Just a little background about my profile and then the guide. I am Bocajy in-game as well and I'm in Platinum as of Season 3 mostly because I haven't had time for much ranked lately. I am a 20-year old College student. I have been playing League of Legends since the ending of Season 1. Over the years I have grown to be very good at the support role. I've always wanted to make a guide for Janna because I have become very very good with her and mastered her strengths and weaknesses with her and her capabilities as a support. In Season 4, she has become even more powerful in my opinion. If you play her right, she can be considered the most deadly support because of disengage and also engage that no other support at this time can deal out. I am happy to receive any feedback! Runes is really up to you. However, I would suggest taking the 3 AP Quintessences and 5 AP Glyphs.
For marks, I am still experimenting. I am using Magic Pen for now. Using armor marks and mana regen seals could be a good alternative for armor runes.
Depending on your playstyle, you can use either mana regen or armor seals. I highly recommend armor. If you have mana problems, replace Morellos with an Athene's and get an early Chalice.
For glyphs, I use scaling magic resist and 5 Ap runes. I have personal preference with 5 AP glyphs because 5 of them is 6 AP. and then i always use scaling magic resist on all my non-mid pages.
You have no choice in the Quints. GET AP! or flat health because they are a lot stronger in Season 4.

Masteries are your choice. If you want to be aggressive with my preferred AP page all game. Use 21/9/0. If you want to receive more money and faster build by about 5 minutes sooner but less damage and weak early.. use the 0/9/21. Thats the only two options i can think of right now.

Oh the variety of item builds you can choose on Janna. I always suggest getting Spellthief's and if you are using support masteries then you can get 2 biscuits and a ward. I also suggest Sightstone. Not only is it free wards but needed health too. Buying Rabadon's with a combo of Athene's or Morello's. 2 CD items is much needed as well. as long as you can get 35% the masteries will cover the last 5%. Example - Morello + Ionian Boots. DONT FORGET WARDS just a few before. Pinks are not as important but can be useful so always have one on the map or in your inventory.

Always go shield first. I prefer W second because of movement speed. Overall pretty general on skill order.

Janna is so OP in this season. Her Passive Tailwind has been nerfed globally but buffed in a teamfight. 3%->5%. Her [Q]Howling Gale has a great scale as well now with its new charge up AP ratio. Use it to engage and disengage fights. Her [W]Zephyr scales so well. It increases her movement speed and increases the slow and damage on the active. Her shield [E]Eye of the Storm gives more attack damage for each 10 AP! Go AP Janna - give 60-100 Attack Damage to your carries or tanks. Her [R]Monsoon is a great heal and disengage.

All in all, if you are going to support Janna. Go AP Focused. Fight safely and peel for your ADC. Keep your ultimate ready for any assasins or to seperate and single out members of the enemy team.
