Introduction
Hello,im Battle brawler and this is my first guide on mobafire,i have been playing league for about 3 years now and have alot of experience in top,mid and most of all jungle.This is my first guide so please tell me how i can improve on it.Udyr is a extremely strong pick at the moment and ill give details on how to play him to his full potential
Udyr strengths and weaknesses
1. He usually does the most damage in the game,outscalling in levels,magic AND physical damage

2. He has one of the fastest clears in the game with his Phoenix stance if used correctly
3. He functions well as a split-pusher due to his on-hit magic damage from devourer and wits end,resulting in over 120 BONUS magic damage per hit
4. He is insanely strong at solo taking objectives such as dragon at level 4,baron,and full health outer turrets
5. He has a very versatile kit as he has duelling potential and splitpushing with his tiger,sustain from his turtle,cc and movement speed from bear and AOE from his Phoenix that helps clear waves and camps quickly.From this his build paths are very unique and each build can focus on an individual playstyle you want udyr to revolve around.
-Godyr is vulnerable to kiting.
-Godyr doesn't have that strong a early-mid game as tiger
-Godyr needs to farm to get his power spike
-Godyr duels less powerfully than tiger,at least early-mid game
-Godyr has a insane spike in power late game.
-Godyr can solo many objectives such as baron,dragon and outer turrets
-Godyr pushes waves quickly and still does alot of damage on towers
-Godyr has an insane amount of hybrid damage that is hard to itemize against
-Tiger udyr has a weaker late game
-Tiger udyr is vulnerable to kiting,not as much as Godyr though
-Tiger udyr does only one type of damage
-Tiger udyr has high power early-mid game
-Tiger udyr can duel people like Jax,pantheon and lee sin early on
-Tiger udyr can splitpush earlier than Godyr
-Tiger udyr allows for really early solo dragons
-Tiger udyr is hard to run away from as his frozen mallet,randuin's omen,zephyr tenacity and movement speed ,BOTRK active slow,Yoummu's ghostblade,his passive and his bear stun plus movement speed
-Cindyr loses out on alot of damage if the enemy ADC isnt focusing him/fed
-Cindyr has no particular good scaling on any of his abilities or auto attacks
-Cindyr relies heavily on gromp smite buff,so if he gets counter-jungled or doesn't have smite up he takes away a large portion of his late game damage
-Cindyr is the best among all udyr builds as an anti-Kiter due to his insane burn damage with Cinderhulk,Gromp smite buff and thornmail
-Cindyr is incredibly tanky and reflects even more damage with gromp smite buff the more tanky he is
-Cindyr doesn't rely as heavily on mana as Tidyr/Godyr
Most of the masteries that aren't listed are self explanatory

These are soo important on udyr,all your stances are spells and you need to auto attack to proc their effects,plus you keep on switching between stances early game to keep up your passive stacks,this really affects your damage output over the course of the game
These are just godly on any champion.Most champions benefit from the 3% increased damage,however they usually dont make use of either the armour pen or magic pen.Udyr uses this mastery soo well,with his tiger stance doing high AD damage and his Phoenix doing high AP damage,he becomes a monster doing so much hybrid damage,with magic damage from his Phoenix,Wits end and devourer plus Attack damage from his Tiger and auto attacks.
Dont take
I feel this mastery is bad for Junglers as you take the increased 1% damage from all the jungle monsters,but you only deal 2% more damage to the monsters you actually hit,thus losing unnecessary health which is bad when you want to power farm the jungle
This would actually be pretty decent if you were building crit chance to synergies with phoenix but you only get the crit from triforce which is unreliable
Your build wont give you alot of AD because most of the damage comes from the on-hit from devourer and wits end,which is already insanely high so no more damage needs to be built,so the point will be wasted
Attack speed is essential as in allows you to proc your phoenix more often and clear faster.
Magic resist to mitigate casters damage late game,pretty standard
You also need at least some AD to make your turtle heal more and to not only depend solely on your phoenix
Amour lets you survive early in the jungle and lets you power farm for longer,like magic resist,its pretty standard
You need the scaling health to top off your resistances late game,since season 4 this has become common among most pro players
This will be brief,ill discuss the main core items and why you need them
This is almost essential for udyr.This increases your tanky potential and increases your overall damage exponentially.He benefits from all the stats provided.
This gives you alot of good stats.The 20% cdr is insane allowing you to spam your abilities alot more often.Combined with the insane amount of mana,you never go oom.
Flat out sheer amount of health allows you to be bulky considering you already have tons of armor from frozen heart and probably ninja tabi.The heath regen lets him have sustain even without having the lifesteal from turtle.
This gives you soo many stats which are just godly on udyr.The 10% cdr tops off your cdr cap.The increased sustain gives your turtle and warmogs immense healing powers,allowing you to soak up damage from mages and sustain your health back up.
This is a core item on Cindyr since the early game tankiness in insane and the early game sunfire passive adds up a huge amount to your burn damage
This is basically your second gromp smite buff.With this,Cinderhulk AND gromp smite buff,you become an ADC's worst nightmare.
This spell is great and you should take this instead of ghost if you are more experienced with udyr as you can flash stun someone and make your ganks more lethal to enemies even if they are not pushed
This is great for tiger udyr as you can tp to lanes and push quickly.However as Godyr you need the mobility spells as you dont have as much cc as tiger udyr[/url
This can be used if you are in lane as the DOT with tiger is just insane,however as a jungler i dont recommend it since you wont get much kill potential since you are not against any opponent
It is actually quite effective at ganking as you can slow them from a range and catch up with bear to land the stun easier,take it if the enemy has 2-3 powerful snowballers to reduce their damage drastically(Example:Katarina,Xin zhao,Akali)
This gives you incredible map pressure and better ganks against PUSHED lanes.Take if you are new/inexperienced with udyr AND/OR the enemy team has little to no dashes or blinks.

