Hi!
I'm Coocon, I play on EUNE. I started playing League in Season 6. I first time played Syndra in 2016 when she was in free champion rotation. When I played her I felt that's a champ that feels good in my hands. And since then I was playing her a lot. She's my main and now I've got 7 lvl on her and over 250k.
Besides her, I also play Lux, Evelynn, Katarina and Warwick.

Syndra is high damage, burst midlane Mage with big kill potential after reaching 6 lvl. Her CCs (W and E combined with Q) give her big influence on team-fights. She's a good chmapion either in low and high elo. She has AOE slow, long range stun that can hit few enemies and a single target burst damgage.




Pros:



+ big damage
+ your E can stun many enemies
+ big AoE damage
+ quite good AP scaling
+ buff stealer/defender

Cons:



- squishy
- if you don't have your E she's really easy to kill while enemy is ganking/diving
- slow even with boots




Passive ~ Transcendent - Spells gain extra effects at max rank.

Q ~ Dark Sphere - Syndra conjures a Dark Sphere dealing magic damage.

W ~ Force of Will - Syndra picks up Dark Sphere, enemy minion or non-epic monster and throws it dealing magic damage and slowing the Movement Speed of enemies.

E ~ Scatter the Weak - Syndra knocks enemies and Dark Spheres back dealing magic damage. Enemies hit by Dark Spheres become stunned.

R ~ Unleashed Power - Syndra bombards an enemy Champion with all of her Dark Spheres.

For main path you take Domination with Electrocute. It works like good ol' Thunderlord's Decree which was taken on Syndra before runes rework. Next you take Cheap Shot which combines with your QE combo or Taste of Blood for sustain. Then you pick Eyeball Collection for snowball. Last one for Domination is Relentless Hunter for better roaming or Ravenous Hunter for sustain. If you are starting playing Syndra on mid, I recommend you taking Taste of Blood and Ravenous Hunter, but if you konw what to do take Cheap Shot and Relentless Hunter.

Next path depands on your game style and matchup.
You can play:

Sorcery Manaflow Band, Gathering Storm, Absolute Focus
Manaflow Band gives you better mana regen that Syndra really needs and Gathering Storm provides late game scaling which combines with her passive. You can also choose Absolute Focus (mainly instead of Manaflow Band) if you want some free AP.


Inspiration Perfect Timing, Future's Market,
Cosmic Insight
You can take it vs Fizz, Ekko and Zed when it is possible that you'll need some help from runes

You can also try out poke build - Arcane Comet, it's good vs some Assassin s


Precision Triumph or Presence of Mind and Coup de Grace
This tree isn't a popular option, but it's also viable. Coup de Grace gives you bigger execution potential on R and Triumph some after-kill healing.

Domination Cheap Shot or Taste of Blood and Relentless Hunter or Ravenous Hunter
Little true damage or some healing from Cheap Shot/ Taste of Blood and some movement speed or healing (again) from Relentless Hunter/ Ravenous Hunter is pretty good option for Syndra. (It's 2nd rune tree for Arcane Comet rune page)



Flash - The best summoner spell. Take it always.


Ignite - Ignites enemy dealing true damage and applying Grievous Wounds for duration. It's really good summoner on Syndra matchups in which you feel good. I wouldn't use it vs champs that can burst you down.


Barrier - Gives you shield that lasts 2 sec. Take it vs enemies thta probably will have ignite and and high kill potential.


Exhaust - Good option vs assassins. Take it mostly vs AD ones. It reduces their damage by 40% and MS for 2.5 sec.


Cleanse - Good summoner vs massive CC team like Cassiopeia and Sejuani. It removes the CC that's already on you and decreases incoming ones.


Heal - Heals and gives speed boost you and ally that is nearest to cursor. It's no longer a good summoner on mid because of the popularity of Ignite so I wouldn't recommend it right now.


Luden's Echo - AP, CDR, Mana and pushing power. Everything that Syndra needs. It's gonna be your first item, that you want to get asap. When you're playing vs assassins it can be replaced with Archangel's Staff.


Archangel's Staff - Substitute for Luden's Echo. You can take it when you want better late game, but you have to sacrifice your early game. When fully stacked it will give you 88 AP more than Luden's and 800 more mana. Also, the shield it gives is really good vs burst.


Sorcerer's Shoes - Best boots option in most cases. Additional MS that Syndra really needs + flat MP is great for early/mid fights when most of enemies won't have MR. Buy it before 2nd item.


Void Staff - 40% of MR is great for dealing with mid game tanks. Buy this item when enemy team doesn't have healing champs like Vladimir or Soraka. Changeable wih Morellonomicon.


Morellonomicon - Your second item when you are playing against healing champions/teamcomps (ect. Soraka, Darius, Vladimir). Gives you flat pen and Grievous Wounds (effect that reduces healing by 40%). Changeable with Void Staff.


Rabadon's Deathcap - Best item option for most if not all Mage s. Increases your AP and gives you a lot of it. It's gonna be your third or second item.


Zhonya's Hourglass - Anti-assassin item. Gives armor, some AP and active Stasis effect. After activating it makes you invulnerable and untargetable for 2.5 seconds. Its minus is that you are unable to move when it's active.
psst, hey kid, you can deny Zed's Death Mark by using it (mark itself and damage)


Mejai's Soulstealer - really, REALLY, R E A L L Y greedy item. You should buy it only when you see that enemy laner is bad and you already have some kills



Q → E → AA - Easy way to poke your enemy and proc Electrocute. It's basic pattern on Syndra that you'll want to use most of the time in lane.



Q → E → W - Basic Electrocute combo on Syndra (balls are bugged ik).



E → Q - When You cast E → Q you can trick your enemy that you didn't cast your sphere. To do that you have to place sphere on the end of E's hitbox. It takes some time to learn, but it's really useful skill on Syndra.



Q → W → E → R - Basic combo with R Unleashed Power. You can spawn more spheres to buff R.
(most skilfull combo in the whole game)





For farming mainly use your AAs and Q. When your opponent backs to base you'll usually want to push the wave (Q → W → Q → E or Q → E on casters then W → Q on melees) or freeze it under your tower to make them lose the gold and exp.


If you see cannon with low HP that you probably won't take by AA click W on him to get the gold. Cannons give big amount of gold so try to get them always.


When you want to push lane fast you can use your E, but be careful then because it's your only escape tool.
