About the Boosted Monkey
I'm a huge fan of the Monkey King, even when I first started back in S6. I might not by the super high elo like other guides but I feel like I can help you learn something-even at a lower rating.
My goal is to shoot for gold at the end of the season and I'll share with you all of the information I've gathered form playing/watching/reading about this champ.
I hope you enjoy it!
There's 3 options I have for you guys, and I'll tell you the positive/negatives of using them.
1) 12/18/0 Thunder Lords Decree
This is the most common you will see of Wukong players but with one big difference. Taking Intelligence over Precision. Along with our 5% cdr on our runes and getting another 5% we get a whole 10% as soon as we spawn in the game. The positive is how much damage you will do before the enemy can really react. The negative is if you don't scare off the laner and they turn on you it can be scary as you have low mobility other than your passive e "Nimbus Speed".
2) 12/18/0 Storm Raider's Surge
There's not too much different but instead of taking Thunder Lord's Decree you're taking Storm Radier's Surge. The negative is that you lose a bunch of your burst from Thunder Lord's Decree. Another bad thing is you can't always get it to proc and late game it's almost useless because the chance you have to proc it other then mid and adc isn't high. But the positives are the movement speed you again along with slow resist. You can trade auto's easily and with Fury from the Ferocity tree you get so much attack speed. Used best when you're not against a tanky laner or they have no real tank in the team.
3) 0/12/18 Grasp of the Undying
This is by far my least favorite path to take but it can be good. The positives are that you gain so much resistances/tenacity/health and you can trade with the stacks ready just E<AA<Q and if they keep fighting back just keep smacking them and out trade. But with this tree you're pretty much only going tanky and the point of playing Wukong is to be a bruiser. But if you like you can always try this out.