STANCE ACTIVATION: Udyr gains attack speed for 5 seconds. Udyr will perform a Tiger Strike with his first basic attack after activation, dealing bonus physical damage over 2 seconds to the target.
ATTACK SPEED BONUS: 30 / 40 / 50 / 60 / 70%
TOTAL BONUS DAMAGE OVER TIME: 30 / 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 (+ 120 / 130 / 140 / 150 / 160% AD)
PERSISTENT EFFECT: Udyr's basic attacks deal bonus physical damage equal to 15% of his attack damage.
The core ability for Tiger udyr,this ability is strong early-mid game for duelling and soloing objectives early on.It functions as the split pushing ability of both Tiger and Godyr.Using it and then waiting for the cooldown before auto attacking to apply the first use DOT,auto in between and the auto attacking again with the second tiger has an immense amount of burst early on and is your core burst as Tiger udyr
Turtle Stance COST: 47 / 44 / 41 / 38 / 35 MANA COOLDOWN: 6
STANCE ACTIVATION: Udyr gains a shield for up to 5 seconds.
SHIELD STRENGTH: 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+ 50% AP)
PERSISTENT EFFECT: Udyr gains life steal.
LIFE STEAL: 10 / 12 / 14 / 16 / 18%
This is your sustain and shield,it is spammable and allows you to mitigate damage from dragon,baron and towers.The lifesteal is stronger on tiger udyr as it synergies with your AD but Godyr can use it to when solo taking towers.
Bear Stance COST: 47 / 44 / 41 / 38 / 35 MANA COOLDOWN: 6 ON-TARGET COOLDOWN: 6
STANCE ACTIVATION: For a short duration, Udyr gains increased movement speed, ignores unit collision, and performs a short dash towards enemy champions he stuns with his attacks.
MOVEMENT SPEED BONUS: 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 35%
MOVEMENT SPEED DURATION: 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 / 2.75 / 3
PERSISTENT EFFECT: Udyr's basic attacks stun the target for 1 second. This effect cannot occur on the same target more than once every few seconds.
This is your mobility and cc,allowing you to keep up with mobile opponents and locking them down for you/your team to burst them.
Phoenix Stance COST: 47 / 44 / 41 / 38 / 35 MANA COOLDOWN: 6
STANCE ACTIVATION: Udyr unleashes pulsing waves of fire around himself for 5 seconds, dealing magic damage each second to enemies within 250 range.
MAGIC DAMAGE PER WAVE: 15 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 (+ 25% AP)
TOTAL MAGIC DAMAGE: 75 / 125 / 175 / 225 / 275 (+ 125% AP)
PERSISTENT EFFECT: On the first attack after activation and on every third subsequent attack, Udyr engulfs enemies in flames, dealing magic damage in a cone in front of him.
MAGIC DAMAGE - 1ST ATTACK & PER THIRD ATTACK: 40 / 80 / 120 / 160 / 200 (+ 45% AP)
FLAME RANGE: 625
This core ability for Godyr,lets you power farm the jungle at immense speeds and getting you devourer stacks so quickly.The waveclear is soo strong and using it once then waiting for the cooldown before attacking an enemy,followed by using it again can create a double flame which is your burst damage as Godyr.
Tips to help improve gameplay.
-Try to position yourself to hit all or most of the jungle creeps with your phoenix AOE,as shown below.
-When ganking,dont bother using your bear stance until the enemy has blown their escape (Example: Katarina shunpo(E))Just walk in with your phoenix 3 hit/Tiger DOT ready.
-When ambushing an enemy from a bush,do it like you are ganking and walk out not with bear but with your phoenix 3 hit/Tiger DOT.After applying the damage,use bear to cc and catch up if they attempt to run.
-You should have 120+ cs at 25 minutes and 220+ after 35 minutes.Ideally place less emphasis on stacking your devourer when you have around 60 stacks as you do alot of damage already.
-To push quickly,use Tiger to apply the DOT on the cannon minion,otherwise use phoenix most of the time.Tiger is mainly reserved for duelling and pushing down towers.
-When you are about to do a camp,especially early on,throw in turtle stance in such a way that you can activate phoenix when you reach the camp but still have the shield from your turtle stance.
