Summoner Spells

Flash: This is the best choice for Lissandra.She can easily use it for a gab close to ultimate the enemy, securing a fast kill.Also combined with her Glacial Path its a deadly combo for the AD carry. |
Ignite: This is the summoner spell I choose and prefer to play with.Lissandra isnt the best damage dealer at the very begining so Ignite can be used to secure the kill. |
Teleport: You can go with Teleport when you think you will have some hard time laning and use it for a fast recall.

Skills
Iceborn(Passive):Every 18 seconds, Lissandra's next ability costs no mana. Cooldown reduction does not affect Iceborn, but the cooldown is reduced by 1 second whenever Lissandra impairs an enemy's movement with an ability (does not apply to movement-impairing effects from items).This spell is just unique.
Iceborn allows you to poke your enemy whole the time without getting out of mana.Or helps you when your are completly OOM to escape with a free-cost Glacial Path.Frost Shard (Q):Throws a spear of ice that travels in a line and shatters when it hits an enemy, dealing 75/110/145/180/215 (+65% AP) magic damage and slowing its Movement Speed for 1.5 seconds. Shards then pass through the target, dealing the same damage to other enemies hit (but not slowing them).
This is your main damage dealing spell.Low CD spell with the ability to shatter when hits enemy, allowing you to easily poke enemies during laning phase.And also a great device to farm.
[[Ring of Frost] (W):Freezes an area around Lissandra, dealing 75/110/145/180/215 (+65% AP) magic damage to nearby enemies and rooting them.
This is your most annoying spell.When you are ganked you can easily just freeze them and use your
Glacial Path to go away.It can also be used to do some pretty nice damage combo if played right especially versus melee champions.You can Q>W>Q them for a clean trade. Glacial Path (E):Casts a claw of ice that moves forward in a line, dealing 70/115/160/105/250 (+60% AP) magic damage to all enemies hit. Reactivating this ability transports Lissandra to the claw's current location.This is your most unique spell.It allows you to gank/escape/burst the target.This is the spells that identify Lissandra as the champion she is.On how you use
Glacial Path depends your whole gaming with Lissandra. Frozen Tomb (R):ENEMY CAST: Freezes target champion solid, dealing 150/300/450 (+70% AP) magic damage and stunning it for 1.5 seconds.SELF CAST: Lissandra encases herself in dark ice for 1.5 seconds, becoming untargetable and invulnerable but unable to take any actions.
Dark ice then spreads from Lissandra's target dealing 150/300/450 (+70% AP) magic damage to enemies. The ice lasts for 3 seconds and slows enemy Movement Speed by 20%.
Your Ultimate.Providing you immune which is perfect versus champions like
Fizz, Zed etc. or an incredible stunlock which combined with your other abilities can be deadly.Its also a good kite provider for your ADC when playing versus champions like Rengar Talon etc.

This is the primery choice for boots for me since they provide more burst potential for the kills. |

This is my second choice for boots.I usually buy them in situations where I have to buy more defensive items and I am not able to buy Morellonomicon.

I usually rush that item for extra damage and some mobility.The dash isnt that great but sometimes it can be crucial for reducing the range followed by Frozen Tomb.

This is one of the best items for Lissandra when your are facing AD champions and especially Zed. It is accepted that Zhonya's Hourglass is so-called essential for Lissandra but still it depends on how the game is going.Personally I prefer not to build it everytime since there are a lot better choices.

|
I really like that item on Lissandra because of her low cd Ice Shard.It also provide a lot of AP and some health which is usefull for Lissandra.Liandry is the best choice when your are facing more tankier enemies.

Good damage boost item.Nothing more to say. |

|
This is the CD reduction item I prefer to take for her.It gives her a lot of AP as well.Always rush this when playing vs Swain or Vladimir.

My final item.Usually the games arent so long to take this but after all the items I get for protection or nuking this is the last nail in the enemies' coffins hehe. |

A lot players know this item as a must for Lissandra. I persoanlly dont like it on her.But you can always take it if u think you gonna need the hp and mp :)

Match-ups

|
A good Ahri can cause a lot of troubles for you.Never try to trade her pre-6 since the chance to win the trade is only if she miss her Charm.Use your Glacial Path only if your jungler is there because she can easily Charm you and win the trade.If she is ahead avoid fightings when she dash into for a fight just ult her and use Glacial Path to escape.

This match-up shouldn't be hard for you if you can dodge her Flash Frost.You won't be able to kill her in a 1v1 fight because of her passive but you can win trades.With a little help from your jungler this lane can be snowballed easy.
|
|
|
This is the matchup I persoanlly HATE.You have the advantage before 6 but once she get her ultimate the only thing that can save you is your Frozen Tomb.She can dash you after you use Glacial Path and again when you use Ring of Frost.Don't push the lane and wait for the jungler to help.
|
|
|
This is more like a farm matchup before you both get 6.Once you get your ultimate wait for her to use stun and go in for a kill but make sure you poked her a little bit.Have in mind that your Frozen Tomb has something like a cast time and its slower than annie Summon: Tibbers she will always stun you faster if you fight face to face.
|
|
|
This lane can be a hell if she plays it well. Her Miasma can totally destroy your try for engage or disengage with Glacial Path so always have it on your mind. Don't trade her.Just poke.With your jungler she is easy kill once you are 6.
|

|
Skill match-up.You can poke her really hard pre 6 but do it only with your Ice Shard.If your use your Glacial Path into her for poke, the damage she can do to you is huge so avoid it.Once she hits 6 and got her ult start playing more carefully because her combo is deadly.

