Yes, I know, the name is wrong. Jayce, the Defender of Tomorrow*. Jayce is probably the easiest/hardest top lane you will play. He doesn't get countered much if he knows how to play. Jayce can go tanky if countered damage wise, he can build anything he wants depending on the situation. He is improvisation itself since every match is a different build.

Basic runes, you don't really need to follow mine, but it works. I just layed out the key ones to be strong early game. Attack Damage = must, Attack Speed = not so much, but still awesome to have. Armor/Mage Pen = must.

Do I really need to explain? Think of this as a normal AD top lane bruiser. Done. No need to waste time.

PROS:
- He is versatile, hard to counter
- Deals insane amounts of damage throughout entire match.
- Fast, strong and tanky (what more do you want)
- Great for engaging, running, chasing, dancing and killstealing.

CONS:
- Needs a lot of practice to learn what to do in every situation.
- Depends a lot mana early game.
- Doesn't have many skins, yet they are *high pitch* AWESOME!

HAMMER STANCE: Important to know! His W returns mana to him whenver he basic attacks in hamemer stance. So, whenever you can, hammer those minions. Only when its safe! Otherwise, your W isn;t as usefull as your Q or E. Use your E strategically. Push people towards your tower, away from your tower, away from you, toward your teammates or just use it to finish them off and ks.

CANNON STANCE: Use this to farm and poke, but beware that your mana quickly depletes at low levels. Start off fights with the E+Q combo, use your W, hit R, play round with them, and if needed, switch back for a quick 3 burst and a last hit blast.

IGNITE: Use to kill those lucky guys who survive your tower dives. Use it to stop Mundo from getting so much HP back, use it to troll. Doesn't matter, just use it.

FLASH: Your best friend when trying to land a good E in hammer stance. It really pissed people off when you slow them and throw em towards your other 4 teammates.

SMITE: Jayce can also jungle, so if you are jungling him, this is the best spell to replace ignite.

Play defensive unless you are getting lots of ganks, your opponent isn't great, or both! You are Jayce, you will always get kills or assist (mostly kills though).

FARM AS MUCH AS YOU CAN!!!!! Jayce isn't himself without his large farm. Last hit as much as you can, help other lanes if needed (take a couple minions from there), counter jungle if you can, just get that money coming in.

As i said before, your slow and your knock back help your team by creating space to engage. You can also use your cannon E to speed your team up to run towards or away the enemy.
