Before I start with this guide let me just say taht I couldn't have done this well with Amumu without reading every other guide I could find out there. So this might be an extensive guide but if you take LOL seriously enough, just like any other sport, you will have to read.

i have been playing lol for 3 years and its been tough I hail form Sunny South Africa and my ping average is ab out 220 and my best is about 196, on bad days it goes up too about 260. Having said that I only made silver this year and I am aiming for GOLD next season. I only really started JUNGLING early this year and started off with YI then VI then J4 and now finally AMUMU. J4 is by far my best win ratio of 68.9%.

So I hope this guide helps someone like many others helped me.

So why AS runes or no MR? Well let me explain it the way I see it. Amumu is a DPS based champ he has some burst but I normally just run around with my W on and kill everything that way. Don't get me wrong Tantrum is OP but only if your are being attacked which doesnt happen alot since you are a TANK.

Anyway back to the runes DPS is essentail so by using AS runes you actually do more AD per second now stacked with the Stalker and your W the more you DPS you do the better, well that is how I feel about it.

Why no MR well you are a tank buy some MR. I go with AP runes to give my W 1% bonus dmg as soon as I buy the Blasting Wand so that helps alot in the start.

I take the % HP increase runes to stack with the STALKER and other HP Items.

So many builds out there but my core build works everytime with exceptions of course. I will only swap out 1 item to change things up or swap the build order if I am struggling with sustain.

Lets start with my CORE ITEM which is ROD OF AGES.... This is by far the best item any amumu could rush hands down I dont even finish my Cinderhalk before I get this item. The sooner you get the sooner it stacks. Obviously this works for me but other items might work for your build but always find your core item that one item that synergizes with your runes and masteries.

For example J4 my core item is the Titanic Hydra so I rush it fast then just stack life items after that although I do get Cinderhalk first for J4. With Vi its Trinity Force which I normally rush first.

Nedless to say Liandry's Torment is my seond favourite... DPS DPS DPS... This stacks nicely with your W but I only get it late game or if I am snowballing or we have a tank already I got for it as my second item. This is a must for AMUMU if you want to serious hurt the enemy.

So why dont I have more tanky items on my core? Simply said no need for it, there is enough to keep me alive long enough to Despair, Bandage Toss, Curse of the Sad Mummy & Tantrum the enemy carry and then mop up the rest of the team. I think it is essentail that teh Jungler focus the Enmy CARRY be it AP or AD and then help prtect your Carry.

At lvl 6 Just do whatever you want no need to worry abnout jungle paths just go crazy. I normally go harrass mid or top non stop while I wait for BLUE and RED to come back.

Dont be afraid to dive enemies under their towers to secure your ally a kill but only do this after lvl 7 - 8 onxe you have Rod of Ages and Cinderhulk. I normally activate Despair, then Bandage Toss, Tantrum & Curse of the Sad Mummy if needed. then run I dont stay for the fight I am in snare then stun then run. Only do this if you Ally wants to dive if you ping and he follows go in but dont just dive in and hope he sees you it has to be collective.
