Champion Build Guide

Hey ! I'm Pigeon IRL, I'm french and this is my first guide ! Since I'm not english I apologize for spelling mistakes. I'm currently a Platinium player starting playing in pre-season 5 with a bronze level.
I like to play every roles but mainly Mid and Jungle, and I played Shaco a lot in the jungle and as a support.

Why in the hell would you play Shaco support ?
This is the most common question I get and it isn't a bad one because if you don't know why you can't understand how to play it.

The first reason is that it is really fun to play ! And this is important since if you enjoy playing your champion you will play better.

Shaco is really annoying to play against and the ennemies will hate you since you can control the bushes in lane but also avoid ganks thanks to your boxes.

You can disengage easily as I said but you can also all in and poke ... To make short : Shaco support is polyvalent ! And that's why you can adapt very well to the matchup.

And finally, people underestimate your pick and don't know how to play against you making it easier to win.

KEYSTONE
Dark Harvest: It is the best rune on Shaco (support) because you can easily stack it in lane with your E and helps you to execute low life opponents.

MAJOR RUNE
Sudden Impact: Since you will use your Q very often, this rune is perfect to help you to make a good burst. As you probably noticed your E and your passive deal good AD damage and this rune gives both magic penetration and lethality !

MAJOR RUNE
Eyeball Collection: Great rune to get some bonus AP, I find it more useful than Ghost Poro because you already have vision with boxes.

MAJOR RUNE
Ingenious Hunter: This is a very important rune because it is the reason you will go for Everfrost and Redemption ! The CDR this rune gives will allow you to literally spam your Everfrost and use more often the Redemption which can make huge pressure on ennemies.

MINOR RUNE
Nimbus Cloak: It will basically allows you either to escape from a bad situation or make your clone go faster and so exploding him on ennemies more easily.

MINOR RUNE
Transcendence: With this rune you will gain a lot of AP because almost every items have CDR and our runes have CDR which is worth Absolute Focus because we have a constant 40 AP bonus (up to 60 AP with Shurelya's Battlesong)

What you need to understand is that with this playstyle you want to get cheap and useful items. And that's because as a support you don't get so much gold in the game but you need to snowball asap because support is all about early and mid game.

Sorcerer's shoes
We want this item for the Magic Penetration it provides, so that we deal a lot more damage since this build is AP based. Alternatively I used to pick but since we have enough CDR with items and runes it isn't worth it.

Hextech GLP-800
This is the first item we aim for, it provides some AP, mana and CDR : all what we need. When building it, it is also interesting to get for its passive. The main reason we build it is for its active that you can spam since you have item CDR and it allows you to : avoid ennemies chasing you, chase ennemies or engage them more easily and stack without exposing yourself.

Mejai's Soulstealer
As I explained in the build's notes, if you stacked well your I recommend you to upgrade it before going for since the item is really cheap and can give you loads of AP.

Redemption
First of all I advice you to take some if you can't afford other items (up to 3 : 2 for and 1 for ). The reason why I take is because if you are not well in lane and feel a bit useless this item will help you to make more impact, also as we enter in mid/late game, teamfights are starting and a good can save a lost teamfight !

Rabadon's Deathcap
For your final item this is in most cases the best item you can go for since it will boost your damage a lot.

Morellonomicon
If there is a lot of healing in the ennemy team opt for this item because of the grevious wound effect you get from passive.

The spell to upgrade first is of course your Ultimate.

Level 1 you need to go for your W because you can cheese : put your first box at 0:29 on your allied buff to help the jungler and then put boxes where you think ennemies will walk when they arrive on the lane (bot tribush for example).

I prefer maxing Q since it makes the invisibility longer making the lane safer, but you can also put 3 points on Q and then starting maxing W.

As you saw I don't max E because I think the invisibility time and damage from boxes are more important.
