^Welcometo my Riven guide!I am a Riven player from SEA server.Eventhough I am not a good riven.But I am going to share my Riven build to MobaFire. ,Riven is known as an ad assasin/fighter in League of Legends,but now we are going for a different style,Ad Tank Riven!IT works well for me and it works for players that haven't master riven.But I prefer AD because Her skill,Runic blade Runic Blade,Broken wings Broken Wings,Ki burst Ki Burst,Valor Valor and Wind slash Wind Slash scale with high Ad ratio.

Runic Blade

Riven's abilities charge her blade, causing her to do 0.25 - 0.5(from levels 1-18) of her total attack damage bonus physical damage on her next basic attack. Riven can store up to 3 charges, and will only expend one at a time.

Runic Blade is riven's passive which make her basic attack enchanted after using an abilities,and this is the damage source of riven because it scales of large amount of ad ratio.Using Q -A combo will deals an insane damage to your opponent.So the objective is praticing the Q-A combo.

Broken Wings

Active: Riven steps forward and lashes out in a series of powerful sword slashes that will damage all enemies nearby. This ability can be activated a second time within 4 seconds, and a third time within 4 seconds of that. On the third activation she will also knock up nearby enemies and have a larger radius of damage. All three strikes will deal the same amount of damage.

Broken Wings can be used to perform Q-A combo.It can knockup enemies and interupt dashes such as Lee Sin's Sonic Wave, Yasuo's Sweeping Blade and Wukong's Nimbus Strike.It is also a mobility kit to escape and chase enemies.

Ki Burst

Active: Riven deals physical damage and stuns nearby enemies for 0.75 seconds.

This is the main CC skill for Riven in teamfight and also a damage source.It has high ad ratio and low cooldown at 45%cooldown reduction.It can also stop dashes and channel.

Valor

Active: Riven dashes towards the cursor and gains a shield for up to 1.5 seconds.

This is a survivalbility skill for riven with sheilds and dashes.I only prefer maxing Valorfirst when laning against heavy poke champions such as Pantheon, Swain, Shacoand Teemo.

Blade of the Exile

Active: Rivens sword reforms, gaining 20% bonus attack damage, extended range on her damaging abilities and autoattacks for 15 seconds. She is also granted the ability to use Wind Slash once for the duration.
Riven can activate the ability to emit a shockwave in a long cone in front of her that deals physical damage to all units hit based on their missing health.:

As an assasin/fighter, Riven are able to assasinate target with her [blade of the exile]] and Wind Slash because Blade of the Exile increase Riven's attack damage and attack range while Wind Slash has increased damage against low health target.It has long cooldown but short in late game.Max out Blade of the Exileif able to.

Greater Mark of Attack Damage:This is a good mark for Riven because it increases her damage effectively as all of her skills scale with AD.It is better than greater mark of armor penetration.

Greater Seal of Scaling Health:I prefer Greater Seal of Scaling Health because it increases Riven's health in late game to make her scales longer into teamfights.

Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction:Cooldown reduction is most important for riven especially reducing the Valor's cooldown.With 6 Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction,we can get 5%cooldown reduction at lv1 to lower skill's cooldown.

Greater Glyph of Magic Resist:I get magic resist because riven still needs some magic resist to fight against AP ranged champions such as Lulu, Kennen and Lissandra.It allows her to tank more AP damages from those ranged caster.

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage:Same as Greater Mark of Attack Damage,it increases Riven's attack damage and spell damage.

In this masteries tree,I goes for 0/12/18 because Grasp of the Undyingis the best keystone for a tank.In ferocity,I get 5/5 on Sorcerybecause riven does not need any attack speed from Fury when Sorcery can increase her spell damage.I get Natural Talent for the 10 ad increases because there is no lifesteal in tank riven's build unless she gets a Ravenous Hydra or a Bloodthirster. Oppressor is a good choice as riven has 2 cword control skill which is third Broken Wings and Ki Burst. Recovery is good for riven to has more natural sustain in lane. Explorer is not a good masteries for riven so i get Tough Skin to reduce damage taken from champions and jungle camps.Besides, Veteran's Scars is not taken because we already have benefited health from Greater Seal of Scaling Health,so I get Runic Armor to increase the shield point and increase health regen from Recovery . Insight is good for cooldown reduction for Teleport and Flash. Legendary Guardian can be chosen but i choose Swiftness to reduce slows from some champions such as Nasus, Lulu, Olaf, Volibear, Darius and etc. Grasp of the Undying can keep you alive in lane with the health steal as Riven has weak sustain in lane. Thunderlord's Decree tree are only preferred for AD cdr Riven.

