It's a hard matchup for riven because he can deny your q-a combo with his Counter-Strike.Try to get a jungle gank or he may destroy you after he built guinsoo's rageblade.

^Welcometo my Rivenguide!I am a Riven player from SEA server.Eventhough I am not a good riven.But I am going to share my Riven build to MobaFire.,Riven is known as an ad assasin/fighter in League of Legends,but now we are going for a different style,Ad Tank Riven!IT works well for me and it works for players that haven't master riven.But I prefer AD because Her skill,Runic blade,Broken wings,Ki burst,Valor and Wind slash scale with high Ad ratio.

Riven's abilities charge her blade, causing her to do 0.25 - 0.5(from levels 1-18) of her total attack damage bonus physical damage on her next basic attack. Riven can store up to 3 charges, and will only expend one at a time.

is riven's passive which make her basic attack enchanted after using an abilities,and this is the damage source of riven because it scales of large amount of ad ratio.Using Q-Acombo will deals an insane damage to your opponent.So the objective is praticing the Q-A combo.

Active: Riven steps forward and lashes out in a series of powerful sword slashes that will damage all enemies nearby. This ability can be activated a second time within 4 seconds, and a third time within 4 seconds of that. On the third activation she will also knock up nearby enemies and have a larger radius of damage. All three strikes will deal the same amount of damage.

can be used to perform Q-A combo.It can knockup enemies and interupt dashes such as 's,'s and's .It is also a mobility kit to escape and chase enemies.

Active: Riven deals physical damage and stuns nearby enemies for 0.75 seconds.

This is the main CC skill for in teamfight and also a damage source.It has high ad ratio and low cooldown at 45%cooldown reduction.It can also stop dashes and channel.

Active: Riven dashes towards the cursor and gains a shield for up to 1.5 seconds.

This is a survivalbility skill for riven with sheilds and dashes.I only prefer maxing first when laning against heavy poke champions such as ,,and.

Active: Rivens sword reforms, gaining 20% bonus attack damage, extended range on her damaging abilities and autoattacks for 15 seconds. She is also granted the ability to use once for the duration.
Riven can activate the ability to emit a shockwave in a long cone in front of her that deals physical damage to all units hit based on their missing health.:

As an assasin/fighter, are able to assasinate target with her [blade of the exile]] and because increase 's attack damage and attack range while has increased damage against low health target.It has long cooldown but short in late game.Max out if able to.

:This is a good mark for because it increases her damage effectively as all of her skills scale with AD.It is better than greater mark of armor penetration.

:I prefer because it increases 's health in late game to make her scales longer into teamfights.

:Cooldown reduction is most important for riven especially reducing the 's cooldown.With 6,we can get 5%cooldown reduction at lv1 to lower skill's cooldown.

:I get magic resist because riven still needs some magic resist to fight against AP ranged champions such as , and .It allows her to tank more AP damages from those ranged caster.

:Same as ,it increases 's attack damage and spell damage.

Masteries

In this masteries tree,I goes for 0/12/18 because is the best keystone for a tank.In ferocity,I get 5/5 onbecause riven does not need any attack speed from when can increase her spell damage.I get for the 10 ad increases because there is no lifesteal in tank riven's build unless she gets a or a . is a good choice as riven has 2 cword control skill which is third and . is good for riven to has more natural sustain in lane. is not a good masteries for riven so i get to reduce damage taken from champions and jungle camps.Besides, is not taken because we already have benefited health from ,so I get to increase the shield point and increase health regen from .is good for cooldown reduction for and . can be chosen but i choose to reduce slows from some champions such as ,,,, and etc. can keep you alive in lane with the health steal as has weak sustain in lane.
tree are only preferred for AD cdr .

Items

Full Build

:Sunfire cape is a good item for tanks to fight against ADs.It not only increases armor but also increase health with an aoe burn.With , has large amount of aoe damage and tankiness in teamfights.

:I think that some peoples will reject and has argument about trinity force on riven.In my opinion, has a good benefit for riven although it is hard to build up. increase stats of riven such as Attack damage,Critical Chance,Attack speed,Movement Speed,and Cooldown Reduction.The spell blade also can be combined with to perform a huge amount of damage in one time.The passive also enable to chase her target easily as she is a full AD ratio champion.

:You can choose either or mercurial boot. Mercurial boot are chosen when enemies are ap champions that has strong cc such as and .But i prefer because tenacity can be gained from .

:I think you knows that the reason for a .It is the main core item for riven as it gives health,attack damage,cooldown reduction ,movement speed and armor shred.

:the only reason i get this item is because the magic resist and the cooldown reduction.It also gives health to make riven tankier.

:Well,this works well for bruiser as it gives armor,health and a movement speed that builds up when moving.'s passive can works with and to deal insane damage and also slows the enemy.

Chooseable/Situational items

:It is good to get when enemy has high health so we can deal some more damage to them. also suitable against ranged targets as we can slows them with active.Note:Only gets in mid game and not first/second item.

:If enemy is full AD team, can be switched into to increase ad and gains a shield to survive in teamfight.

:You can get a buy replacing if wants to be a full tank.

:Titanic hydra is a good option for tank riven.It can replace or as can increase lane pushing power and dueling power.

:Randuin's omen is bought to replace when there is many critical ad champions like , tryndemere and or kiting champions such as , and ,the active can slows the surrounding enemies down to increase your chasing power.

Spells

There can be many summoner spells to be choosed.The examples are in below.

These is the best summoner spells for , allows to get back to lane to farm up,roaming bot lane and can keep you alive in teamfights.

Ignite and Flash is not recommended because already has ability to solo kill targets. is more useful in teamfight when is only for killing. can be chosen when facing healing champions such as ,, and .

Ignite Teleport is choose for both killing and tower securing,but without , can be easily get caught by enemy in late game.

Exhaust is used when facing high damage enemies for example:, and .

Teamfights

As you are a tank riven.You are no longer a passively killsteal teamfight champions.You can join into fight with ->->3rd->->-> and tank some damages without dying unless your teammates do not follow up.Stick with teammates in late game because they need a tank/fighter.

Summary
