Finally took the time to read your guide and I have to say that you made surprisingly well detailed guide. Very nice! ^^ The only thing I really disagree on is your Sunfire Cape. I'd rather pick Frozen Heart for the CDR and its other passive. Maybe a Thornmail vs an AD team or any fed AD champ like Tryndamere since it simply outdamages Sunfire Cape. I love how you took the time to explain a couple of champions btw.

Great guide, +1 from me. Keep it up. ;)

Cheers.

Quoted:

Randuin's and Rylai's provide much needed CC and slows the other team down. Giving your more time to kill and your TEAM more time to kill.

It's more beneficiary to the team.

The Sunfire Cape boosts your AOE presence and adds to your damage and tankiness.

Why are you playing morde if you need more AoE presence and CC?

Swain, Nasus, or Vlad do that job a lot better.

Randuin's is a good item for full tank Morde, but not worth it over frozen heart(And it's cheaper) for AP morde.

Sunfire Cape is nowhere near as much tank or damage as Frozen Heart for only 160 more gold.

And Rylai's is pretty useless, just a flat 80 ap versus 70ap, 20 magic pen for your allies, and 57 magic resist on Abyssals (and it's cheaper.)

I'm not saying that your item choices are bad persay, they just aren't as good as they could be.

Also, i disagree with morde's purpose in a team being the chaser.

Morde's skill set makes him more of a Tanky Anti-Carry.

He gets into the team fight, ults their carry, and they either run, or die and either way you win the 5-6v4, his other purpose is his large ability to simply shut down a large amount of characters in lane.

Most notably, characters like Le Blanc, Vlad, and Swain.

That is why he takes Ignite.

When i play Morde, it goes something like this:

I rush Will of the Ancients+ Hextech Revolver+ Sorcerer's Shoes, and then procede to outlane any opponant in the game.

Then i buy a Frozen Heart, or a Force of Nature depending on the team composition, getting a Negatron Cloak and a Chain Vest after the above three items.

After i've completed those, I will buy an Abyssal Mask, and upgrade my Hextech Revolver into a Hextech Gunblade.

I've never lost a tower as mordekaiser in over 200 games as him.

Often times after i have my WotA+Revolver combo, I'll look at my gold, and notice i have upwards of 2, 3, and even 4k gold because it's been that long since I've gone back to base.

The fact of the matter though, is that Morde lives on the mistakes of the other team.

That is the reason that he isn't so viable in very high ELO ranked matches.

He is simply too hard to fit into a team, and is countered too heavily by the CC heavy meta that exists in 1.5k+ ELO.

These are just my opinions of course.

At that level 4% is the equivalent of 30 MR, and that only increases as you get higher stats.

I'm pretty sure that's not how the Defense mastery works.

Also, Utility is plain better for mordekaiser than defense.

The cooldown reduction, movement speed, and experience masteries outweigh the defensive tree.

Just the cooldown reduction makes you tankier than the defense tree.

Seriously, why take these items?

Surprising is a good guide for someone so new (no offense) but if you really want to make it in depth, I suggest you cover some other mid/solo champions. Nidalee is generally considered one of the best, so you could start there.

I would also suggest switching Zhonya's Hourglass with SFC in your two moderate armor builds...benefits you more.

I like to rush FoN early on due to the fact that it sustains my spell spamming and also gives me the ability to switch lanes for ganks as I can regen HP quickly.

That's my reasoning behind it :D

i don't like rushing a FoN, its more useful once you get some more HP.
Your guide is really well written and explains a lot about mordekaiser though, so for that +1