Full Build

Sunfire Aegis:Sunfire cape is a good item for tanks to fight against ADs.It not only increases armor but also increase health with an aoe burn.With Sunfire Aegis, Riven has large amount of aoe damage and tankiness in teamfights.

Trinity Force:I think that some peoples will reject and has argument about trinity force on riven.In my opinion, Trinity Force has a good benefit for riven although it is hard to build up. Trinity Force increase stats of riven such as Attack damage,Critical Chance,Attack speed,Movement Speed,and Cooldown Reduction.The spell blade also can be combined with Runic Blade to perform a huge amount of damage in one time.The Phage passive also enable Rivento chase her target easily as she is a full AD ratio champion.

Ninja Tabi:You can choose either Ninja Tabi or mercurial boot. Mercurial boot are chosen when enemies are ap champions that has strong cc such as Teemo and Lissandra.But i prefer Ninja Tabi because tenacity can be gained from Elixir of Iron.

Black Cleaver:I think you knows that the reason for a Riven.It is the main core item for riven as it gives Riven health,attack damage,cooldown reduction ,movement speed and armor shred.

Spirit Visage:the only reason i get this item is because the magic resist and the cooldown reduction.It also gives health to make riven tankier.

Dead Man's Plate:Well,this works well for bruiser Riven as it gives armor,health and a movement speed that builds up when moving. Dead Man's Plate's passive can works with Trinity Force and Runic Blade to deal insane damage and also slows the enemy.

Chooseable/Situational items

Blade of the Ruined King:It is good to get Blade of the Ruined King when enemy has high health so we can deal some more damage to them. Blade of the Ruined King also suitable against ranged targets as we can slows them with active.Note:Only gets Blade of the Ruined King in mid game and not first/second item.

Sterak's Gage:If enemy is full AD team, Spirit Visage can be switched into Sterak's Gage to increase ad and gains a shield to survive in teamfight.

Warmog's Armor:You can get a Warmog's Armor buy replacing Trinity Force if wants to be a full tank.

Titanic Hydra:Titanic hydra is a good option for tank riven.It can replace Trinity Force or Black Cleaver as Titanic Hydra can increase lane pushing power and dueling power.

Randuin's Omen:Randuin's omen is bought to replace Dead Man's Plate when there is many critical ad champions like Yasuo, tryndemere and Gangplank or kiting champions such as Vayne, Caitlyn and Kalista,the active can slows the surrounding enemies down to increase your chasing power.

There can be many summoner spells to be choosed.The examples are in below.

Teleport+ Flash(Recommended)

These is the best summoner spells for Riven, Teleport allows Riven to get back to lane to farm up,roaming bot lane and Flash can keep you alive in teamfights.


Ignite+ Flash

Ignite and Flash is not recommended because Riven already has ability to solo kill targets. Teleport is more useful in teamfight when Ignite is only for killing. Ignite Flash can be chosen when facing healing champions such as Yorick, Swain, Dr. Mundo and Volibear.

Ignite+ Teleport

Ignite Teleport is choose for both killing and tower securing,but without Flash, Riven can be easily get caught by enemy in late game.

Exhaust+ Flash

Exhaust is used when facing high damage enemies for example: Vayne, LeBlanc and Mordekaiser.

As you are a tank riven.You are no longer a passively killsteal teamfight champions.You can join into fight with Blade of the Exile-> Valor->3rd Broken Wings-> Ki Burst-> Wind Slash-> Runic Blade and tank some damages without dying unless your teammates do not follow up.Stick with teammates in late game because they need a tank/fighter.