I found that as a surprisingly easy match.You can poke him all the time and also prevent him poking you when jumps on you.Your Frozen Tomb counters his ultimate so use it wisely to burst him down in it.

EASIEST LANE EVER.You have everything needed to stop fizz.He is melee=constant poke.He jump on you=freeze him.He ults you=ult yourself as well.You shouldn't have any problems winning the game.But we all have bad games so beware if he get some kills he can actually kill you really quick without ult !!! |

Really boring lane but it is in your favor.Farm is the goal here.You can never kill him since he can just cleanse your ultimate or freeze.Use your Glacial Path when he use his ult and you will be fine.

Easy match-up once you get your ultimate.Before that is more like a farm lane. |

Hard poke him pre-6.Killing him early is the only way you can win trades when he gets Riftwalk. If you arent ahead avoid fighting once he is with his ultimate.Freeze him and Glacial Path away.

After the changes a good Katarina will always win a lane agains Lissandra.She don't even need her Death Lotus to kill you.Your Ring of Frost is also useless since she is jumping from a dagger to dagger.Just Glacial Path away when she engage.

Skill based match-up.I've win a lot but also lost a lot games versus LeBlanc. Avoid her Ethereal Chains and you should be okay.

Really annoying match.She out range you really hard.She can just use her Light Binding when you engage at her.Don't underestimate her Final Spark and always your Frozen Tomb to survive.Ask for help when you get your ultimate and she is dead.

Skill match-up.Depends on you if it will be a farming lane.You can engage on her and destroy her Black Shield with your Ice Shard and then kill her.Use Glacial Path when she use her ultiamte.AVOID HER Dark Binding it can be deadly if the jungler is there.

Skill match-up.You have more range with your Ice Shard but don't try to trade if she has her spells up. Poke her when she use her ball to farm.
|
|
|
Swain can be a pain in the *** with his poke.Always rush Morellonomicon in this match. You can't kill him 1v1 by any circumstances if he knows what he is doing but with a little help by your jungler it can be done.Try to roam if he doesn't push.
|
|
|
Hardest match-up for me.She win trades all the time with her stun.1 kill is enough for her to snowball you so try to play passive in this lane and beware of Scatter the Weak.Use your Frozen Tomb to dodge her Unleashed Power. Zhonya's Hourglass is a perfect choice here so you can survive the burst and then kill her.

Poke him pre-6 but beware of his Rake + Noxian Diplomacy + Ignite combo at level 2 because its deadly.Use your Glacial Path to dodge his Shadow Assault or if you don't react on time just Frozen Tomb yourself. Zhonya's Hourglass is good choice here.

Easy match-up.Once he use his Pick A Card go all in. Teleport would be good choice here to follow his ganks.
|
|
|
No problems here.Poke him with Ice Shard.Avoid his Event Horizon and you should be fine.At level 6 all in him.
|

He can be really dangerous for you since he out range you by any paragraphs.He has no escape ability but he can use his Tectonic Disruption on your Glacial Path and he can destory you.

|
Avoid this match up. I don't have much expereince with this match-up.But all you do whole lane phase is to dodge his skills and your arent able to do anything to stop him.Ask for gank.Never use your Glacial Path to engage him alone he will crush you.

|
Skill based match-up.But its more in your favor.Freeze him when he engage you and poke him . Make sure to always remove his shield before using your Ice Shard.He will probably push the lane so early ganks can destroy him.

|
This match-up is totally in your favor at the begining.But even 1 mistake by you can turn on the table.Try to dodge his Razor Shuriken. Zhonya's Hourglass is your core item here.

|
Annoying lane.With your Frozen Tomb he is easy kill with the help of your jungler.

Team Work and Tips
|
|
Lissandra is amazing team fight champion because of the cc and peel she can provide for the AD carry.She can also easliy engage between the enemy team(which I usually do not recommend to do) and kill the enemy AD carry or the mage if he is squishy. The other thing I love about Lissandra is that she can peel for her AD carry better than most of the supports.If there is an assasin in the enemy team like Rengar, Talon or Kha'Zix she can just Frozen Tomb or Ring of Frost them.Which can also turn into an easy pick up kill for the team.As I said in the last sentance up..PICK UPS. Lissandra is amazing in punishing someone who dared to go out of position.Just use Glacial Path + Frozen Tomb and its easy pickup kill for your team.

There are some nice plays to do with
Lissandra. You can Glacial Path at a solid wall allowing you to appear on the other side.But remember this move requires some training because it wont work all the time.Usually the combo of spells I use is :
Ice Shard > Frozen Tomb > Ice Shard > Ring of Frost > Glacial Path > Ice Shard. This is the insane damage + CC combo.There are a lot more available combos you can do with her spells.This is what makes this champion so amazing.Using
Frozen Tomb + Zhonya's Hourglass when you are caught by the enemy team can provide enough time for your team to come and help you.
