stacking the mana and allow you to have mana in lane. However, we finish Iceborn Gauntlet first for the tank stats and the cdr. Then Manamune for a big jump in AD and Phantom Dancer to help with 1 vs 1 scenarios. After that I list Abyssal Mask and Thornmail as my preferred tank options but it depends on the situation!
