Champion Build Guide
Passive: Hemorrhage
INNATE: Darius' damaging basic attacks and abilities apply a stack of Hemorrhage to affected enemies for 5 seconds, dealing them「 3.25 − 7.5 (based on level) (+ 7.5% bonus AD) physical damage every 1.25 seconds over the duration, 」stacking up to 5 times and refreshing the duration from subsequent damaging attacks and abilities, for a maximum of「 16.25 − 37.5 (based on level) (+ 37.5% bonus AD) physical damage with each tick. 」 Hemorrhage deals 300% damage against monsters.
If Hemorrhage's total post-mitigation damage is higher than the target's current health, a small area of sight is granted around the target for the duration of Hemorrhage and for another 2 seconds after it ends.
Upon applying 5 Hemorrhage stacks to an enemy champion or killing one with Noxian Guillotine, Darius gains Noxian Might for 5 seconds.
NOXIAN MIGHT: Darius gains 20 − 205 (based on level) bonus attack damage and instantly applies 5 Hemorrhage stacks through his usual means.
Q: Decimate
ACTIVE: Darius hefts his axe for 0.75 seconds, and then swings it around himself, dealing physical damage to nearby enemies, reduced to 35% against enemies hit by the handle.
Against champions and large monsters, Darius heals for 15% − 45% (based on enemies hit by the blade) of his missing health. The handle of Darius' axe will not heal him nor apply nor refresh Hemorrhage.
Darius is unable to declare basic attacks or cast Apprehend or Noxian Guillotine during Decimate.
W: Crippling Strike
ACTIVE: Darius' next basic attack within 4 seconds gains 25 bonus range, has an uncancelable windup, deals modified physical damage and slows the target by 90% for 1 second.
If this attack kills the target, half the cooldown is reduced and the mana cost is refunded.
Crippling Strike resets Darius' basic attack timer, and can critically strike with its total damage.
The attack's animation can be cancelled by casting Decimate, but the attack will still land.
E: Apprehend
PASSIVE: Darius gains armor penetration.
ACTIVE: Darius sweeps his axe in a cone in the target direction, slowing enemies hit by 40% for 2 seconds while pulling them towards him. Targets then rebound 150 units off of Darius, remaining airborne for a total of 1 second.
Darius also briefly gains sight of the area around the pull.
R: Noxian Guillotine
ACTIVE: Darius attempts to execute the target enemy champion, leaping towards them to deal them true damage, increased by 0% − 100% (based on Hemorrhage stacks), and granting sight of the area around them for 2.5 seconds from the start of the cast time.
If the target dies within 0.15 seconds after being hit by Noxian Guillotine, Darius causes all nearby minions and monsters to flee from him for 3 seconds, during which they are rapidly slowed by up to 99% over the duration, and is able to recast the ability within 20 seconds at no cost, which refreshes on further executions.
At rank 3, Noxian Guillotine has no mana cost and recast timer.
Darius is unable to cast Decimate and Apprehend for 0.25 seconds after Noxian Guillotine's cast time.
PROS
-
1) Strong early game
-
2) Tankiness
-
3) Damage
-
4) Strong Dueling
-
5) Good Teamfights
-
6) Great 1v2 outplay potential
-
7) Mid game scaling
CONS
-
1) Kiteable
-
2) Falls off lategame
-
3) Hitting Q is important, but can be tricky against some champions
-
4) Has to waste time to get 5 stacks to deal damage
2) Darius can flash during his Q cast.
3) Darius combo is: AA+W+Q. Use W to cancel AA animation and Q to cancel W animation.
4) R+Flash combo is faster than Flash+R. While chasing a low HP target to ult them, place the cursor on the enemy, click R and flash instantly.
5) R+W combo casts faster than W+R.
6) Darius can flash during his R at any time, and it's cast is not going to be aborted. You can use this knowledge to dodge skillshots, while executing an enemy.
7) When you are both low HP with your opponent, the opponent escapes and gets under their turret - you can try to trick them and just Q. The opponent may expect Q+Flash under turret from you and will flash on their own. This is how you can get a Flash adventage without taking any risk.
8) Against champions, who can dash to dodge your Q's edge, perform an E+Q combo. Note: after using E, don't spam click Q. If you wait a bit and time it correctly - an enemy won't have any chances to dodge it.
9) It is okay to use Ghost in all-in to dodge enemy's skillshots way easier.
10) You can move while using your Q. As Darius, you never want to stand still. You have a colossal adventage on opponents, like Mordekaiser, Illaoi, etc., who CC themselfs, while using their main sources of damage.
