Writers Note/Changelog

I play alot- I have 2 other accounts that I use, both lv30, have played since far before XinZhao (I can't remember exactly when >_<.)
My favorite characters are generally Assassins- Akali, Vayne, Kassadin. I can do any role but jungle generally (I just find it phenomenally boring, and have trouble ganking...Personal issue.) though I enjoy supporting occassionally (Janna FTW.) I like a lot of AD carries, Caitlyn, Vayne, Ashe, Tristana... though I prefer Assassins. I forum surf out of boredom, and imagine games when I'm grounded (like the entire games, laning phase to end phase..I can do it forever...Yeah i'm a little upsessed) I'm very young, 13. Don't hate. I've played DotA, HoN, LoL, and other Moba's since I was 5, and generally have a better understanding than people older than me.

11/16/2011 First Version!

11/16/2011 Added the skill pictures and all- thank you SO much HuntieBoy. If anyone could tell me what the code is for Playful/trickster is that'd help... None of the versions I've tried put it in >_<

Introduction

First of all, what kind of character is Fizz? He is a flexible AP assassin (>NOT< a carry, though it is possible, he is better made tanky considering how heavily he is focused once his E is down.) He is crazy aggressive early game, and can absolutely destroy AP carrys/AD's with 0 defensive items (the current metagame, apparently.) Right now, he is stupidly OP, that is true, but I notice people seem to think that RoA>Rabadon>Lich is the way to go. But with that build, once your E is gone, you die in less than half a second. You wont last the 5 seconds for your E, and will only be able to kill one of their carries. Please bear with me, I've never used Mobafire for creating a guide before ^_^ (actually never created a guide, ever...)

Runes

Standard AP Glyphs/Quints( Greater Quintessence of Health Greater Quintessence of Ability Power) though you could use more HP regen/MS if you don't have them. Flat health is really nice too. Great seals are Greater Seal of Regeneration(I prefer the per/level ones since you are solo and by lv4 they are just as good as the flats) Greater Seal of Armor. CDR is amazing. No glyphs can replace Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction. If you don't have them, definitely use Greater Glyph of Magic Resist

Masteries

Ah, masteries. Since I build tanky, I go 9/21/0, taking all the CDR, HP, HP regen, and magic-related things I can have. Why not 21/9/0 or 9/0/21? Because the defense tree is undoubtedly the best for characters that go in and out of the front lines. 21/9/0 could work, and I've tried it, but I much prefer the defencive route.
Enlightenment Initiator Veteran's Scars are just pure awesomeness.

Items

Alot of people will question these items. But I find them absolutely amazing.
Doran's Ringx2 give early survivability, fix mana problems, and cause your W to deal a whopping 80-100 damage at lv1 (until it's nerfed.) Ionian Boots of Lucidity will gives you ~30% cdr, maximized with the blue pot. Why no Rod of Ages and why rush Rylai's Crystal Scepter? It makes your Urchin Strike a 35% slow for hitting Playful / Trickster, helps TONS with juking. I think it gives a 15% slow on Seastone Trident, gotta check that. His E, Playful/Trickster, is now a ~80% slow on Playful, a 15% slow on Trickster if you need to use it, and MAXIMIZES your Chum the Waters slow to 85/95/105%. That is like a 2 or 3 second maxed nasus wither! AND it slows them by 15% after the knockup. Why wouldn't you get that ASAP? Abyssal Mask and Lichbane can be switched, Abyssal can be swapped for Void Staff if they're tanky and/or don't have many AP chars. But generally, single target nukes are what shut down fizz after he uses his E. Zhonya's Hourglass gives enough Armor (that can be swapped with abyssal/void staff into first place too) for surviving most things, in addition to letting you invul for 2 seconds while waiting for Playfuls 5 second cooldown. Lichbane explains itself. Why no Rabadon's Deathcap? Fizz doesn't need it, he has high sustain and low cooldowns, and he's generally too squishy if he gets that in place of other items. Rabadon, Banshee's Veil, Void Staff, Thornmail, and other situational items are for his 6th slot.

Skill Sequence

You only need lv1 Urchin Strike, your Playful/Trickster is amazing, your Seastone Tridentis phenomenally OP.

