Introduction

Pros / Cons

Pros:

High DPS and huge magic resist debuff with Starcall makes her a very threatening opponent, particularly at early levels.
Astral Blessing and Wish, combined with Salvation, give her very strong sustain all throughout the game.
Infuse's silence has a very long duration and even with the mana cost can still be useful for giving allies that little bit of mana they need
Wish means Soraka has global pressure other supports don't, allowing her to change the results of trades she's nowhere near.

Cons:

While Infuse can stop enemies from casting spells and keep them out of a fight that way, it doesn't keep them off her allies.
Her main source of damage has a short range and her mobility is fairly low.
All of Soraka's cooldowns are more than ten seconds (with the exception of Starcall). Wish and Astral Blessing in particular have very long cooldowns and require good decision making to use them effectively.
Because of her low AP scaling, despite AP being the strongest build, she actually doesn't benefit particularly from large amounts of AP.

Magic penetration is one of the best stats for , so I like to take these for the extra damage they give you throughout the game

MARKS

These two are entirely interchangeable, you can use whichever you prefer. I prefer hybrid penetration because I tend to harass with auto-attacks, but this is entirely personal preference.

SEALS

Flat armor is the best choice for support because it mitigates a lot of the early physical damage harass and minion aggro.

GLYPHS

I prefer magic penetration because makes you deal quite a lot of damage early game, however you can use flat magic resistance instead if it suits you better.

OFFENSE: 21

CDR is one of the best stats for , which means is nearly required on her. The others are a combination of scaling AP and damage boosting masteries. will give you less damage on any of your skills than the 1-3% bonus from auto-attacking while you have , so I don't tend to take that myself.

the other 21 points should be in defense. The new income items really eliminate the need for taking points in the utility tree on supports in general. / and / help
