Welcome to my guide!

After the cooldown nerf on Noxian Guillotine, Darius became less popular. However I've found a SOLUTION to make him efficient again. The guide will include a guide for masteries, runes, spells, even some advices while playing him.


It is my first champion guide, so I'm open for feedbacks in what-to-change, don't be so harsh, please.

Quintessences

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage and greater quintessence of armor penetration are recommended, because you will get the armor and magic resist from the masteries and other runes.

Glyphs

Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist is ideal, because it will sustain your magic resist throughout the game better and AP relied champions don't usually have a strong early magic damage.

Seals

Greater Seal of Armor is my choice of runes, because one's early game trades will be more beneficial for you.

Marks

Greater Mark of Attack Damage is recommended because the bonus damage on Decimate scales well with your Attack Damage, and these runes help you to get kills early on.

• The Offense tree grants the required attack speed and damage,
  
• The Defense tree gives much tankiness with armor and MR boosts.
  
• Sorcery grants you the early cooldown reduction to spam Decimate and Noxian Guillotine more often.

Now, that Noxian Guillotine goes on cooldown, no matter if its the killing blow, the goal is now to lower its cooldown, to use it more often. Decimate is quite a damaging tool after 40% CDR, with its own 3sec recharging time. But these were obvious. Let's discuss the weird items.

Frozen Heart

Frozen Heart is good vs fed AD's and gives some mana sustain. The attack speed lowering can wreck any AD carries, and give even more benefit of enemies, who do not build on attack speed.

Spirit of the Elder Lizard

Spirit of the Elder Lizard with its HP & MP regeneration makes laning a little bit more easy, and because of the CDR it's worth buying. The true damage is not much, but with a Decimate, Ignite, and 5 stacks of Hemorrhage guarantees the kill on champions with 300 HP or less.

Decimate first, to gain some heavy damage

Crippling Strike because of its sick 200% overall damage, and slows.

Apprehend last, for its pull effect.

Noxian Guillotine whenever its avaliable.

Basic Combo

This combo can easily grant you a kill at mid-game on one of the squishier champions in the enemy team. Easier if you lane against ranged or ap champions, like Teemo, Swain or Vladimir; they usually don't have high base hp nor armor.
