Introduction

Welcome to this guide! I'm Eagled and I ended Season 6 as a Platinum 3 player on EUW. Champions that have 1vs5 potential always fascinated me, that's why I mostly play fighters/juggernauts. My "hardmain" is, as you maybe could guess, Darius. I have currently ~300.000 Mastery Points with him and I'm maining him since his rework.

My profile (12/16/2016)

I also have "secondary mains" like Jax, Yorick or Yasuo, but due to the current meta I can't play them that much, unfortunately. As you can see in the picture, I'm at the moment Gold 5. The reason for that is the seedings, that you have to do every season. With a 5/5 Seeding, I got placed Silver 2, unfortunately, so it will take some time to return into Platinum.

I'm also german, so if you're german too, feel free to add me and maybe we can have a talk or do some games :)

In future, I'll also start a YouTube-Channel, which will mainly focus on League of Legends and Pokemon. So if you can understand german and are interested in one of those games, feel free to have a look at my channel! I'll give my best to produce good videos!

This guide is still in progress! Means I'll still add more stuff in future, so you can learn more! For now, I've written down the most important things.

So that's enough of introduction. Let's get right into the ne..... uh guide!

Runes

Let me explain the runes on this playstyle on Darius.

Red
What you always want to take is the 8x flat AD red und 1x crit chance red. There's no way around that. You take the 1 crit chance for a cheeky lucky trade or kill, it will work wonders, trust me! It helped me out a lot.

Yellow & Blue
Now, you have multiple options.
If you go against an AD, Take flat armor on blues and yellows. If you go against an AP, take scaling HP yellows and scaling MR blues.
If you go against an hybrid (e.g. Jax, Kennen, ...) take flat armor yellows and scaling MR blues.

Quints
At the moment, I mostly take 3x flat AD Quints. The 7 AD you get are just too good for a better early game. You can go 3x flat AS for those smoother auto attacks and trades, but for now I wouldn't recommend it because your early will be significantly weaker (You'll really feel it). If you're not that good at farming or AA predicting, I recommend using 3x flat AS Quints.

Masteries & Core Itembuilds

You're going 18/0/12 with Fevor of Battle as your keystone. But why exactly like that?
First of all, the buffed FoB is just too good on Bruisers. You get those free AD with just 4 AAs, and those AD you get raises the power of everything you have: Passive, Q, W, R, AAs.

Advantages for Teamfighter Darius:
Your general lifesteal and damage output increases drasticly. Calculated up, you have around above 600 AD at level 18 with this build. Now imagine your heal and damage output, when your core is triple boots, Black Cleaver, Spirit Visage and Death's Dance. Combined with Steraks, Deaths Dance and your overall HP amount (4000) and tankyness (~170 resistances) you'll be able to tank a lot of burst and DPS and still survive long, also dealing tons of damage to their frontline and oneshotting carries.

Advantages for 24/7 Top raidboss Darius:
24/7 Top raidboss Darius profits a lot from this build, since he stacks it very fast and you maybe can guess, how bad a Darius in passive mode, full FoB stacked, W empowered critical hit hurts(Your chance to crit will be around 1/3, means every 3rd AA!!). It will be impossible for any top laner to 1v1 you in this stage, they most likely will need 3 to kill you, because in the current meta the tank jungler won't be a help at all since you'll just simply kill him after you reset. And because of that reason you just want to stick around top and build a nice house. With that, you'll give your team plenty of opportunities to do something on the map, even though you may die sometimes, due to the swarm of champions coming at you. The 12% damage reduction from PD also gives you more bulk, so that's why you want to go in a 2v1 situation for their top laner. With triple boots and passive PD effect, you'll also always be able to stick on your targets, most proficient combined with ghost. If you thinking now I'm joking with this build, no I'm absolutely serious about this. Here's for example a Screenshot of a small Streak I had with this build on my main account in ranked: http://imgur.com/a/9iykv

What speaks against Courage of the Colossus?

It simply reduces your good early game drastically. How do you want to become a raidboss who is building an inn at top lane, if you can't even get fed? Sure you will be able to tank more, but for the carry Darius we want to play, it's not recommended at all, since carrying will be harder. But if you decide to go full tank Darius, CoC is a valid option, just make sure you hit a grab in a teamfight.

What speaks against Stormraider's Surge?

Since the teleport nerf, teleport isn't a must have anymore. So to get the SS effect, you can simply take ghost as your 2nd summoner spell and you don't even have to sacrifice damage or tankiness, just to be a little bit more stickier. You can take it though against match ups like Ryze or Nasus, but really, I don't recommend playing this.

What speaks against Grasp of the Undying?

It got nerfed to death. Good for short trades, but it nowadays get's outclassed by every viable keystone Darius can take.
