Save Q for when he dashes in and you cannot lose. Wait out his ult when he pops it, but try to poke him out hard in the early game. He falls off hard, so even if you get behind with some ganks, don't worry too much.
Darius
Darius falls off but is a serious threat at level 6 and after if he can land a full combo. Trade hard after he misses his abilities and try to either ignite him before his big spin Q or stand on the interior of it. He's easy to poke out levels 1-5. Prioritize movement speed items to keep the space.
Garen
He has extremely high base stats, base damage, and a point and click true damage. You can blind his Q but not his buffed E, so keep Q up but still keep a big distance. You poison keeps him combat and negates his passive, so if you are in a good spot, try to keep the pressure up. He also scales quite well.
Illaoi
Don't just dodge her E (the pull ability that puts you in the water realm), but try to actively bait it out. Without tentacles, you can often fight her off your spirit with Q at earlier levels. With tentacles it's usually better to run and lick your wounds. Save ignite once she get's ult. All-in-all an easy matchup.
Jax
Jax is normally an extremely easy matchup. The one difficult playstyle are Jaxes with corrupting pot that all-in you constantly starting at level 1-2. Kite, wait out his spin move, and punish his cooldowns. Champions that play as aggressively as Jax needs to are extremely easy for your Jungler to gank. If he gets ahead, do not ever try to fight him and instead just trade back when he dives you under tower.
Aatrox
Pretty easy matchup if you can dodge his abilities. Respect his burst damage and try not to fight with less than 75% health. Use Q liberally for poke. At
Pantheon
Play passively, don't overstay for plates, and build seekers. If he can't win a trade hard with one spell rotation, and if you've saved Q and ignite, you can usually run him down immediately after to secure the kill. Punish his roams by taking plates and by prematurely warning your teammates.
Irelia
If you can dodge her stun, you win trades per hard. She prefers extended trades and can't really burst you down. If things appear to be going badly, just back up and try to stay away from your own minions, which give her infinite dashes.
Riven
Try to kite and save Q for when she gets in auto range. For the duration of Q I like to stand still and just maximize your own DPS before returning to kiting. Sometimes you can bait out her gap closing abilities, allowing you to win the longer trades.
Akali
Ryze
Ryze is an AP splitpusher. If he starts the greedy refillable+sapphire crystal, you can often play rather aggressively and force him back early. Once he has a tear and level 7, he can instantly clear waves for almost indefinitely. At this point, try to not trade and just look to CS. With shroom/stealth/ignite you can still kill him in the midgame, but it's often better to focus your efforts on grouping and having a bigger impact around objectives and mid towers.
Kayle
Must ban-champ. It's very difficult to get a large enough lead to take her down. She's very easy to gank for with her movement boost, invulnerability, slow, and high damage. You can sometimes use press the attack and electrocute to snowball your lane, but the risk often isn't worth it. With Klepto she'll usually end up 1-2 kills worth of gold ahead all else being equal.
Heimerdinger
Just farm safely in this matchup. He is unkillable, but luckily you scale pretty evenly.
Yasuo
A good Yasuo is actually quite dangerous to Teemo. Be careful patching near your own minions, as they offer him free pathing.
Mordekaiser
Mord is pretty effective vs Teemo, as most of his damage does not come from auto-attacks, and Teemo doesn't have a reliable way to avoid his E or R. Avoid his R but definitely try to lay on heavy poke early.
Nasus
Nasus is actually one of the easier matchups early, so try to poke him out hard. If he seems to be putting points into E, an early Doran's Shield to complement your ring is often handy. At level 6, 60 stacks, and a Sheen he will win all-ins. Save Q for when he's in auto range and wait out his ult when he goes in.
Vayne
Fiora
He can run you down at early levels, so farm safely and punish her when she misses dashes. Ignite is a saving grace versus her lifesteal if/when she dives you under tower.
Wukong
Save Q for when he dashes forward and build an early seekers. If he can't nearly 100-0 you with his dash, you win, and seekers counteracts lethality extremely cost-effectively.
Shen
Respect his level 1-3 trades. Back up immediately after all poke and save Q for his dash-taunt. Once he has 6, punish roams by taking plates.
Urgot
Urgot is in a pretty weak spot right now. You can poke him down pretty reliably early. If you can dodge his Q and E, he'll be low on mana and easy to all-in.
Yorick
Yorick is a powerful split pusher who intends to split push all game. Early points in W will help you avoid his cage. Feel free to focus on split-push heavy items like Gunblade and Nashors if your team is ahead and matching his split is the priority. If your team needs you, just try to clear waves as he pushes them in and then rejoin your team.
Singed
Escort your wave to lane to prevent the proxy. Between your minions and Singed to fully zone him off. Use the brush to drop minion aggro. With a level lead and early boots purchase, you can usually snowball the lane hard. Respect his all-in potential with his ultimate and save ignite and shrooms if you expect an all-in.
Olaf
Avoid fighting Olaf early. Poke a little with grasp, back liberally, and beware of his increase lifesteal and attack speed at low levels. If he's ahead by the time he gets 6, he can run you down with impunity so give him space. With you ignite up and his ult down, you can eventually start to win trades.
Karma
She is a lane bully. Take Doran's shield, perhaps an early null magic mantle, and just focus on CS. You outscale her and should not expect to be able to kill her without a jungler, shroom, and/or stealth ambush.
Cho'Gath
This is a matchup where you can trade hard, especially if you can avoid his Q (which has a very small CD and is easy to land a second time after the first). Try to stay at full health at all times to avoid the execute on his ultimate. He has great sustain, so sometimes it's worth keeping up with a Vampiric Sceptor. Tank Cho is no threat to you, and AP Cho is easily outscaled by you if he doesn't snowball.
