Hello Summoners I bring you another guide. This is my way of a support . Yes I know wtf? a support Cho'Gath, well I'll explain everything. Cho'Gath is an Ap tank that can silence an enemy with Feral Scream and knock up enemy units with Rupture. In my view these two skills are great combined with AP items, but they are also great for support, Feral Scream can silence enemy units disabling there skills, this can protect your Ad carry from any harassment, and shut out enemy supports skills. Rupture is another great support tool for Cho'Gath, with Rupture you'll be able to stop enemies from tower diving, or at least knock them up long enough for the tower to pick up the kill, if Rupture is used correctly, you'll be able to protect your allies from champions, knock the enemies up long enough for your allies to escape.

Protecting your jungle
Places that need wards in order to protect lanes,dragon, and baron

Resistance The magic resist to make up for the lack of magic resist from items
Hardiness More Armor
Tough Skin your gonna be up in the lines and minions might damage you, you'll take less damage from them with Tough Skin
Durability Health Per level
Vigor Health Regen
Veteran's Scars +30 health
Bladed Armor Returns 6 damage to minions and monsters
Initiator increased movement speed to support better and get to team fights quicker
Enlightenment Cooldown reduction, the silence and knock up unfortunately have a pretty heavy cool down, hopefully with this the cool down will lessen.
Judgment health is increased by 3%
Utility tree
Expended Mind Will increase your mana each level, Rupture and Feral Scream will drain your mana pool
Improved Recall
Swiftness Again getting more movement speed to return to your allies faster
Runic Affinity

For runes I'm building up a tanky rune build9x Greater Mark of Vitality The health increase per level will make Cho'Gath sustain and able to take a beating during team fights
9x Greater Seal of Armor The armor will make Cho'Gath A heavy tank, the enemy AD carry will find damaging you difficult. Your the basic tank, you want them to focus you while your Ad carry picks up the kills. The armor will definitely help
9x Greater Glyph of Magic Resist The magic resistance is important since i'll be focusing on a heavy item build of health/health regen.
9x Greater Quintessence of Armor More Armor TANK

Main spells

Heal - This spell will help keep your Ad carry alive long enough to hopefully pick up the kill and escape

Clairvoyance - Giving sight, use it as soon as you can, just make sure it will be in a useful area like blue,red, and baron or even dragon

Cleanse - Since you'll be tanking all the damage, it'll be good to clear out the CC

Clarity Spamming spells

Exhaust-This will help you Ad carry pick up the kill, its also great for escaping

Flash - This spell only benefits you, just an escape tool

Ghost - This spell is an alternate to Flash, just another escape tool

Heal - This spell will help keep your Ad carry alive long enough to hopefully pick up the kill and escape

Teleport - This will get you to your allies faster, or protect a turret

Ignite -This is good on Ap Cho'Gath but were playing with a support Cho'Gath here so no.

Revive - Who uses this?

Surge - No one uses it

Skill run down Carnivore Whenever Cho'Gath kills a unit, he recovers health and mana. The values restored increase with Cho'Gath's level.
Rupture This Ability knocks up enemy units, a ring of Green area appears before the spikes emerges from the ground, if you find your not landing Rupture Adept to your enemies movement, and predict where they will go.Makes for a great save tool
Feral Scream This skill silences targets, this will protect your allies from any skill shots the enemy will throw at your Ad ally, or anyone, also it will shut out the enemy's support from any CC,Heals, and will also shut out any escapes such as Flash
Vorpal Spikes Cho'Gath's attacks passively release deadly spikes.
Feast just like Smite this ult deals true damage to your target, however were building a hard tank Cho'Gath I prefer to use this skill to buff Cho'Gath, If you kill the target with Feast Cho'Gath gains 90/120/150 extra health, stacks up 6 times. Half of the stacks are lost upon death 150*6 = 900 health <- that is your Warmog's Armor Right there.

This is my third build. Looking through the top Cho'Gath builds/guides I notice a lot of laning and jungle, that's all good and well but I have yet to see anyone's support Cho'Gath build/ guide. I know Cho'Gath does not quite hit the mark of a true support such as Soraka Taric Sona Blitzcrank Janna Lulu and Zilean. But I think Cho'Gath defiantly has the potential to be a good support. But he will never be able to surpass those 7 legendary supports that I mentioned.
