Team Fights

As Darius you should protect your team carries at start of fights and stack your passive from enemy frontline. When you have activated your passive you can Q and Flash for enemy backline and shutdown their carries. If your team already have good cc try to go for enemy backline fast as possible.

Snowballing as Darius

Snowballing as Darius is important. If your lane opponent is playing very defensive try to make tp plays and take couple of kills. If you get fed early on you should push enemy top tower fast as possible and start roaming other lanes and plan for teamfights.

Farming

Farming and gaining experience is important for Darius. If you are behind you will fall more and more if you don't get fed. In lane you should focus controlling wave and how to trade with your lane opponent. Always when you are going for trade you slowly push wave towards enemy.

Ranked Play

In my opinion Darius is one of the best Solo queue ranked champions. He have high carry potential early to late game. Most of matchups you can stomp your lane opponent if they are playing too aggressive. Darius also have good outplay potential to outplay ganks. If you are already fed and enemy is coming to gank you, you should try to 1v2 if enemy jungler isn't fed and you have flash up. In low elo Darius is very strong pick. If you are bronze/silver you can climb easily by playing Darius.

Tips & Tricks

There is few tricks you can abuse as Darius to make plays, trade with your lane opponent and survive longer in teamfights.

Trading

You can use flash during your Q animation

Healing in team fights at low hp

E,Q
Use your E to pull 3 or more enemies to you then heal up with Q

5 stacks combo

E,AA,W,AA,Q,AA,R or AA,W,AA,Q,E,AA,R
Depending on situation you should keep your E up if your enemy have high escape potential.

Escaping from ganks

If you are ganked by enemy jungler and you have flash on cd you should try to slow enemy with W, then Q to escape. If enemy have slows or high movement speed you have to use your E to cc them, then walk back and Q for heal.

Animation cancels

You can cancel AA with your W
W and fast Q
You can cancel W animation pressing Q straight after W

Laning

Darius does well against most matchups but like gnar, jayce or quinn can be hard for someone. You should just play safe and farm and wait moment for good trades. Asking jungler for ganks usually helps you win your lane 1v1 after that 1 gank. When trading with melee oponent you have to know how you controll your minion wave. Because always you go trade with your Q you will slowly push wave towards enemy tower. So i recommend freeze lane much as you can and go for trades when enemy is going for last hit.

About items

Always buy The Black Cleaver because Darius passive bleed does physical damage and that works with The Black Cleavers passive.
Spirit Visage is strong item for Darius because it gives you 25% more healing from Darius Q.