Summoner Spells

Why Ghost instead of Flash or Cleanse? Ghost is great on Fizz, he doesn't need yet another flash with his Q+E, and the MS lets you protect your jungler while starting with W. If they attack, they wont be able to run and you can just regular attack them for 100+ damage.
Ghost could be replaced with Cleanse or Surge, but I usually put cleanse in the second slot anyway.

Best Fizz Spells: Cleanse should definitely always be your second summoner with the buffs it received. Ignite is nice if you want/need that extra damage for stupid amount of burst. Surge would be my third choice, with all the AP+attack speed it gives. Teleport is a defnite if you're heading top.

The Less Useful: Heal, Clarity, Promote, Flash, are neither bad nor the greatest.
You shouldn't need clarity, Heal could work well if you're good at baiting or don't have a good initiator, Promote is only if you're having fun. If you like flash or don't like ghost, you could replace ghost.

The Useless: Clairvoyance, Revive, Smite

Smite obviously because only junglers should get it. (if you're jungling then go ahead!)
Revive....you might as well take ghost or teleport. Clairvoyance, since the nerf, isn't that great for non-supports, though if the enemy has say, Shaco, Twitch, and Eve it would work wonders. Or if they have a counter-jungler and your support doesn't take it/dont have one.

Creeping

Lots of Fizz's have trouble with this. It is difficult to last hit with such a low amount of damage, and a passive that can sometimes disrupt your last hits. Generally, you only want to last hit when you are baiting them in for a q+w combo, or when they're gone.
Later in the game, you can use Playful for creep sweeps.

Early Game

This is probably Fizz's most important time of play. You will want to head mid/top (take teleport for top!!) unless they have certain characters (So far I've only really played against other Fizz's...More on countering your counters later. Right now, Lee Sin has proven one huge counter to him.) who can zone you easily. You play passively, attacking with your 175 range whenever they get too close to you (if they're melee.) You want to stall until at the very least, level 2 when you can actually close in on them. Activate your W before you Q, always!! Q than hit them and back away (E when you get it..). This combo generally costs ~100 mana, which you regenerate quickly, and deals 200+ damage. Keep repeating.

Specific Characters

Fizz: You want to wait for him to use his skills. If he doesn't, than just last hit away. With quick enough reactions, you can E before his Q hits (USE PLAYFUL NOT TRICKSTER!!) and destroy him. When you get your ultimate, always wait for him to use Playful/Trickster before using it, or place it directly under where he lands. Generally Fizz wars are risky and even the worst player can destroy a good fizz with a bit of luck. Don't try bursting him instantly- harrass and back out before he deals the amount you did.

Lee Sin: Armor. Armor. And Armor. Get a early Chain Vest , and keep the minions between you. Hit him once than disengage- don't try to have an melee war- you WIll LOSE because of his Q/W. If he misses his Q, dive him immediately or zone, and E out when you judge it is nearly back up.

Mid/Lategame

By Midgame, you should have sheen, Ionian Boots of Lucidity, and 2 Doran's Ring- with a Giant Beltnow, you should be warding (EVERYONE should ward, not just the support/jungler/tank) important places when you can. Be careful of being ganked, gank alot with allies, push lanes to the first tower, farm, and be a annoyance in all the lanes. You don't need blue- give it to the support if your jungler offers.

When teamfights erupt, always ult a squishy/troublesome counter before diving. Your ultimate either shuts down someone for ~3 seconds, or blocks off an area. Dive their squishy with ghost, Q+W, if your ult hit them, hten use Playful after that for a instaneous 75%+ slow when the shark knocks them up. They should die soon. Ignore the tank and hhead for the next squishy with W+Q, if you got focused down or low life than back off (come back in if the teamfights close/ your winning/ its a 1v1 between lowlifes.) At this point of lowlife, you should bait them by tantalizing them and jumping over them (so you're SLIGHTLY behind them and hit Trickster) Use your Q and juke them to appear next to your teammates who will probably pull the kill. (extremely useful trick^) Never, ever focus the tank. If you baron, you are a GREAT staller. If someone is approaching, you can stall them for a good amount of time by ulting them and/or Q+ Playful above them.
