This is my first guide on mobafire, and what better way to start it then starting it with Garen, the Lawn Mower of Demacia. Garen is a tanky dps champion with out any defense items, but the items I added help with survivablity, Dmg, and speed. Don't be afraid of your opponents, BE AGRESSIVE. And remember I was doing this guide while watching TV in my basement with nothing to do on a rainy day. Blah Blah Blah, (why are you still reading this, continue on the guide!)

I'm not lvl thirty yet, so i really dont care about runes, without runes I get ~20 kills per game give or take. Use your sense on runes. I put in some that make the most sense to me. ( I chose some pretty CHEAP runes that cost the least money)

Pretty straight forward 21/9/0 masteries, 3 points in CdR and 4 in attack rate. Offense for more dmg and branched into Defense for nimbleness. More MR then Armor because the guide doesnt include MR.

Okay build one is the legit build that I use for 3's with Garen. The second one, ill explain later. First I start out with Boots, 3 Health Potion, and Judgment.[Judgment gives you most of your damage and its enough for a while. Since this guide is for 3's, and I haven't tested it out yet in 5's, don't be afraid to go into the bottom bush with your team right behind. Usally I have a lot of kills before I have to go back to base. Judgment Decimates everything from lvl 1 to 5. After staying in lane for as long as you can, we go back to base for our Boots of Swiftness and if you have enough money, part of Phage. go back to lane and rack up some more kills. Next is Sword of the Occult for it stacks. The only times I go back to base is when I have to, not because the amount of gold I have, the only time that comes into play for me is if i have like 2.2k gold. The game progresses, and finally you'll have your Frozen Mallet the health and effect on this thing work wonders for Garen. Thornmail is next to counter that insane Tryndamere or Master Yi, Then Warmog's Armor is next, and now your HP is at freaking 4k. Finally it is time for Atma's Impaler for its insane attack damage, which benefits off your HP. Now your unstoppable and you have over 15 kills, if your smart/good. Have fun with 4k hp and AD, and a bunch of armor.

First is Judgment then one point in Decisive Strike. Then its Judgment again then Courage. Then we max Judgment first. Here is what I find weird about most other Garen guides, they max Decisive Strike first instead of Courage. Sure Decisive Strike gives you that movement speed but id rather have a shorter cooldown and greater dmg reduction on Courage. So Courage is next and then finally Decisive Strike. Personally I think that Judgment is the best ability in the game and the moneky king wukong is ripping it off in his ultimate.

Good Spells
Exhaust- slows them down for your Judgment and makes them do less damage.

Flash - Self explanatory.

Ghost- I dont use this personally, but it seems like it could work on chasing people down.

Bad Spells

Clarity- Your mentally ******ed

Teleport- its 3's, not required.

Rally- See Clarity

Clairvoyance- Your not a support now are you?

Fortify- see Teleport

Heal- I've never used it on any champion.

Revive- If you have ever taken this spell, you are the definition of a terrible player.

Smite- GAREN JUNGLES????? I NEVER KNEW THAT!!!!!!

Cleanse - I despise this spell.

Garen is a badass that plays roulette ever time he uses his correct Judgment. And of course he is a force to be reckoned with if you fight him 1v1. Enemies bunched up are a gift from god to Garen, run in and scream DEMACIA!!!!!!!!1 and start spinning.

I'm not lvl 30, can someone give me some feedback on this part. I hope to be lvl 30 soon!

Since this build doesnt have MR, tell your team to focus the AP in the enemy team ( if they have) other wise i wouldn't worry cause Garen can sustain Damage and Dish it out too.

Who to lane with

Any champion that has a slow such as Infected Bonesaw or Parrrley.

Who not to lane with

Other Tanks. 2 tanks may never die, but not get many kills.

AWESOME SKINS

Never mind about build two, its been removed. I've learned that boots don't stack and only override each others movement speed. Maybe I was thinking I had 2x speed and thats why I got away from most things. The human mind is complex indeed.
