Kassadin
Hard-counters you because of his Q cancelling your R. He can also jump out of your R and over your wall (W) with his R. You have absolutely zero (pun intended) chance to kill him in lane if he's playing good. Everything comes down to how good you play in mid/late game.
Poppy
She can push enemies into your wall to stun them!

Who am I and why did I make this guide?
I started playing Anivia pre-season 8 and I've been maining her for periods ever since. While writing this guide I have a 69% winrate on 70 games with Anivia in ranked. I'm also sitting with 238k mastery points on her.
So why did I make this guide? Well, the answer is quiet simple: I love playing Anivia and I want other players, regardless of rank and experience, to fully experience how awesome it is to play this champion.
Here is my OP.GG if you are interested: https://eune.op.gg/summoner/userName=Hisame
To make the guide short and concise I've decided to write most of the information about the items, runes etc. in the notes. So if you for example are wondering when or why you should buy Zhonya's Hourglass, just check the item notes above!
-Easy to kite with
-Difficult for the enemy to all in you
-Fun to play (many things to master)
-Good to climb with
-Can hard-carry games if used correctly
-Wall (w) is one of the best ability in the game
-Great AoE stun and ultimate
-High burst potential in during the entire game
-Most champs are easy to play against thanks too her good survivability in lane thanks to her passive
Cons:
-Difficult to roam with
-Bad wall (W) can make you loose games

Makes you survive easier in lane and make you die less. You can use it to bait people to dive you if you're convinced you'll survive.
Q (Flash Frost):

Use it combined with and E to poke the enemies for decent damage early and insane damage mid/late-game. Try to stun multiple enemies in team fights. Try always having your R under the enemy/enemies before using it to make it easier to land (thanks to R slow) and do more damage (thanks to the R doing damage to the enemy while stunned).
W (Crystallize):

You can make people go around the wall automatically if you place it in front of them. Use this to your advantage and throw a Q at the spot where they will walk. In team fights you want to separate anyone, who comes to close to you, from the rest of their team to make them an easy target for your team. While chasing an enemy in the jungle NEVER block of the path completely if they can flash/jump over it, because if you do they might flash over and you have to burn your flash aswell. You can also zone the enemy from farm by placing your wall (W) infront of them when they're going to last hit.
E (Frost Bite):

Almost never throw this on an enemy who won't take double damage from it because that's a waste of mana. In teamfights try to hit one with double damage on the enemy carries.
R (Glacial Storm)

Place this under the enemy to slow and be able to throw an easy Q or a strong E. You can place this under an enemy and then block of their path out of it (with your W) for extra damage. In laning phase you can zone your enemy from farm by placing it between their minions and them. In team fights try to place it under as many people as possible or to zone the enemy.

Always take flash no matter what. Anivia is very immobile so this summoner helps with that.
TELEPORT:

Usually the second summoner spell I choose when playing Anivia. It's an all around good summoner spell that scales great into the late game. Early and mid game this summoner spell will enable you to gank lanes easier and / or get a "free" recall. Late game it lets you splitpush (if you decided to do that). Lastly it gives you great objective control because you will be able to arrive at a certain objective, like for example baron, in time regardless of where on the map you currently are.
IGNITE:

Ignite is useful on Anivia in two situations. If you want kill presure early game OR if you're facing an enemy that heals a lot. A scenerio would be if you're facing a Vladimir in the mid lane. In this case ignite would be a viable option because he heals a lot and you also have a relatively easy lane phase which means you might be able to kill him.
SMITE:

You might see this and think I'm trolling. But I'm not! In my opinion I actually think it's a viable summoner in some scenarios. If you don't need a specific summoner spell (except teleport which is always a viable option) you can choose smite because it helps your team secure dragons, baron and herald. It also makes it faster and easier for you to take jungle camps from the enemy jungle and take your allied blue buff. You can also try to steal the enemy junglers camps if the jungler doesn't see you coming. But remember that Teleport usually is a better / more safe option.
BARRIER:

Barrier is a great summoner spell if you are facing a high burst champion, like for example Zed, Leblanc or Talon. If you're facing a heavy AD champion you can combine this with an early Seeker's Armguard which makes it really difficult for them to kill you which forces them to roam if they want any kills which in turn makes them loose pressure mid.
CLEANSE:

Cleanse is a decent summoner spell if you are facing a heavy crowd control team. I would consider this if they have atleast three champions with a lot of CC in their team. An example would be if they had a Fiddlesticks, Cassiopeia and a Leona on their team.
This will do decent damage and doesn't cost a lot of mana. You can also trade pretty easily with this combo because of Anivias range.
Post-6 Combo: R-W-Q-E-aa
This combo can one-shot a squishy target in mid/late-game. If fed your E can literally ONE-SHOT the ADC. In teamfights you can also hit multiple targets with your R and Q and trap them all with your wall (W).
-Try to bait dives in early game with your egg. Dumb enemies will forget your egg and dive or flash you just for the "kill" which they won't get.
-Use your ultimate (R) or wall (W) to zone the enemy from farm under their turret.
-Use your range on auto-attacks to your advantage and harass the enemy in laning phase.
