"Cho'Gath's a tank, you noob."
"Cho'Gath sucks as AP lmao!"
Not true. If you say Cho'Gath's a full-on tank, then you're wrong. He's only an off-tank. What kind of tank abilities does he have? No initiating, sure, he has alot of CC, but still that doesn't make him a tank. His AP ratios are pretty amazing, too. Only his feast is considered "tanky", and even that can be countered easily with a Madred's Bloodrazor.

2. Runes

I take Greater Mark of Magic Penetration for a bit of Magic Penetration. I also take Greater Seal of Health for early game survivability, then Greater Glyph of Mana, also for early game, but for mana instead. He can get very mana-hungry early game, but if you want, you can get ability power glyphs instead. Finally I get Greater Quintessence of Ability Power.

3. Masteries

For masteries, I go 21-6-3, taking the ability power and magic penetration in offense and extra things in utility.

4. Items

For items I always start out with a Doran's Ring. Then Boots of Speed After Catalyst the Protector. Now you have a choice, Boots of Swiftness, Sorcerer's Shoes, or Mercury's Treads, make the best decision for your game. Next Rod of Ages, then Rabadon's Deathcap. Now for Guardian Angel, followed by either Force of Nature or Thornmail depending on the match, then the other as your last item.

5. Skills

For the skill sequence, you always want to get your Rupture, Feral Scream, and Vorpal Spikes first, then upgrade your Rupture. Of course at 6, 11, and 16 pick up Feast.

For Summoner Spells I usually get Flash and Teleport, but other options are Ghost, and Exhaust.

7. Pros/Cons

Great CC
Pretty amazing harasser
Better-than-average-caster survivability
Can nom-nom for 700+ true damage+
Can easily disable atleast one squishy carry for a whole teamfight

A bit hard to get used to the Rupture/ Feral Scream/ Feast combo
Some champions may be able to see you in bushes if you have 6 feasts... (Jk, but seriously, how does he fit??)

8. Farming

Cho'Gath is easily one of the best farmers, at least in my opinion. Rupture + Feral Scream can take out a whole minion wave in mid game, and in late game just one Rupture would probably be enough. In early game at level 6, you want to focus on getting all your Feasts up, so you'll probably have more survivability than anyother champion. If you keep dieing, tell your teammates "Please protect me, I need to keep my Feasts" or something like that. If you have 6 Feasts and you leave an ally to die instead of helping (2v1 in which your ally already lost, or similar situation) just say it's for a better cause ;D.
